View Full Details of Oaktree Hall & LodgeMum has been in Oak Tree for 4 months now and as a family we are more than happy with the warm, friendly atmosphere at Oak Tree and with the caring, genuine staff. They are like an extended family, the staff always have time for us and really do care about the residents. Mum is happy enjoying the company of everyone, her health has improved and she is no longer lonely. Mums room is a good size for her personal belongings and plenty of room if she wants to sit and watch TV on her own. She is fussy with food, can complain in cafes and restaurants but has never complained about food at Oak Tree quite the opposite so full compliments to the chef! We are more than happy with Oak Tree, cannot recommend the staff and facilities enough and will always be grateful for giving us peace of mind knowing mum is safe and happy in the care of genuine people. Thank you all, Lisa and family
My step mum was admitted At Oaktree as an emergency care requirement From the first contact from Mary ( manager) to the day my step mum left the care was amazing . Lovely relaxed atmosphere Friendly carers Clean rooms and accommodation My step mum was very happy there.
Our mam has been in Oaktree's care now for over 2 months and we are delighted by the excellent standard of care, the definite improvement in mam's health and wellbeing and the high levels of socialisation and personal, friendly, attentive contact she and we receive from happy and motivated staff. This care home stands out from the moment you arrive at the stunning building in a beautiful setting. The decor and care inside are equally wonderful. My sister and I and families are delighted. Mam couldn't be in a better place of care. Sending our very grateful thanks and highest compliments to the hard-working, helpful, cheerful, knowledgeable, sincere and excellent caring staff and management of Oaktree Hall who excel in all they do.
Dad was admitted to Oaktree towards the end of 2024, their care was unquestionably very good. The team care for not only the residents but also their families taking the time to 'check in' and 'care'. Dads care needs became 'challenging' in the few months that he was there causing more work for the staff but they coped very well and were always reassuring to us and him. The team quickly became like an extended family to us all we will always be forever grateful for their care and support through his final few months.
My mum went to stay at Oaktree Hall on a respite basis back in January when my dad became ill. They made her so welcome and took very good care of her. Dad then went into Oaktree for end-of-life care so they were together. His care was also very good. Every member of the management/staff team was so compassionate and caring at a very difficult time. Mum is now at Cakthree on a permanent basic and she loves it! Thank you all at Oaktree.
My mother was very reluctant to go into residential care, although it was evident she needed to for quite a while. On the day my mother was admitted to Oaktree, she was treated exceptionally well from the minute we arrived. Within 15 minutes, she was smiling and told me to leave as she was happy. She has partaken in the activities and spoke about them when I visited. Since moving in permanently, she is happy, looks better than she has for a long time, her general health has improved and she is well nourished. All of the staff are friendly and helpful and finally, I can sleep knowing she is safe and looked after.
My mother arrived in Oat Tree for respite in September 2024 after breaking her ankle in a fall and spending a number of weeks in hospital. We had heard some poor reviews about the standard of care, the food and the general wellbeing experienced by previous residents, however, if I was to be totally honest, the majority of these were, here say so we remained open minded. Whilst initially, my mother did experience some issues, in the first few days, with the food not being warm enough, this was always immediately addressed to her satisfaction. This was the only minor issue my mother experienced. Every single other aspect of the care home was exemplary, all of the staff, without exception, are superb and epitomise the meaning of the word 'CARE'. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them, they treated mum with respect, with compassion when needed, they listened and they enabled mum to keep her dignity right up to the moment she passed away. I cannot recommend Oak Tree enough. Thank you
My husband was in Oaktree Lodge for 3 years up to passing away. I cannot praise it enough, the care he was given, it was excellent and he was so happy there. Food was good and the staff tried so hard with entertainment and raffles and relatives were made so welcome. So thank you once again, all the caring staff.
My mother has been a resident at Oaktree Hall for many years. The manager has been very understanding of my mother's needs and the staff are attentive and caring, particularly recently. The manager has listened to my concerns and proactively supports me. I am very grateful for this support and understanding.
This has been the worst decision of my life to put my dad in their care. It has been an ongoing issue with this care home of inadequate care for residents. I just hope the social services intervene and get him moved to a more caring environment.
This is the second time my Husband has had respite care in this home. It is very clean and the staff are welcoming and informative. Again he has put weight on so the food must have been good. He was happy and joking with the staff when I collected him after his stay but within six days he is back to this miserable man who only wants to sit in a chair, not speaking, and says he is waiting for God. What more can I say?
My aunt came here for end-of-life care, she was treated with compassion and dignity by everyone, they treated me the same way when she passed. The staff are so friendly and kind, nothing is too much for them, and they made my aunt's last weeks very comfortable.
First visit to Oaktree to see Step Mum, who moved in recently. A nice and warm place, cosy and homely. Care workers are very friendly, helpful, and informative. Step Mum is more alert and able to communicate, since the move. Good to know that there is a new care plan in place and proper record-keeping.
First visit to my Nan at Oaktree. The staff are very friendly and thorough. Lovely home and décor, very warm and cosy. My Nan seems very happy here so far.
Friendly, open, welcoming, helpful, and communicative staff who care about all of the residents. The home is clean, well decorated, and feels very homely. Comfortable rooms, nice and clean.
I have been on respite care for a week. The staff are very tentative, nothing is too much trouble day or night. It is very clean, domestics do a good job. Washing is taken most nights and bought back the next day. Overall it has been an enjoyable stay. I would recommend it.
It is very early days for me and the first time I have visited for any length of time, but Mum seems in good hands here. The grounds are beautiful and the staff I have met are friendly and treat her well.
Lovely staff, very welcoming and helpful. Place very clean and friendly atmosphere.
