My dad was a resident at Maryland for the last few months of his life and was cared for attentively and with great empathy during his stay. I always felt completely satisfied and pleased by the standard of care at the home. The staff were wonderful and Suraya, the home's owner, was always available
and extremely understanding with regard to my dad's needs and requirements. I still feel I could not have made a better choice than Maryland as a place for him to spend his final days.

Living in a care home. I am in a care home because my husband died and I had no relatives near.
Old age brings about such circumstances.
The manager was very kind when I arrived but I missed my own home although the care home is much like the house I lived in when I was growing up and it was very
easy to settle in and be 'at home' but I decided I'd like to move near to my family with a little place of my own again. The manager here said I could and allowed me to communicate with family and providers like estate agents.
I noticed that the managers seem to make a family out of us here with very relaxed rules like we can choose early or late bedtimes and 3 meals a day are provided with 3 drink trolleys a day too!
It is a good place for short-stay recovery or latter-day residents in need of special care.
