My mum moved in Sept 25, since then she has had the best care from all the team. As a nurse myself I know what excellent care is. As a family we felt care, love & understanding. Compassion at it's best. As mums health deteriorated, we were totally reassured that she was in good hands. We cannot
thank the team enough, registered nurses, carers, domestics and the admin team. They are all angels. Will always recommend this home.

My mother spent the last five and a half weeks of her life in Chatsworth Grange, when her changing needs necessitated a move from residential to nursing care.
My first impressions, on having a very informative tour with Colin (in charge of maintenance), were of a bright, clean, welcoming place.
I
would like to express my sincere thanks to all the staff involved for the exceptional care they gave my mother during this time. In particular Juanita, the first nurse to greet my mother on her arrival at Chatsworth Grange, was also instrumental in successfully managing her symptoms. This enabled her to have a peaceful and pain free end to her long life.
Staff of all designations were always so warm, kind and attentive, not only to my mother but to family visitors, especially in the last few days. The wonderful carers who looked after my mother so closely have eased us into our loss. I am so very grateful.

I visit without appointment about twice a week. My wife is confined to bed and is always warm, comfortable and clean. Often having had a bath and often with her hair washed. She can be 'challenging' but the staff are always very reassuring and give me a huge amount of support. All wonderful and
doing an incredible job in what can be difficult situation. A lovely nursing home.

Mum (Carol no 43 - Dovedale) has spent a year in another care home, she was very unhappy. As a family we moved Mum in this week. Our experience was so different. They were all so welcoming & friendly. Painted mums room, Colin was fantastic. For the first time today I saw Mum happy & sat eating. So
relieved.

I go and se my wife on a very regular basis. I go 5 days per week spending many hours with my wife. I am made very welcome every time I come to see my wife. The care and support given by the care workers and nurses is 1st class in every way. This is all due to the excellent way the management run
this geat nursing home. This nursing home has to be one of the best in this area and beyond.

The care home management offers genuine warmth & care for both residents & their families. The activity staff are with a particular mention for their continuous interaction with residents. Chatsworth Grange is light years ahead of my grandfather's previous home.
02 July 2025
The home is providing a very good level of care and well being. The building is in very good condition, bright and well-decorated. The staff are very, very good. Cleanliness is 10 out of 10. All in all, our opinion of the home is run in a very professional and caring way.

My wife entered Chatsworth Grange Nursing Home in December 2021 when she required specific nursing care. I had no prior experience of the home, but from the outset found a well run, professional team who quickly made not only my wife, but also myself and visitors welcome. My wife is on the EMI Unit,
where she and some other challenging residents are cared for in a most professional manner. In my wife's case, she is 'loved' as well as cared for. All staff from the office and management, cleaners, maintenance staff and entertainment are offered to ensure a happy environment.

My sister has been in the care of Chatsworth Grange for nearly 2 years with young onset dementia. She is cared for with love and dignity. The staff go above and beyond with looking after our loved one. They are very friendly and approachable if we have any concerns. The manager always have time for
us if we need to raise any issues.

Overall Chatsworth is a very good home, management I found to be excellent. Some care staff better than others, rooms a little tired in my opinion but fees are good, so reasonable. I find all staff approachable and helpful. Any problems I have found are dealt with promptly and sorted.

My partner has been in this home for several months now. At first, she was unsettled and now eating. The staff took care of her and she started to eat and settled. I believe she has gained weight. She has taken part in activities which tire her out. She is always clean and well-dressed. The staff
have taken very good care of her hair which always looks neat and tidy.

I am very happy with the care and support Mum receives. The carers are understanding of Mum's needs and make me feel happy with the care they give her. Management and office staff are always happy to help with any issues or questions. The food served to residents always looks amazing. The onsite
handyman is always happy to help and is so lovely with the residents. I feel the activities could maybe be improved.

The care my relative is given is very good. The home is very clean and the staff make sure my relative is kept clean which is not always easy. The staff on the whole are very friendly and caring. I feel that my relative is in a clean and safe environment and is well looked after. The staff do an
amazing job, which is not easy.

I am quite happy knowing my wife is well looked after and cared for.
The staff and management are excellent and are there if you need to talk to them at all times. You could not wish for a better care home and when my time comes I hope I am lucky enough to get a place in here.

My father was badly affected by dementia when he first arrived at Chatsworth Grange. This caused both him and us great anxiety when we handed his care to the Chatsworth team. However, we very quickly found that he was so well looked after and comfortable and a large burden of guilt and foreboding
was very quickly lifted from us. My father enjoyed the last 15 months of his life in their care, and I know both he and we soon started to feel like they were part of his extended family. I cannot thank or praise them enough for what they did, and the rest of the family all feel the same.

Sadly I cannot recommend Chatsworth Grange. The culture is like something I have never experienced before. There are some good, genuine care staff but, unfortunately, my mum’s basic care needs were not always met. Concerns were not dealt with openly and honestly by management, there was no
compassion or person-centred care. The bedding supplied is not adequate, especially in winter. There are no trips out to shops, garden centres or botanical gardens like it says on the website. My mum was a full fee-paying customer, when her funds dropped below the threshold I was asked to pay an unaffordable top up fee. I had no option but to move her to another home.

The only concern I had was male carers doing personal care when states in the care plan that doesn't want males. I discussed this matter with the ward nurse and she said she would deal with it. I thought the fact she dealt with this straight away was good. Good size rooms, privacy when needed. Good
overall care, would benefit from more one-to-one with residents in bed - interaction. Friendly staff, all staff and nurses on Litton are caring and helpful.
