The service is absolutely amazing. The staff is warm and friendly. They make you feel at home from day one. You receive a call welcoming you and the your family, asking you personal preferences and about the service. You also receive an email with information about the ward and how to communicate
with suggestion and complaints. They offer a meeting to show you around even the kitchen and laundry and the gardens on the floors.
They ask you to bring personal belongings to my aunt's room to make her feel at home, and the lady in finance always assure that we will take n good care of your family and also give information for payments.
They also take out residents and have activities and competitions that include family members. This is a good nursing home and I am happy that we brought our aunt here.

My mother has been at Priscilla Wakefield House since November 2024 and the care she has received throughout has been of a very high standard. The staff are attentive to her needs and always keep me informed of any issues or concerns that arise. Any requests I make are actioned in a timely manner
and always with a friendly 'can do' approach. The staff to resident ratio could be slightly better but I can see how stretched and pressurised it can be at times. Overall I continue to be reassured that my mother is being cared for with the best intentions which helps to put my mind at ease.

My mother was really well cared for at this home. The staff built a great relationship with her over time, she felt understood and respected. We had good communication at all times, and any feedback was always actioned promptly. The staff to patient ratio could be better a bit, as I could see how
stretched the carers were. Otherwise, this home is a great place for a loved one.

My Sister was know to be terminally ill when taken in by Priscilla Wakefield and made to feel welcomed from the start. Largely unable to fend for herself, she was treated with care and compassion by friendly and attentive staff, supervisors and management during the remaining few months of her life.
She was fed regularly, kept fresh and clean and her room was always spotless and fragrant. They were also helpful to me during my many visits
I could not have asked for more for my Sister in the final days of her 96th year.

My brother was extremely happy during his stay there from December 2022 to November 2024. He had built up an excellent relationship with all staff members, and in return they treated him with utmost respect. When it was necessary for him to have outside medical attention, management assisted in his
transport to and back from a listed medical centre. He enjoyed the occasional trip in his wheelchair to shops close by.

My uncle was reluctant to leave his life long home but settled within a very short time and was pleased to be living in Priscilla Wakefield House.
He told me that the staff 'can't do enough for me' which made him feel wanted and important.
They attended to his needs both medically and
emotionally
The staff were also very supportive and communicative towards relatives; I was regularly updated
My uncle very much enjoyed the activities, both within the home and the trips out.
On several occasions Social Services attempted to relocate him but he insisted that was where he wanted to be and end his days.
My uncle lived there for just over a year before passing away which he did with a smile on his face.
I can recommend Priscilla Wakefield House and thank their staff. Theirs is a difficult role which was undertaken with 'care' and a kind heart.

The resident was taken to hospital when unwell. While in A & E a member of Priscilla Wakefield Housestaff, who simply heard him making a noise, rushed up to him (she was in the hospital with another resident) and was so friendly towards him. We realise how much he is cared for, which is reassuring.

Priscilla Wakefield House is an amazing home and space for people like my 59 Year old brother.
He never fell into the elderly home category or the young, he was middle aged, when we were searching for a home. There were not many homes around at that time that had the facilities, modern
atmosphere, mixture of residents, multicultural mix, lively feeling and the new feeling that PWH had.
It was perfect for him, he moved in ten years ago and to date, the staff have been all amazing, very caring, supportive, empathetic, encouraging, kind and informative from the top of the Management team down to the house help.
I have never had any complaints and they have helped my brother accept that this is his home now.
Thank you so much for your ongoing support and keep up the good work.
