Dad has been in home for 4 months his transition from living dependantly has been difficult for him. Day staff have been excellent he has struggled with night staff due to his poor eyesight and deafness night staff have been agency with strong accents difficult to understand. Day staff are mostly
perm giving dad consistancy as they understand his difficulties. Management and administrator have been very supportive. Entertainment team very engaging and have frequent conversations with dad. On occassions not enough staff for personal care, or meal times if toileting is needed due to needing 2 carers.

On our visit to view Garden Hill we instantly had a good feeling about the home itself and the staff. Since my mums admission we have experienced care, empathy, friendliness, from both staff + management. My mum has now been a resident for 2+ months and is very happy + feels comfortable in her
surroundings. Mum was had a couple of little non serious falls, communication to me was very prompt which is very reassuring. Overall we are very happy with all aspects of the home - in particular the brilliant activities managed by a wonderful activitiy co-ordinator.

Very caring. All staff help each other when shortage due to ill health or holidays. Relaxed and happy atmosphere.

My brother has been here for 2 weeks so far. I cannot praise the staff enough. Their care has been spot on. My brother (not known for praise) has actually commented on how great the staff have been with him and how lovely the meals are. High praise indeed.

Needs a room for visitors also and a relatives area where we can make tea/coffee (otherwise very good). Thank you.
My resident has not had a working TV in room since arriving (6 months), apparently aerial not fixed for top floor residents.
Handyman supposedly fixing - but has not. Can this be
rectified please, as TV is company.

My mum came to Garden Hill Care Home from hospital. The staff are fantastic, they take her out, have family events that we can join in and make memories. The home is lovely and she enjoys her meals. The manager is very helpful and no job is to big or small for her.

My father was in the care of Garden Hill for 2 weeks until he sadly passed away. In that time, he was treated with respect and caring, from staff that quickly became our friends. They are all lovely people, who really care about their residents. My dad required nursing care, which I cannot fault. At
the end, we were informed with enough time to be with him. They were very kind to us as a family. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Garden Hill to anyone with such needs as ours. Thank you so much.

Our Mam has been a resident at Garden Hill since July 2019.
Visiting Mam on a regular basis is a lovely, enjoyable experience. It's such a comfortable, warm environment. I'm always made welcome by all the staff, who work hard and beyond the call of duty to make the residents feel, safe, secure, and
loved. Me and my brothers can't thank you all enough.

My mother in law is in Garden Hill and is having very good care. The staff are very caring and supportive, the manager is very helpful. They really care for their residents.

Mam always seems happy and content, we enjoy as a family the atmosphere when we visit, we respect It's not an easy job delivering a high level of care to people's loved ones but on a whole we think they do a great job. Well done!

Our mother in law has really enjoyed her week in this home. She came in quite withdrawn and quiet, over the week she has blossomed, taken part in activities. Can't praise the staff enough nothing a both, very friendly and caring. Always checking on her welfare making sure she had everything she
needed. She has really enjoyed her meals and has said she would def come back.

Both my mam and dad have experience in this home. My mam died there in September 2024. The most awful experience in our lives was respectfully, sensitively and professionally dealt with by the staff. The staff are the home's best asset. No problem is insurmountable and my dad wanted to be in this
particular care home now that he has stage 4 cancer. We as a family, cannot praise the home enough. Dad's every need is catered for and he is so happy and settled there. Yes, there are better homes building-wise in the area, but the most important thing, the care is the home's best asset and that cannot be respected enough.

Although my mother was only in Garden Hill for 4 months I would not have wanted her to have been cared for anywhere else. My mother passed away in March and the care, dignity and respect offered to her was second to none.
I watched in horror sometimes how the staff were treated by residents' family
and I often wondered how they tolerated it without losing their temper. Garden Hill should be very proud of what they have in their staff from the very top to the bottom.

My mam went into Garden Hill on 5th March, it was Mam and Dad's 70th wedding anniversary next day and staff did a beautiful job of helping to make it lovely and memorable for us as a family. My mam was finding it so hard to adjust to being without Dad though and staff have been excellent in helping
her settle in, management have been so pleasant and helpful getting everything sorted out as we haven't a clue about it all and the home itself exceeded our expectations. It is indeed lovely. I haven't seen the food but I know Mam is happy: good not excellent.

The staff are fantastic - very attentive to my dad's needs/support. The food, however, isn't the best, my dad states (I myself haven't seen). I find the entry and exit of the care home a nightmare, this is not a fault of the staff as they have residents to attend to. There needs to be either a
fob/code given to relatives to get in/out of the home 1. to not take the staff away from their duties and 2. to stop the waiting around in the doorway, sometimes up to 15 minutes.

I couldn't have wished for a better care home for my mam in the final months of her life. All the staff were absolutely brilliant in the way they looked after and cared for my mam and how hospitable and friendly they were to me and my family in my mam's final days.

Very helpful staff. The building is well-kept and easy to navigate. The residents are kept well-fed and in a warm environment.

Very happy with Garden Hill Care Home; since moving in in June 2022, has settled in very well. The staff really do a great job in looking after my wife's personal and care needs. They are also very friendly with my wife, me and the other residents.

The management and staff at Garden Hill are absolutely fantastic and the home is spotlessly clean and has a great atmosphere. Every aspect of the place is designed to ensure the residents are well catered for and treated with dignity.

The staff are excellent. Wonderful care at all times. There are activities to keep active both mentally and physically. Meals are excellent but could be served hotter. Would recommend it to other people. Respect and dignity at all times.
