My Mother was an independent Lady who was always self sufficient and hated being a burden on people.
In June 2025 my mother was Transferred to The Lawns after being in Hospital having had an earlier fall.
The care given to my mother compared to her stay in Hospital was Chalk and Cheese, The Lawns
staff looked after my mother with kindness, consideration, dedication and some times humour when it was appropriate.
The Lawns Manager went to the Hospital to arrange Mums transfer and to settle her into the Lawns, we are extremely grateful to her for helping us in getting to the best place for Mums onward care.
I visited most days to see Mum and met most of the staff who were really friendly and helpful in settling her into the home and becoming her friends certainly helped make her days more enjoyable.
I cannot sing the praises of the Management or Staff loud enough, they provided excellent service and companionship with a friendly and caring attitude.

Mom went in to the Lawns Nursing Home at the end of November 2025, since being there she has put on weight and has made such good progress, I cannot fault the home or the staff at all, it is a wonderful happy place and feel so lucky that mom got a place there. It's the best decision that we could
have made.

We cannot thank the whole team at The Lawns for their care and compassion whilst caring for my dad. Although his stay proved to be short, he was so well looked after and his end of life care was excellent.
Thank you.

Mum moved into the lawns in February from another care home where we had a bad experience. Mel was great in helping us move mum and as soon as we arrived I just knew things would be good and they were. The staff are so caring and get to know each resident so well knowing their likes and dislikes and
ways to support them emotionally. Mum had limited mobility but was still included in everything they did. There are so many activities going on and Kirsty always cheered everyone up. The personal care was always provided as and when it should be. The nurses were always there when we wanted to discuss anything. Everyone was so kind the cleaners the handy man the reception absolutely everyone. At the end of mums journey every one was there and nothing was too much trouble and my mum and our family were supported so well. I am forever grateful to all of you for providing a loving home for my mum and giving us the opportunity to make some great memories in the time she was with you. Thank you.

My mum was at the The Lawns Nursing Home from October 2025 after a long stay in hospital. Straight away she was treated with respect and given back her dignity. She was well cared for, kept clean and tidy. Had her hair done and nails painted, which she enjoyed. She sat at the table for meals with
friends she made and enjoyed the conversation over a glass of wine. The staff were wonderful, nothing to much trouble, made her laugh again. All this made my Mum short stay pleasurable.

We were very happy with The Lawns. The staff are all lovely. They made mum feel welcome and helped her to settle in. The staff ensure that the care each resident receives is personalised to their needs and they are super patient whilst doing this. There was always something going on and it was mum's
choice to join in or not. She enjoyed the food and thought the "house" was beautiful. We were never concerned for her safety or wellbeing which was a huge relief after she'd been struggling- but determined -to stay in her own home. Her room was nice and she enjoyed having assisted showers (something she refused at home!) and she even had her hair done. Personally, I enjoyed chatting with other residents and staff and always felt welcome when I arrived to visit.

grateful to Mel and her team for looking after Phillip and making his life more enjoyable.

From the initial enquiry as to a vacancy for end of life care for mum, giving advice and guidance how to achieve the care, to in fact mum being made to feel comfy and welcome all of this only taking a few days. The staff were attentive to both mums needs and meeting expectations of the family, they
quickly became familiar with her needs that were ever changing. The staff kept family up to date as care changed. Thank you for making mums final days as comfortable as possible.

We were fortunate enough to get our Dad a place at the Lawns for some much needed Respite care, this was all done with little notice for all involved. The Team at the Lawns made it happen and the staff were very warm & welcoming. They had an efficient caring and nursing team whom Dad grew very fond
of, we felt he was well looked after and incredibly safe in their care during this time. As family members, we were fully encouraged to be involved and informed in all decisions and we were also well looked after during dad's stay. There is a very happy content buzz about this nursing home from both residents and staff.

My sister was admitted to The Lawns care home following a number of severe strokes.
The respect, compassion and nursing care was outstanding and meant that we were able to spend valuable time with her during the last few months of her life.
In particular I would like to mention Issy, Becka and
Shelley who were able to communicate with her in a way that we weren't. The way they looked after her, did her hair and sang to her during her showers was a great comfort to me and her two children.
I will always be grateful to Mel and her team for the care provided.

both our parents at such short notice and supporting us through the emotional process of transitioning from home to Nursing home, including the CHC assessment.

The Lawns was always clean, tidy and fresh when entering and throughout the whole building. The garden areas were pleasant to sit and enjoy in the warmer weather. The information boards were very useful to see the upcoming events.
When my husband first went into The Lawns, the staff were very
keen to know as much information about him as possible, to allow them to engage and offer him appropriate activities where possible, and this proved very useful as time went on.
The staff were always very pleasant, cheerful and professional. It was apparent that the care they gave was more than the basic 'meeting the needs'. They always showed respect, dignity and great understanding to my husband, and in the final few days, they helped the whole family understand and come to terms with the situation.
