From the time my wife arrived her mood and body language changed. She relaxed and became positive. This was because she was made to feel welcome. The staff have been professional, conscientious and caring. They get things done promptly, this has enabled my wife to settle quickly, and also there are many activities and areas to relaxed. My wife is lively and commutative, so her days are full of interest in order to please her, no stone is unturned. I am extremely grateful and relieved that my wife is so content.
Overall very happy with the care our mother received. Couple small issues but soon rectified. Home was warm, clean and smelt pleasant not like some others I've been in. The care our mother received towards the end was excellent and the food trays we received. Those last 2 days was a surprise and a lovely touch.
The chief had rang in the morning sick. The residents had pizzas and chips for lunch. There was general chaos as staff numbers were low. There weren't enough chips for Mam, and her pizza was cold by the time the staff were able to serve her in her room. I felt for the staff who, without a manager or deputy, had to resolve the situation. They did well and were cheerful about this. However totally unacceptable for staff & residents.
The manager Andrew is very welcoming the staff are lovely they go above and beyond to help The activities they do with the residents are amazing they love the singers coming in The home is immaculate rooms are decorated beautifully meals are good I would recommend Stanley park as I am happy that my mother in law is happy in home gives me peace of mind xx
I am the son of a resident that is in Stanley Park. Mams transfer was done quickly. Staff are always polite and friendly. The home is amazing. Always have some entertainment on every week. We have no problems. I would highly recommend Stanley Park to anybody. My mam loves the home.
Staff are amazing there go above and beyond. The help and support is out standing. Very clean and tidy. Always things on for residents to do and join in and enjoy always having a dance. Residents are well looked after and fed
My mother was in this care home for over 8 years and I cannot think of a better place for her to have been looked after. All the staff both past and present showed true professionalism irrespective of their tasks. I always found the carehome to be very welcoming on all of my visits.
The home has had a recent refurbishment, excellent care I couldn't be happier and would highly recommend to anyone. Any concerns dealt with immediately as the management team are very approachable. The staff are compassionate and dedicated providing the best possible care for residents, from walk in you feel the warm and welcoming atmosphere that has been created, facilities clean and well maintained and designed with residents comfort in mind
Very friendly, helpful staff, rooms are well decorated and clean, the meals are very good and tasty. Me and my partner were able to have Christmas lunch with my mum and it was very nice and really enjoyed. The whole home has just been redecorated from top to bottom including carpets. I would highly recommend Stanley Park to anyone.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice comfortable room and tasty meals. Dad's been here around a month and has been made to feel welcome since day 1. Always plenty of activities and is kept informed of things going on.
Stanley Park is the perfect home from home for my grandad. Staff are so caring & friendly and go out of their way to assist him. The grounds and gardens are well kept & the food at the home is fabulous, we always get offered a cup of tea & a bite to eat. I can't recommend the home enough.
Easter: entertainment, raffles, eggs for residents. Plenty of Easter enjoyment in home for both families and residents. Staff welcoming, professional and caring, no situation is a problem. Home is always clean and fresh.
The only TV lounge with noisy disruptive residents, shouting, squealing and banking. His bedroom is bare because ornaments and possessions go missing or get trashed. His new TC set after seven months and the screen is cracked. His bedding isn't changed regularly/for six weeks and even when soiled, he is prescribed two Tena pants by his GP but he is not given them by carers. On three occasions when visiting, he was still in his pyjamas at 2 pm, afternoon. So have to wash and dress him myself. I am 85 years (no towels in room). I have seen other residents wearing his clothes, and I can't afford to provide other people with clothes/need locks on wardrobes.
The staff are amazing and do everything they can to look after my nanna. We know it’s a very busy home but nothing is too much trouble. My family have never had a problem with my nanna being well cared for and she looks so much better than when she was at home alone. The home is spotless and Nanna says she really enjoys her meals and has even put weight on.
The staff are very approachable. Residents are treated with dignity and respect. Relative opinions are listened to - suggestions in the main are implemented, but reminders are needed on a regular basis of routine/personal hygiene requirements! Feel confident that staff are caring. It would be nice if residents received support and encouragement to be involved in routine "household" tasks, dusting and making a snack or drink. Staff are excellent at communicating any concerns and allaying our anxieties in the event of any falls etc. 100% confidence in them keeping residents safe.
The appearance from entering the car park to reception is bright, always clean, tidy and welcoming. This carries on throughout all the corridors, TV room, day room and internal gardens of the home - all very spacious. Staff are always friendly, helpful and reassuring. A feeling of contentment that my partner is being cared for and makes him happier within his circumstances.
My mother has settled at Stanely Park since leaving the hospital; we (her family) are very pleased with the care she is receiving - lots of care and compassion.
We have only been coming a few days to visit, but we find the complex as a whole amazing. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Our mam seems happy and settled.
My review concerns the first floor only. I have often found my sister in a very dishevelled state, hair unbrushed, after lunch covered in crumbs, food around her mouth, hands dirty - she has difficulty feeding herself, hence the mess. She has no stimulation, and little intervention, which concerns me, but I have great respect for the carers on that floor; they are greatly overworked.
The staff are so courteous, friendly, helpful and kind. Nothing has been too much trouble for them. They go the extra mile and always insist that my mam can ask for anything, and they will always try to oblige. Her room and toilet are always spotlessly clean. Her clothes are beautifully washed and ironed. The gardens are a delight; so much effort has been put into making them beautiful. My mam has also had very good medical care when it has been necessary for her to see a nurse.
