View Full Details of Scorton Care VillageMum was in Scorton Care Village for 2 weeks respite. Mum thoroughly enjoyed her time in Scorton. The staff were very understanding and caring. The daily entertainment was brilliant. They encouraged mum to join in with several activity, some she'd not done for years! All round brilliant experience and would definitely recommend to others. If mum needs to go somewhere full time we would be more than happy for her to to Scorton.
I feel so fortunate that my father is a resident at Scorton Care Village. All of the staff are so helpful and caring. Nothing is too much trouble. An amazing group of people doing an incredibly tough job. Thank you so much.
My mother has been a resident for 6 months and has settled in well. The staff are friendly and helpful and will always keep us informed.
We can't thank enough the team here at Abbey View Care Home. Their care of our father is exceptional. Our father is very frail and has dementia. Since he arrived, the team have sorted his medication, healed a bed sore (this was from the previous home with a different provider) ensured he is comfortable, well kept, well bed, safe and secure. He feels loved. Thank you. Amazing home and an amazing team.
Couldn't be happier with the care my Nana is receiving at Scorton Care Village. They go above and beyond to meet all her needs, especially her dietary requirements. My Nana feels safe and well cared for and has some great relationships with staff. She enjoys the activities and especially when they blow dry her hair, ready for when I take her out.
My mother moved into Elizabeth House at the end of 2024. We were all worried as she has dementia and we did not know how the move would affect her. There was no need. The manager, staff, and activities are all brilliant. The home is very clean and the food is lovely. We have had lunch with Mum a few times. Nothing is a bother. Thank you to everyone in Elizabeth House.
Care is excellent, staff are friendly, patient and very caring. Activities is brilliant. The house is always clean, tidy and without smells. I could recommend Elizabeth House to anyone.
I couldn't be more grateful for the care my dad receives at Scorton. He looks so well cared for, always smart, tidy and content. It's clear the team takes real pride in making sure he is comfortable and treated with dignity. The staff are friendly and attentive, always ready with a warm smile and willing to help in any way they can. The management is also approachable and always available to talk and answer any questions.
Excellent care all round.
I regularly visit my dear friend who lives at this care home (Scorton Care Village), and every single time I leave feeling reassured and grateful. She always looks so happy, comfortable, and well looked after. It 's clear she's in a place where she's not only cared for physically, but where she feels emotionally supported and respected too. The staff and management deserve special mention, they are consistently warm, attentive and genuinely kind.
My father stayed for two weeks in February for respite. Very happy with the care received from Scorton. The activities manager was excellent, managed to get my dad to partake in activities and interact with the other residents. My father also remarked on the quality of the food.
Mum seems very comfortable and settled in Elizabeth House. She appears to enjoy her meals and is always clean and nicely dressed. She joins in with activities regularly and we occasionally see photos of her doing so. The carers at the present time are extremely kind and attentive and all appear to be happy in their work. This is very reassuring for our family. Staff are also very approachable if we have questions. The management team are also approachable and keen to address any queries thoroughly. Overall, we are happy as a family with Mum's care.
My father was admitted to Scorton Care Village in December 2024 and by his own admission it now feels like home. The staff treat him with dignity and respect and it is wonderful that he now feels safe. His room is bright and airy and he is surrounded by his personal belongings. Friends and family that visit all feel that it is one of the nicest and most welcoming care facilities they have been in. We are extremely grateful for how all the staff treat him and us. We are all made to feel very welcome and they have made what is obviously a difficult situation feel totally bearable. We are indebted to all of them and cannot thank them enough.
Satisfied with my husbands care. It would be good if a little more activities. I do realise its difficult to engage for long periods though. Maybe stop him shredding his trainers.
Taken overall our friend has been well cared for in the time she has been here.
Staff are welcoming and helpful. They care for the residents' needs, always happy to help to take to the bathroom. They care, always letting you aware of residents' needs ie, toiletries Clothes etc. They keep the residents active by doing creative activities. However would like more photos of residents, Seeing them engaged + happy. The Care home is clean and staff are very attentive to any spillages, needs of residents needing. Changing. I feel happy knowing residents are cared for
The only negative point I can make is the fact my dad does not get taken outside enough which makes him feel cooped up (his words) and I feel this is not helping his dementia.
My uncle recently moved into Elizabeth House from another care home in the area. The contrast between the two homes is astounding. The other home was basic in every way from cheap bedding to smells, a bit of neglect, and just no care at all. Food was left beside is bed and he was expected to feed himself. He did not eat much and sometimes I would visit two hours after a meal and it would be untouched. At Scorton the care given was outstanding and very genuine. Today a very patient gentle and kind person fed him. I do not feel that I have to worry about him anymore.
My dad moved to Scorton Care Home 3 years ago he has now sadly passed away. The care he received while he was there was outstanding, all the staff did a wonderful job, and my dad always looked very clean and tidy. The home was always very clean bright and very welcoming. He enjoyed his food, he was in the nursing ward. I always found the staff very pleasant and helpful.
Scorton Care Village is amzing. The staff are so friendly and helpful. My father is very well looked after. I have total faith in everyone at Scorton Care Village. We are encouraged to bring our pets to see my dad and of course, the other residents on the unit enjoy this too. Our 8-month-old granddaughter is very popular on the unit, she's gained a whole new family from Scorton Care Village. Thank you so much everyone for all that you do for my family, especially my father, who I knew can be very difficult.
