As a family we wanted to let you know what an excellent experience our mum and we had during the two and half years she was resident in Willow Croft care home before passing in February. We can't fault the care and support our mum received from the team at Willow Croft. Having not had experience of carehomes, we weren't sure what to expect, however we quickly realised mum was in the right place and was getting the professional, friendly and loving support that she needed. All the staff that we met were always caring and understanding even when mum could be a little difficult, and there were particular members of the team who went the extra mile and we felt mum had a special place in their hearts. They made her stay there more engaging and comfortable than we had expected. We wanted to let you know how amazing they were, which not only made mums last few years and days as good as they could have been, but also supported us as a family throughout, making it easier to deal with.
In short, Willowcroft is a very good care home, they look after the needs of my mum & dad. They know the way they both tick. All in all I'm very happy that my parents are in Willowcroft.
Dad moved in Jan 25 and he settled straight away. He seems to be very happy there. The staff are excellent and the support they've shown has been great. Keep the good work up all at Willowcroft.
The level of care is outstanding. Couldn't ask for anywhere better. So person centred and understanding of mt needs. We are a big family.
My Aunt moved in to Willowcroft in January and settled in really quickly with the help of lovely carers. She loves her little room which looks out over the garden and is enjoying her food . She now has other people to socialise with which she did not have when living on her own.
Staff are very good and friendly.
I think it is lovely here. Friendly staff who are kind and helpful.
My mother and father-in-law have resided at Willowcroft for several years. They are comfortable and happy here and are always well looked after by the staff, who are very attentive, caring, cheerful and friendly. In fact the staff recently helped my in-laws celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary by providing a buffet and entertainment for family and friends (and of course fellow residents) in the beautiful garden and sun-room. It's comforting to know that they are being treated so well.
My mum and dad are both residents and have been there for more than three years. The staff are very friendly and caring, always taking time to keep us up to date with our parents' wellbeing. Willowcroft seems to be a very happy place for both residents and staff (this is very evident when you walk through the front door.). I would have no problem in recommending this care home to others. Thank you for your continuous efforts and high standards.
Grandparents seem as content here as they could be in a care home. Staff don't seem fake around visitors, and maintain cheer. Place has always seemed clean and happy. Activities include 'how many words can be made from the letters in 'UNFORTUNATE''.
Lovely place, my partner stayed for respite. He loved it, felt safe, staff are lovely and caring, kind to him, wants to go back. Very homely, thank you Willowcroft for looking after him so well.
Willowcroft is one of the best care homes in the area. It's got friendly staff and caring staff. It's situated just five minutes from the city centre. It's looked after many residents over the years and I would always recommend it to anyone who wants their elderly families to be taken care of by their kind and friendly staff.
I regularly visit a friend in Willowcroft and she is happy there. The staff always make me feel welcome and I have enjoyed playing Bingo. The home is clean, there is always a nice tumble dryer smell at the front door. I haven't ticked all the ratings as some elements are not relevant to me.
My in-laws have been residents at Willowcroft for a few years now and I have always felt that they have been very well cared for. The staff are warm and welcoming to residents and visitors and keep the family up to date. Last weekend Willowcroft hosted a party to celebrate my in-law's 70th Wedding Anniversary for 20 family and friends. A couple of members of staff, who were off duty, also came in to celebrate with us. Willowcroft also arranged to have a singer to entertain everyone.
My mom and dad had their 70th wedding anniversary party last Saturday, the home as per usual excelled. They laid on a singer to come up and sing songs from all residents' eras which they all enjoyed then a buffet was laid on. My father has been a resident here for 7 years and my mother for 3 years since they have been here they have been treated to a very high standard and are very happy. The staff are very caring and treat them like their family. I would recommend Willowcroft to anyone thinking of placing a loved one in care.
Everything about the experience was wonderful and caring. Could not ask for anything more. Staff were so thoughtful to residents, family and guests. The entertainment was really good also. Our guests were all really impressed at the care and love that residents are shown.
My mother-in-law spent her last days at Willowcroft. The care they gave her was exceptional. I have visited the home a few times and have always been met with a warm welcome. The manager clearly cares about the residents and ensures there are plenty of activities.
My wife has been a resident at Willowcroft for almost three years, and apart from the first six months due to covid restrictions, I have been able to visit every week. During this time I have never had cause to complain about her care of wellbeing and the staff have always been helpful and sympathetic. I do not have any experience of other care homes but I would have no problem recommending Willowcroft.
The staff are very friendly they all doing a job I do not expect it's very easy at times for the staff. I visit my friend with her husband, she seems very happy, lovely and clean and has a nice room and lovely staff.
My mother moved in earlier this year after having had a stroke and extended hospital stays which left her unsettled and fearful of change. The staff made her feel safe and she settled in quickly. The home facilitated her rehab and visits from social services, helped with confusing paperwork, and medical appointments, helped us host a surprise birthday party and lots of other things that made mum's transition easier. The staff are helpful and approachable and the rooms are clean and well presented. There are a few pets which makes it homely and a nice place to be in the summer with the gardens.
