I just wanted to take the time to say a huge thank you to everyone at the care home for the incredible care they give my dad.
Moving into a care home was a very big step for him, but from day one he has been made to feel so welcome, safe, and genuinely happy. Every single day he tells me how good
the staff are, and it's so comforting as a family member to hear that.
This morning one of the carers gave him a bubble bath, and he honestly could not stop talking about how wonderful it was - it absolutely made his day. Moments like that might seem small, but they mean everything.
The care, kindness, and respect shown to my dad clearly come from strong leadership. I had the pleasure of meeting the manager, Victoria, and she was an absolute delight to chat with - warm, understanding, and clearly very passionate about the residents and her team. It really shows in the atmosphere of the home.
I would like to thank each and every member of staff for what they do. Your compassion, patience, a

My dad's care has been incredible! The staff are so kind and can't do enough for him! The food is of the highest standard and all home cooked. We are so happy that Dad is happy and being cared for so wonderfully. Thank you Seymour House.

There are not enough positive words to express my experience of Seymour House as a care home. My dad was a resident from April '25 until early January '26 and in that time, despite limitations, his health actually improved! I could put that down to the level of care, good quality food (and lots of
it) and the interactions with other residents who he came to know as friends. Seymour House is obviously a care home, but you can see the lengths that the management and care team go to, to ensure each resident gets to feel like it's "their" home.
As dad's health declined, his care was adjusted accordingly, so he didn't have to endure any additional stress. Kindness, respect, dignity and love are words that come to mind when thinking about the care team and how they related to my dad. I will be forever grateful to have found such a wonderful place for Dad to live out his final months and I would 100% recommend Seymour House. Thank you xx

As will be apparent from the table below, I have found all aspects of life and care at Seymour House to be good since I was admitted direct from hospitalisation in May 2022. The past 3 years have been difficult for all staff- short handed and overloaded but employees and volunteers are remarkably
good humoured and helpful "beyond the call of duty" inspite of the vagaries of national and local policy makers.

I can't praise staff enough for their dedication over the 2 years Mum has been at Seymour House so far.
They are all so caring and really know Mum as a person, familiar with her likes and dislikes and make sure she gets what she needs to make her life happy.
She always looks well cared for, very
content and her health needs are met well met.
It is a well run home with a proactive team.
Families are made very welcome at visits even providing meals on request.
I am kept informed about changes or new care needs promptly for Mum. I can join in activities or contribute to meetings about the day to day management of the home.
They go out of their way to provide the best quality life she can have, encouraging her to join in activities and to socialise with residents.
It is a cosy, well maintained and tastefully furnished home with communal areas for residents to mix or sit quietly. The rooms have activities available and there is a wonderful events team too.
5 stars well deserved!

Mu husband could not be in a better home. All the staff are so caring and treat him with respect.
He is well looked after, the food is amazing and always delicious. If I ever get to the point of needing to go into care, this would be my first choice.

Very pleasant with nice carers always happy to help. The rooms are basic but functional. A lot of effort goes into activities but isn't always supported. Generally the food is good, Christmas was lovely at Seymour House the staff made a big effort. I do think that a minority of staff say no when
actually it should be yes but can't be bothered. But overall good.

What has happened to 'Happy Seymour House'. What has changed so much in the past 4/6 months. Staff morale is at an all-time low. Residents' favourites have left, lots of new staff coming and going. It's not the happy, jolly place it was. Residents loved to meet in the hall and see all the coming and
goings now all the chairs have gone. The activities have moved again, segregating residents. There is no one in the dining room which used to be the hub of activity. While the care still is amazing things have changed and certainly not for the better. Put Seymour House back to the happy place it once was please.

I just want to say a big thank you to all the staff who continue to look after my mum to a very high standard. The team are well established and are professional, approachable and takes all queries very seriously. They aim to please at all times and I am so glad that they get where I am coming from.
Basically, my mum is my best friend and you just want the very best outcomes for that person. Cannot fault this place.

Since the first day of my father moving into Seymour House, I have been impressed with the standard of care provided for him. I still have the photos I took of him on arrival, looking scared and confused. He was shown his room and welcomed with a cup of tea and sandwiches, despite it being late.
Now, he is more relaxed and confident, despite his worsening dementia. Staff are more like friends/extended family. He is always happy to return to Seymour House after a day out with family. I can't praise the staff enough!
