Staff always smiling and patient with residents. House clean and tidy. Staff always ready to listen and answer any worries or queries of relatives. Nothing too much trouble for them.

Mum has only been here since the beginning of July but in that time she has become one of the Norton House Family. Mum has Alzheimer's and so unfortunately I had to make the decision for her to go in a Care Home as she wasn't able to look after herself properly and I think I made the right choice.
Because Norton House is a small Care Home, the staff work hard but still have time to spend with the residents, they are so friendly and careing, with plenty smiles and hugs for anyone that might be needing one that particular day. The food is good, lots of activities to keep everyone occupied and mum is no longer lonely. Unfortunately because of the nature of her disease she doesn't remember a lot of what she has been doing, but I know she is living her best life and have no worries recommending Norton House to anyone looking for somewhere to place their loved one.

Nothing but positive experiences every time we visit mum. The staff are all excellent, well trained, welcoming and friendly. I was dreading my mum having to go into residential care, but Norton House has made the whole process easier and provided great piece of mind. Thoroughly recommend.

Genuinely amazing!


My grandma had been living at home alone with carers going in, but it got to a point where that wasn't manageable anymore for anyone.


Norton House were welcoming and accommodating from the off.


The thing that I personally liked the most though was how straight forward they

felt, no pushy sales pitch, no promising the world, which was refreshing in the middle of running around care homes and trying to get a solution together.


Also there were (and are now) a few rooms being refurbished, which was nice to see.


The whole building has nice homely feel to it, not clinical.


My grandma raves about the food and staff, and her quality of life is night and day from how she was at home from my point of view and hers.


I can even visit with my grandmas dog too.


Its obvious the staff genuinely care about what they do and why they do it.

She has been with Norton House for 2 years, and has been so very well looked after. The staff are so caring and loving and have made her feel very special as a valued resident. The home is a pleasure to visit and we are always offered a drink and a smile. Her needs and safeguarding are very well met.
The staff, systems and support network appear very well thought out, and give confidence that her health and welfare needs are continually being assessed and delivered. Her room and the communal areas are always clean and recent refurbishments have resulted in high quality communal living space.
We know that she is in very good hands and fully enjoys her Norton House experience in all respects.

The staff at Norton House are really excellent. And I think that's what makes the home so special. Everyone is kind, caring and they go the extra mile for the residents, however challenging their needs. And always with a smile. The home itself is well kept, with a beautiful new extension and living
areas for the residents to sit and socialise, together or with relatives. As a family we have real peace of mind that my Dad is well cared for and happy at Norton House. I recommend the home highly!

I can't rate Norton House highly enough. They take time and effort to get to know each resident individually and care so much about their welfare. It's more like being part of a family. I can visit my mum and enjoy our time together without the worries I had before she went into Norton House. She is
so well looked after by such a friendly and caring team. All the rooms are kept clean and tidy and nothing is too much trouble. I am also kept well informed of how my Mum is doing.

My aunty has been in the home for four years and every visit is a pleasant one. The staff are very accommodating and the surroundings are always comfortable. My aunty is active and suffers from dementia, but she freely roams in a safe, secure environment. The meals are made fresh and eaten in a lovely

My uncle recently had to leave Norton House Care Home as they were unable to meet his needs. A new setting was found as quickly as possible, but there is a process to go through. The staff cared for my uncle to the best possible standards, even though it was difficult for them. His transition to his
new home was well organised and they ensured his safety at all times, for which I am extremely grateful.

The staff is excellent and Mum is well looked after. Management keeps the family updated and all appropriate information. The main rooms (communal) are well decorated and furnished and are very comfortable.

Norton House has been decorated recently to a high standard. There is a great display of art on the walls. The staff are excellent. Very helpful and kind to the residents and visitors. We are always offered a hot drink when visiting. They organise lots to do and try to get everyone to participate. Mum
is really looked after here.

We needed a place for Mum at short notice and these guys pulled out all the stops and got her a place - Thank you!
She was well looked after, well fed and all her personal needs tended to.
The staff regularly checked in on her and made sure she was ok, they kept her company. Their attention to detail
and routine checks proved invaluable.
We were regularly updated on her condition and we were listened to/helped with Mum's 'individual' needs. I've nothing but good stuff to report about Norton House, you have my thanks.

My mum moved into Norton House just a couple of weeks ago. The staff are all lovely, attending to Mum's every need. It is good to see their smiles regularly as they attend to Mum and also when passing by her room just waving at the door.

Jillie-Jo Carver

Job Title: Registered Manager Joined: 2021

Jillie-Jo is our Registered Manager and the heart of Norton House. With over 20 years’ experience in the care sector, she started out as a carer and has worked her way up through dedication, compassion, and hands-on leadership. She holds her NVQ Level 5 and brings a calm, steady presence that anchors the whole team.


She oversees every part of the home – from resident wellbeing to staff development – and is known for her thoughtful leadership and passion for quality improvement. She’s warm, approachable, and always puts people at the centre of what we do.


Outside of work, Jillie-Jo enjoys spending time with her husband and two beautiful children. She’s also training as a hypnotherapist, reflecting her deep interest in emotional wellbeing and person-centred care.

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2022

Ruth joined Norton House in 2022 as a Carer and has steadily progressed through the roles of Senior Carer and Team Leader before becoming our Deputy Manager.


Ruth takes a keen interest in all aspects of resident life, from activities and wellbeing to helping share special moments on our social media. She brings a thoughtful, focused approach to her work and is a valued part of the management team.
