Nothing but positive experiences every time we visit mum. The staff are all excellent, well trained, welcoming and friendly. I was dreading my mum having to go into residential care, but Norton House has made the whole process easier and provided great piece of mind. Thoroughly recommend.
Genuinely amazing! My grandma had been living at home alone with carers going in, but it got to a point where that wasn't manageable anymore for anyone. Norton House were welcoming and accommodating from the off. The thing that I personally liked the most though was how straight forward they felt, no pushy sales pitch, no promising the world, which was refreshing in the middle of running around care homes and trying to get a solution together. Also there were (and are now) a few rooms being refurbished, which was nice to see. The whole building has nice homely feel to it, not clinical. My grandma raves about the food and staff, and her quality of life is night and day from how she was at home from my point of view and hers. I can even visit with my grandmas dog too. Its obvious the staff genuinely care about what they do and why they do it.
She has been with Norton House for 2 years, and has been so very well looked after. The staff are so caring and loving and have made her feel very special as a valued resident. The home is a pleasure to visit and we are always offered a drink and a smile. Her needs and safeguarding are very well met. The staff, systems and support network appear very well thought out, and give confidence that her health and welfare needs are continually being assessed and delivered. Her room and the communal areas are always clean and recent refurbishments have resulted in high quality communal living space. We know that she is in very good hands and fully enjoys her Norton House experience in all respects.
I am the cousin of your service user, I am very happy with the care she has received over the years. Staff are always friendly and very helpful. I feel certain that in her own way she is happy staying with you .
The staff at Norton House are really excellent. And I think that's what makes the home so special. Everyone is kind, caring and they go the extra mile for the residents, however challenging their needs. And always with a smile. The home itself is well kept, with a beautiful new extension and living areas for the residents to sit and socialise, together or with relatives. As a family we have real peace of mind that my Dad is well cared for and happy at Norton House. I recommend the home highly!
I can't rate Norton House highly enough. They take time and effort to get to know each resident individually and care so much about their welfare. It's more like being part of a family. I can visit my mum and enjoy our time together without the worries I had before she went into Norton House. She is so well looked after by such a friendly and caring team. All the rooms are kept clean and tidy and nothing is too much trouble. I am also kept well informed of how my Mum is doing.
My mum has been living here for 2 years now and is very happy in herself and seems settled. All the staff are very good with her and I always feel welcome when I visit her.
Mum has been here 2 years. She's quite happy and well cared for. Staff always helpful and kind.
My aunty has been in the home for four years and every visit is a pleasant one. The staff are very accommodating and the surroundings are always comfortable. My aunty is active and suffers from dementia, but she freely roams in a safe, secure environment. The meals are made fresh and eaten in a lovely dining area. Overall, as a family, we are very happy with her situation.
My uncle recently had to leave Norton House Care Home as they were unable to meet his needs. A new setting was found as quickly as possible, but there is a process to go through. The staff cared for my uncle to the best possible standards, even though it was difficult for them. His transition to his new home was well organised and they ensured his safety at all times, for which I am extremely grateful.
A very run care home with friendly and helpful staff. Always willing to assist an go above and beyond their duties. My father is cared for exceptionally well. Would highly recommend this care home. Thank you Norton House!
A well-run and organised establishment. Very homely and welcoming with friendly staff.
The staff is excellent and Mum is well looked after. Management keeps the family updated and all appropriate information. The main rooms (communal) are well decorated and furnished and are very comfortable.
Staff are very friendly and helpful and the house is well kept, clean and tidy. The refurbishments are nice. Could do with a couple more residents activities outside of Christmas.
Norton House has been decorated recently to a high standard. There is a great display of art on the walls. The staff are excellent. Very helpful and kind to the residents and visitors. We are always offered a hot drink when visiting. They organise lots to do and try to get everyone to participate. Mum is really looked after here.
We needed a place for Mum at short notice and these guys pulled out all the stops and got her a place - Thank you! She was well looked after, well fed and all her personal needs tended to. The staff regularly checked in on her and made sure she was ok, they kept her company. Their attention to detail and routine checks proved invaluable. We were regularly updated on her condition and we were listened to/helped with Mum's 'individual' needs. I've nothing but good stuff to report about Norton House, you have my thanks.
My mum moved into Norton House just a couple of weeks ago. The staff are all lovely, attending to Mum's every need. It is good to see their smiles regularly as they attend to Mum and also when passing by her room just waving at the door.
I have been at Norton House since Monday the 19th of November 2023. My necessary needs have been attended to very kindly by the daily and nightly staff, with smiling faces.
Always a warm, friendly welcome. All staff are always happy to help with anything. Always kind and reassuring to all residents with a sense of humour. Constantly offering activities and providing opportunities for all residents, family, and friends to join in, e.g. Halloween/Christmas. My friend is very happy here, and it is always a pleasure to visit. Good food, lots of tea/coffee on offer.
I have always looked forward to seeing my nana, but I also look forward to seeing the lovely, attentive staff and characterful individuals who live at Norton House. There's always something going on, and I often feel inclined to partake! The activities keep residents physically and mentally stimulated; they cover many different interests at many different skill levels to ensure everyone is included. The decor is warm and cosy; it feels like home. Tea and biscuits are plenty, the key to mine and my nanas heats. I often feel inclined to steal my nana's food; it looks so delectable. In my nana's words, "I like it very much, and they're very kind". Bonus point for Piano. Big fan. Thank you! Everyone who works here has a genuine love, patience and kindness towards residents.
