View Full Details of Maidstone Care CentreMy elderly cousin moved into this home from another around 8 months ago. She was in the previous home for a few years but we needed to move her closer. Initially, I was worried about the move, but the staff and nurses have been brilliant. Although, sometimes short staffed, the staff always make the time to bring her into the lounge and involve her in any activities and although she can't walk and is either sitting or lying in her bed, she is always washed and dressed, has no bed sores and her room plus the home is kept very clean. All the staff are friendly and have been amazing.
I would like to say that as a family we are so pleased with the exceptional care our brother is receiving. His health has improved beyond recognition and he seems to be quite happy now he is getting to know the daily routine. Please pass on our gratitude to all concerned with his day-to-day care.
This place early has been a bad experience for the last 18 months. Glad the manager has left, had about 4 managers in this little time. Some staff need to learn to communicate with the residents and sadly there is a constant change of staff, which unsettles the residents. Not enough staff and my parent is often put in her room, as staff have said there is no one to keep an eye on her!! Staff have been encouraged to put reviews on this page to boost review score, as told to us by staff . Too much is swept under the carpet, falls that apparently no staff ever see. Mum has lost so much weight and been held back by manager to get help for her. Relatives have noticed how bad it has become. CQC reports been bad and got worse over time. This place never seems to get its act together or employ enough staff to deal with the kind of care needs these poor relatives need. Residents often ignored by staff when they are trying to talk to them . No emotional support whatever.
Mum has really settled in. She enjoys joining in with activities.
My father-in-law is happy here. All the staff are very good and support him in all aspects. They are a friendly staff and always welcoming to us visitors. We are always informed of any issues or concerns they may have.
My Nan only in moved in 3 weeks ago, in that time my Nan seems to have settled in really nicely. From what I have seen my Nan is really well looked after, she is washed and dressed whenever I visit, her meals always look appealing. Her room is kept clean as is the rest of the home. Whenever I visit which can be anytime with my mum or on my own I'm always made to feel welcome.
Mum came here from hospital and was very poorly having not eaten for many weeks. The staff have, with care and patience, managed to help mum recover. She is eating better, is more alert and has regained her sense of humour. The carers are friendly and caring and treat mum with respect and dignity. There are odd times when it appears there are not enough staff around but on the whole, things seem to go well. As long as mum is happy in her environment than we are.
My mum moved to this home to be near family, I came to see the home 3 times before the decision was made for mom to come to this home, it just felt right homely, clean, friendly, staffed. Mum has settled in well and loved her room and the staff even giving time for a hold of her hand or a hug so much passion and caring for what they do. The manager has been in position for a year and is pulling all of her experience to good use. The staff are part of her family and ours and nothing is too much. The activities team are doing wonders and the residents love going out and about. Have no regrets mum being there. All the staff are amazing.
Very satisfied with the care and staff including management.
My wife has been resident here for some 6 months. The standard of care she has received has been truly excellent. The staff are very kind + helpful. I cannot think of any way the care she receives could be improved. I am really thankful and impressed.
My mum, who is 96 and has dementia, was admitted here from hospital after contracting pneumonia whilst at her previous care home. She remained in hospital for three weeks and her previous care home said that she could not return as they could no longer care for her needs. My sister and I were really worried about her going into a new care home but our worries were allayed almost immediately. The staff are really friendly and nothing seems too much trouble. You can see that they really care for their residents. They have been getting her out of bed (which didn't happen at the hospital), and sitting in her chair colouring in her books. I went in this morning and they had taken her for a shower which really pleased her. Mum is at the home for a 6 week assessment apparently but we are hoping she will be able to stay here as the staff are absolutely lovely, professional and committed to caring for our mum. It's hard to comment on other areas as mum has only been here for 2 weeks.
Whenever I turn up before midday my mum is still in bed, wet through and very distressed. Her clothes regularly go missing. There is a waft of urine as you walk down the corridor. You can always hear residents crying out for help. It's usually one of the visitors that goes to see them rather than the staff. The place has far too few staff members supporting the residents which results in the poor care.
Mum has received the best care here. She has found it hard to adapt and has not been easy for the staff. They have been so supportive of us as a family and my mum. I hope Mum settles down and can be happy here as the staff and care she has received couldn't be better.
Nan has settled into the home well. The manager is making good noticeable changes to the home. All staff are friendly and helpful. Nan seems to be enjoying her time in the home. Thank you to everyone.
Mum has been well looked after. She is so much better than when in hospital. Staff are excellent with Mum. The manager has been doing wonders at the home.
Very good. I've had nothing that would cause me any concerns.
My husband has settled in and is treated with care and consideration even though he is a very challenging resident. The staff are amazing!
On my visit to my long-term loyal friend, I was greeted by staff who were very friendly and caring to the resident and myself. I felt feeling that my friend was very well looked after and the staff actually care about the patients' wellbeing.
Our friend, has been in this home for a while now. Whenever we visit he appears to be very well cared for and safe. We are glad he is here.
Overall pleased with Mum's care. Carers all very pleasant. Mums meals are not ideal but that is mainly due to her ability to chew and swallow only soft food. She has soup most evenings but there is very limited choice of soup. I have rated food and drink poor because of Mum's experience.
