View Full Details of Peacehaven HouseAll at Peacehaven are very friendly, welcoming and professional. Always have time to talk, should there be any problem it is dealt with and I am informed immediately. The home is always clean with no unpleasant odours. I have every confidence with the team and cannot speak highly enough of them.
The good thing about visiting Peacehaven is the staff. Visits to an aging person can be difficult when the lack of communication from the person you are visiting make it hard and just being able to talk to the friendly staff who are always willing to talk and are always in good humour make the visits much easier. It means a lot to have such friendly staff and know my father is in good hands.
My husband came to Peacehaven two years ago as I could no longer look after him at home. From the start we have both been treated with kindness, respect, warmth and understanding. Peacehaven is such a special place and a real home from home. Everything about it is good, lovely rooms, very clean with lots of daily activities. The care he receives is excellent. At times his condition has deteriorated but staff have talked and listened to me and have helped to find what is right for him and he isnt always easy. I can not thank everyone enough, from management to the cleaners; it is a very happy, special place.
My dad has never wanted to try a hot chocolate in all his 95 years, but a member of the care team took him out in a wheelchair on a lovely day to a nearby cafe. The photo taken of him tucking into a whipped cream-topped hot chocolate and really enjoying it will be a special memory as he became housebound shortly after with Alzheimer's and no mobility. This care home do this kind of one-to-one kindness every day. My dad couldn't be more loved and cared for by all the staff.
My mother has been at Peacehaven for approximately 1 year. The staff are very friendly and provide excellent care. Whilst my mother does not have much of an appetite these days she does love Peacehaven's puddings. She has a lovely room overlooking the extensive gardens. The staff are very caring and all of the family agree that she could not be in a better place.
Peacehaven is simply a wonderful place. My mum has been a resident now for 2 years. The staff are brilliant and so kind and thoughtful, both in providing the care she needs and with the activities to keep everyone entertained. It really has a community feel and I am so pleased we were recommended to visit when choosing somewhere for mum.
Feels like Peacehaven income is spent in the right places. Great, friendly, caring staff, specific needs of the residents funded, resource to support time away / outside of the home enabled. The team have no concerns about family coming into the home whenever, always appearing caring and friendly. Easy to get to talk to senior staff when required. Any issues I have raised have been taken seriously and acted upon. Documentation of my Mum's health history has been good and allows for a good discussion if required. Have given consideration to what could be done better, but can't really think of much.. perhaps spend money updating the building decor, as I think it could be a little stylish whilst still being practical, but I would not put this forward at the cost of staffing levels. I also know my Mum really enjoys days out, and so as many of these as possible would be great.
We have entrusted our dearly loved aunt to be cared for by Peacehaven for 12 months now. We are continually delighted & hugely relieved at her care. All the staff are genuinely caring, kind, friendly & efficient. Nothing is too much trouble. We have got to know them & feel they are now part of our & our aunt's family. She is clean, sweetsmelling, tidy, hair dressed & well fed. Her spiritual needs are cared for & her religious beliefs accommodated - this is the most important thing in my aunt's life. She is now unable to operate her devices to zoom into her religious meetings so the staff now set her up so she doesn't miss out. The home is well staffed, clean, smells good & is a happy place to walk into - full of chatter, laughter with staff & residents. There are daily activities - morning, afternoon & evening. Staff are attuned to any illness & deal with it appropriately. It is a relief when hospital discharge her back to Peacehaven. Her care plan is adjusted to her increasing needs.
