View Full Details of Riverlee Residential and Nursing HomeMy husband was a resident for over 3 years at Riverlee. During this time he was very well cared for and became his home and the staff his friends. The staff always made me welcome and it was always a pleasure to spend time at the home with them and my husband. Everyone at the home was incredibly kind and supportive to me and my husband at the end and made sure we were both cared for. I am very grateful to everyone at Riverlee for their friendship, care and support.
I have found the new management very good and approachable. I thing I have found the most beneficial for my husband is the stopping of moving staff around. I can see how it could benefit staff in a small way but so detrimental to dementia residents.
I come to visit my friend once a week. My lady is in a fantastic home, I find the staff are always keeping her occupied, as she is a hand full at time. I won't wish her to be in a better place than this care home. Thank you to all the staff that work with my friend on a daily basis.
I seen a lot of changes since two years. Rapid changes. I appreciate my mum's care plan been very laid out. Mum's has been looked after, my mum had replaced her chair with a recliner chair, this made her very relaxed. She more at peace, she falls asleep in the recliner chair, and is more happier. Very much okay with staff day and night staff she familiar with all faces now. This took a while.
I have absolutely no problems or concerns regarding my mothers care. The staff are helpful considerate and professional.
My wife has been here just over one year and is settled and probably quite used to her new home. Her care provided by the staff is good, very good from some staff. I think she is comfortable in her surroundings as can be expected. She is well treated and with dignity and her personal care and cleanliness is excellent. The atmosphere in the home is warm and friendly.
The nursing and non-nursing staff demonstrate a sincere care for both the physical and mental well-being of my mother. She is calm and clearly appreciates everyone's hard work.
The care home staff are aware of mums needs and wants, the staff take very good care of mum. The admin staff are very polite and helpful, they know their jobs very well.
The nursing staff, care staff, and everyone on Riverlee care team are warm, friendly, and approachable. Always have the time to talk and listen to any concerns. The staff is always visible. I feel at peace when I leave my Mother after a visit. I can visit her at any time during the day.
My Dad stayed here for 2 weeks for respite. The staff were really nice and friendly to us and Dad. The care appeared to be satisfactory for the time we saw Dad there - they clearly were understaffed at the time and we had to contact the wing head nurse to request better communication on how he was getting on. On arrival, they were more interested in getting the paperwork done (understandably as it was about medication, etc) but would have liked a bit more dialogue about getting to know Dad and what he liked and disliked as he was there for such a short time. The assistants serving food and checking in were lovely and took the time to talk to us about Dad and out our minds at ease. We felt the home was a bit tired in decor and could have been cleaner - dad had an en suite toilet which did smell a bit. Dad took his own tv which was great and meant he could be comfortable in his own room. On return home, we discovered some of his clothes went missing despite labels and were never found. Overall good.
Extremely poor palliative care for my Mum, do not send anyone here that needs palliative care as they have no idea how to care for someone. Left my poor Mum in agony and I had to arrange extra medication for her as she was suffering.
Riverlee are amazing, my aunt is happy and well cared for. When I visit all the team are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and tidy when a variety of activities for residents to engage in.
I'm very satisfied with my dad's care. Great staff, good and very clean. My father likes it too.
Today everything is calm and purposeful - staff are quietly looking after the personal needs of the residents whilst the lounge is fumigated. My mother is clean and comfortable which is as much as I can hope for. All is good. Travelling as I do from Nottingham I visit weekly usually (strikes prevent train travel at times) I have only once (two weeks ago, Feb 10) been disappointed by how I found my mother - she and her bed were a mess) possibly due to staff rotation? My mother is bedbound and doesn't eat meals.
I went to register my uncle with Riverlee Nursing Home and was warmly welcomed and given a cup of tea. The home was clean and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. The staff were very accommodating and showed me around. I must say I was very impressed.
Overall, an excellent facility across all team members. Thank you.
My dad was here. Terrible staff, they all lie to cover their backs, everything going missing, dad fell and all tell lies after he had a bleed on the brain, staff are inapproachable, was forced to give 1 star!
I went with my mum and a family friend to visit Dad today. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the staff and sat down with Dad whilst he ate his lunch. The food looked tasty and appetising, and he ate it all. We are always brought a tray of tea and biscuit, and the staff go above and beyond to make us all welcome. It does not feel like a nursing home at all, more like you are visiting family.
I am so pleased with Riverlee. My husband is always happy, the staff are so good and they show so much care to all residents and their family members, we are always made welcome with tea and it is so nice they call us by our first names. It is always very clean and my husband's bedroom is very nice, tidy and clean.
Staff are friendly, activities are also ok. My mother is settled and I am quite happy for my mum to be here. The place and the environment is clean.
