View Full Details of The Chase Care CentreMy mother is well cared for by all the patient, kind and caring staff that work in the home. Mum is always looking her best and loves taking part in the day trips organised by the staff. Thank you all for caring for mum.
I was delighted with the care my husband received during his last days. The staff were attentive and caring and very supportive to me at this difficult time.
I never wanted to go into a care home but my experience has very good. The nurses and carers are very helpful. The activities within the home are excellent.
I am living at The Chase for 2 years, and I'm very happy with everything (care, service, food) I feel safe and I have my freedom. All the staff are helpful and nice to me.
My mother was admitted here on Friday night but unfortunately died in the early hours of Sunday. The staff have been wonderful - when I first arrived they each introduced themselves to me. Very empathetic - in short supply in other facilities. I wish mum has been transferred here sooner. Well done.
I have been visiting the care home for well over 2 years. The weeks when there was an outbreak of the sickness etc., the home came up to expectations. There was no panic, everywhere was calm and duties were carried out professionally. I knew that when I could not visit during this period, my husband was being very well looked after. Well done to you all.
My wife was admitted to the Chase Care Home with vascular dementia and from the beginning, her fears and apprehensions were allayed by the carers. Within a month, her emotional nature has gone from dismay to happy acceptance of her situation, that the Chase will be her home for the foreseeable future. I cannot speak too highly of the carers who all show great patience and understanding when dealing with her irrational, confused and fearful mind. My wife has the daily option of enjoying a wide range of daily activities to sitting quietly in the garden enjoying the sun. No pressure is placed upon her to conform in any way. I am enormously reassured that my wife now has the personal care and understanding that I regret I am unable to provide and look forward to the Chase continuing its valuable work.
Our cousin was only at The Chase for about 8 weeks. During this time his health was in decline. He was cared for excellently and treated with respect throughout. The staff at The Chase were always welcoming and we could see by their actions/conversations that they wanted the best for him. Thank you for looking after him in such a caring, safe and warm environment.
The care, compassion and help Mum has received from every member of staff at The Chase has been exceptional. She has been very well looked after at all times, with dignity and tenderness. The Chase is spotlessly clean and very well maintained; although Mum did not get to see it herself, it was lovely to see others enjoy the outside space and entertainment. Proximity to and care from the GP has also been exceptional. Please look past some of the shabbiness in fittings, it is people who count... and those people working here are amazing.
My cousin has always been well looked after at The Chase. The staff are lovely and very friendly to him. He has been happy here for more than ten years.
My mum spent her last 4-and-a-half months here in The Chase and it was definitely the right choice for her. From our initial visit it was clear all the staff work very hard to make the residents happy and settled. Communication between the staff and family members was very good and we felt always that care and compassion for residents is at the care of this home. We have no hesitation in recommending The Chase and have been very grateful for all their hard work.
In March 2024 my dad was taken to the Chase from hospital. His care has been excellent. Staff in the GlennMiller unit are amazing. Dad settled very well so we decided to keep him there as a permanent resident. Our family was made to feel very welcome any time. Sadly my dad passed away recently, he was treated with dignity and respect. We couldn't have wished for a better place.
Such a wonderful care home with incredible staff who gave my gran great care for a short time. Everyone so caring and friendly when she sadly passed away.
A warm welcome with a true understanding from the minute you arrive at reception. The staff at reception were very friendly and professional. The management, staff and nurses, the entire team on the Mayger Ward, were wonderful from the outset. There appeared to be a good understanding between them and they worked well as a team, whilst having to do multiple jobs around the ward to ensure that it ran properly. My father had very few needs in his short stay but they were met to the highest standard. From the nurses and doctors who did the medicines and told me of Dad's passing, to the nurses who changed, bathed and washed Dad, to the cleaners, to maintenance, and everyone on the Mayger Unit, I thank you!
My experience with the care home is one of admiration. They provided excellent care for my father, particularly in his final weeks, ensuring his comfort and support for my family. They treated my father with dignity and consistently demonstrated kindness and compassion. Every single staff member displayed empathy, which was deeply appreciated. His room was always clean and tidy with enough space for his bed, television and personal belongings. The lounge offered a welcoming environment for residents to socialise and watch TV together. We are deeply grateful for everything the care home did for my father and are thankful that he received such attentive care in the last year of his life.
Hi, it was brought to my attention yesterday that I voted for my nurse to be employee of the month, I forgot the wonderful carers and the job they do, in fact all the carers in the home, I can talk to them, anything that is needed I'm attended to so a massive thank you, you mean the world to me, wouldn't have got through without you, love you all.
Excellent service. Very caring. 1.1. Staff always smiling, good genuine care. Here patient interests are right at the front.
A pleasant environment enjoyed by visitors, the staff endeavour to do their best for an aging population. They meet the challenges daily in sometimes difficult circumstances. Problems come and go - well done.
My Uncle was suffering from cancer of the bladder and was in palliative care when he was released from hospital and brought to The Chase. He stayed at The Chase for only 3 weeks and passed away on New Year's Day 2025. My family and I were impressed with all the care and dedication shown and their professionalism. We were allowed to visit almost at any time we wished, there was car parking facilities, and the GP service was just opposite the nursing home, as was the hospital. A doctor was visiting the home every Monday. The food was very good and because my Uncle had problems swallowing his food, it was blended for him. The room had its own toilet and was large. All in all excellent place and service.
Having been in two other homes previously, The Chase is the only place that my mother has felt comfortable, happy and like a home. The level of care my mother has received has had a marked improvement on her quality of life. I have recommended the home to someone I know whose father has Parkinson's and dementia. Since being here I feel I don't need to worry about my mother's day-to-day care.
