Mum has enjoyed her stay here and since she became unwell, manager & staff hae been amazing. Under new management the home has improved. Mum used to love going out on minibus which helped to break up the day and change of scenery.
Staff are friendly and welcoming. The home itself is very clean and my dad instantly felt settled. He is a new resident so that's all I can say currently.
Management went out of their way to make sure my mother could get to a dental appointment. I live in Devon so it was not possible for me to do it. Thank you!
Relaxed caring atmosphere. Attentive staff. Home has an excellent feeling the moment you arrive, very much like a nice hotel. Privacy, dignity of all residents respected clean friendly caring.
All staff have been so helpful, courteous, polite, professional and very supportive during my mother-in-law's transition from her own home following a short spell in hospital. Her room in the Ivy Bank is bright and homely, with everything she needs within easy reach or easily fetched by the staff. All the staff are attentive and caring to my mother-in-law and to any family visiting. Thank you for providing such homely and reassuring accommodation.
I was most impressed by the care shown by the staff towards most disabled residents. Their smiles were uplifting, nothing seemed too much for them.
With no exaggeration, I cannot fault the welcome, care and understanding of all staff at Ivybank Care Home. A warm welcome was couple with strong professionalism. The manager was keen to stress the important of a 'safe discharge' from hospital for my mother-in-law; which was so important. His sense of humour put us at ease! Great team.
Mum first went into Ivybank House for some respite care in March. From the beginning we have been so impressed with all the staff, they can't do enough to help and keep us all informed with how Mum is doing . She was quite lonely at home, but is really enjoying being a part of the Ivybank community, chatting with the residents and staff and joining in all the activities. We've seen her smiling more since she's been at Ivybank than for a long time and she seems to be genuinely enjoying herself. She celebrated her birthday shortly after she arrived and the staff went out of their way to celebrate. She enjoys the trips out in the minibus and walking in the garden, there have been some wonderful activities and the staff do their best to make sure everyone is involved. When we come to visit we are made so welcome. This is Mums first experience of residential care, but we couldn't have picked a better place. We would highly recommend Ivybank, thanks so much for all your care.
The whole team are fantastic. They have made my mother very welcome. The staff are so very kind to the family of residents as well as the residents themselves. I felt very safe knowing they are looking after my mum. My mother enjoys the food she loves her room and the surroundings are beautiful too.The whole place is very tidy and kept clean. I am very happy that my mum was found such a lovely home. The staff are always on hand if you need any help.
My father in law looks clean and well presented everyday. He is more than happy and content and wishes to stay, saying "I am happy here, its peaceful". I have no concerns about his welfare at all and know that he is well cared for and engaging in activities and conversations, which he hasn't done for so long, prior to his stay at Ivybank.
Mum moved into Ivy Bank from another town after she broke her hip and was no longer able to look after herself in the retirement flat. Four months later she is really happy at Ivy Bank. From the beginning, when my husband and I set out to find a care home, Ivy Bank stood out as having friendly, caring staff and a homely and welcoming feel. Everyone really supported mum during the transition period. She really loves her room, which staff helped us make her own. She says, "It feels really safe here. All the staff are so caring and helpful. It's homely, warm, the meals are delicious and I love joining in the activities. We all have a great laugh." Everyone in the care home made her 90th birthday a really special occasion with a beautiful cake and flowers. She enjoyed having her room decorated and all the fuss. We visit mum every few days and the fabulous staff always have an update for us, as well as a welcoming smile.
Mum is so happy at Ivybank, she transferred from another care home in another part of the country and is so pleased she did so. Mum says 'the staff have a sense of humour and cannot do enough for me'. As a family member, I always find the staff welcoming and approachable even when they are incredibly busy - whether you are a resident or family member, you can see the Ivybank team working hard to make you feel part of the Ivybank community.
Mum was a resident at Ivy Bank for approximately 13 years, and throughout that time we were extremely happy with the care which was provided. From day one mum felt at home, and was relaxed in the lovely surroundings, and enjoying the variety of meals and homemade cakes! Ivy Bank has a lovely, welcoming ethos, and the staff soon felt like part of our extended family. The staff were very caring, and always had a smile and kind words for mum. They would go above and beyond to ensure that everything was just perfect for her. I don't believe that we could have found a better place for mum to spend her final years. Sadly, mum passed away just 4 weeks before her 100th birthday, and the staff were amazingly supportive to us during her final days. Plans had been in place to celebrate her birthday, and Ivy Bank very kindly invited us to attend a celebration tea with them on that date, which was so special and will always be remembered fondly by her family.
Excellent home very professional and friendly and caring. My mother had a great stay here and I was able to fully relax knowing she was safe and happy.
All the staff in the home have been so friendly, open and happy to listen to relatives. Always a smile on their faces. Mum seems a lot better and more settled and the door is always open if anything needs addressing.
My mother was at Ivybank House Care Home, Bath, for nearly a year. From the moment of our first visit, we were made to feel welcome. Mum took a while to settle in but the staff persevered, encouraging her to join in activities and outings. She came to love going out in the minibus and commented about the potholes and new buildings going up. The staff always let me know about events and I would join in cream teas when I could! The communication was brilliant. I always got a call if the doctor had been in and any other issues. Anytime you asked any of the staff about Mum they always knew who she was and how she was doing. In the last few months, Mum's health deteriorated with a couple of hospital visits. They always packed her go-bag with everything she might need and want. Sadly, Mum died at the beginning of the year and the staff were so kind to me and the family. It was truly a home from home and I was always confident of their outstanding care, especially when I was away on holiday.
I would just like to thank the manager, her deputy and all the wonderful staff at Ivybank House for the continued care and support given to my brother and myself. Their sheer dedication is truly admirable. They all make this home a very special place.
The team at Ivybank House Care Home in Bath are incredible. Every time I visit Dad, it's like going to see friends and family. The whole team get on so well and all work incredibly hard. They consistently go the extra mile for the residents. The food is excellent and the activities, socials and parties they organise are fantastic. We could not have found a better place for Dad.
Have been here three months - moved to be near family. First experience of full-time care - impressed with room, staff, care and food. Enjoy the care system and not having to cook my own meals! Room is comfortable and roomy and is kept clean and tidy. Food is varied and tasty. Staff are all lovely, caring and chatty - I enjoy the chat time. My room is on the ground floor and is spacious and has two aspect windows which is great. I enjoy walking out around the garden which is quite flat with chairs and tables - usually shrubs and flowers to enjoy. Plus buds etc. Also, enjoy the many trips out in the minibus - interesting and fun.
