View Full Details of Park RidingMy mother has been a resident for almost a year, now approaching her 102nd birthday. She chose to stay there herself after only a few days of respite care. The food is excellent, very much catering to older people's tastes. Her bedroom is always clean and tidy. The home never has an "old people" smell about it - always clean and fresh. All the staff know her well, and treat her and others with respect and care. We looked at a few homes, but chose Park Riding because it was more cosy and family oriented, and we have not been disappointed. For the rates charged, it's superb - if it could be improved, it would be in terms of perhaps arranging more regular activities for residents able to do them, but this would need more staff, and a consequent increase in rates.
Park Riding have been incredible in looking after my mum who has dementia over the last few years. All the staff and the manager genuinely care about their residents, providing them with superb care which I cannot fault. It is small home so the staff get to know the residents very well and there has always been consistency in staff over the years which is a real benefit for people with dementia. Whenever we visit or call, we are met with a friendly and welcoming manner. The food is home cooked, they always celebrate birthdays with high tea and cakes, they put on entertainment for the residents and the home always appears clean. One of the main things I greatly appreciate is that I never have to worry about mum under the care of Park Riding. I know mum is very safe in their hands and they are always very good at communicating with you. I highly recommend the home and wouldn't have mum anywhere else.
We realise how fortunate we are to have found Park Riding when my dad needed 24-hour care just over 2 years ago. Being a small care home, everyone is treated as one of the family and it really feels like a proper 'home'. The staff are all amazing and show tremendous care and patience when supporting Dad. Not only that, we, the family are always welcomed with a friendly chat. All staff, from the brilliant manager, carers, caterers, cleaners and gardeners know my dad well and are fully engaged in his excellent care. Cleanliness is of a high standard. The home always smells fresh and clean and the bathrooms are spotless. Meals are home-cooked and always smell delicious. Celebrations and special events are always marked with a lovely gathering and a homemade cake. We can't thank the staff enough for love and care given to Dad. We would highly recommend Park Riding.
My aunt has been a resident of Park Riding for over 2 years now, during this time her health and wellbeing have improved. She seems to be very happy and settled there. She is well cared for by all the staff and we are always made to feel very welcome when visiting my aunt. Park Riding has a warm and homely atmosphere.
My husband has been in Park Riding for over two years. I am very happy with all the care they give him. All the staff are wonderful. They are all very caring with his different moods, nothing is too much trouble.
Park Riding is a lovely, comfortable, caring care home. It is clean (no nasty smells) and homely. The staff are very friendly, welcoming to visitors and most importantly patient, very kind, caring and understanding with the residents.
Mum has only been a resident at Park Riding for a short time, she absolutely loves the staff and has made some new friends of the other residents. Unfortunately, Mum's health has deteriorated very quickly and is now at end of life. Her wishes to stay at the care home have been honoured and I am so glad she is being cared for by such a wonderful team of people. The staff are fantastic and are looking after Mum with care and respect. I am so grateful to the whole team, and I would highly recommend the home to anyone looking for somewhere for an elderly family member.
When the time comes when you are left with no other option but to place your relative into 24-hour care it can be an emotional and difficult time. The day I called (unannounced) to Park Riding that decision became much easier for me. Walking through the doors it was warm and cosy. There was a lovely smell of cooking. I was met by the lovely caring staff and shown around. They took time to answer my questions. The residents were all together in the lounge. No one is isolated. So I made the decision this is where my mum would live. This would be her home. Never once have I regretted this decision. The staff are incredible. My mum is happy and well cared for. She is safe. When I go and see my mum it's like home from home. And I receive a lovely welcome too. My mum has Dementia. Because of this things can get challenging particularly if she is unwell. But the staff handle these times with empathy and compassion. When outside help is needed, it is sought in a timely manner.
A great home for Mum. She settled much better than we expected with the care staff being caring and kind to Mum and our family. Very homely and comfortable. Feel very comfortable going to visit anytime. Thank you all at Park Riding.
Park Riding continues to provide a kind, calm, attentive home environment for my very elderly mum. Her wishes and needs are always well respected and the care provided is very much tailored to how she chooses to live day to day.
A fantastic care home that looks after both Mum and Dad and gives us complete peace of mind that all their care needs are met. A very relaxed environment with a homely feel enhanced by lovely staff who go out of their way to make everyone is looked after. Very highly recommended!
We are genuinely thrilled to have found this care home. They have been caring for my mother-in-law for over two years, and recently took my father-in-law for respite care. The staff are all so lovely and effort is made not just to entertain, but also to celebrate whilst keeping everyone well looked after and safe. We couldn’t have wished for a better experience. Big thank you to the manager and the team who are wonderful people doing a wonderful job.
This is a lovely, small, cosy, caring and comfortable care home. Nothing is too much trouble for the kind and compassionate staff. Thank you.
It was a big decision for Mum to finally require support from moving into a care home. It was important that the home was small and offered a caring, friendly, nurturing environment alongside good quality care. Park Riding has more than fulfilled this. The staff are always friendly, respectful and approachable should any issues occur. Mum has been a resident since May 2023 and it is reassuring to see her happy, settled and well-cared for.
Park Riding was the only one of a number of care homes that we had been to look at for my mum, 95, that we walked into and could see Mum happily living there. It has surpassed all expectations. It is small, homely and comfortable, and the lovely staff team provide quality, bespoke and responsive care that has meant that Mum has gradually settled and is content there since moving in May this year. We are always made welcome when we visit which adds to the sense of it being a real home. Thank you all.
A place that radiates warmth. Staff are wonderful. Unexpected visits cause them no concern. Well done to all.
Mum has been a resident for over 3 months now and has settled so well at Park Riding. It is an excellent care home, professionally run but with a real homely feel to it. The staff are very caring and understanding and have really got to know her. She has a lovely room which is kept very clean. Mum tells us the food is good and she enjoys the frequent activities offered. We feel so very grateful that mum has settled well, and knowing that she is well looked after means such a lot.
“A home from home” Mum is very happy and comfortable in Park Riding. The staff create a kind and caring environment, always making sure she is comfortable but also safe. The home is small and therefore creates a very warm(heating always on) and cosy atmosphere similar to the one she had at home with comfortable chairs (some motorised) and familiar fireplace/furniture. The food menu choices are obviously very well thought through and Mum has enjoyed a variety of meals, some familiar and some new to her. There are lots of activities on offer, creative/exercise, not all of which Mum partakes in but she always enjoys the musical activities esp the singing. For us on visiting Mum, we are always made welcome and we are aware of continual upgrades being made to carpets, bathrooms, gardens etc. Since it became apparent that Mum needed 24-hour care and she went into Park Riding, her health and well-being has significantly improved. It feels to us that she has just moved house and not gone into care.
Cleanliness is of a high standard and the meals are cooked each day. A varied menu is offered with a month's worth of menus available to view at any time. The rooms are of a high decorative standard most with en-suite facilities or nearby facilities available. Spotlessly clean showers and bathrooms are available with up-to-date appliances. Staff are friendly and helpful and my friend is well cared for. Staff are vigilant regarding my friend's health and well being. Visiting takes place in privacy in the conservatory although this could do with an upgrade.
Mum lives in Park Riding she is comfortable, happy, fed and well looked after. It's a small cosy home with friendly, helpful staff who always make us visitors welcome. There's always a good smell of food cooking coming from the kitchen. If we need a chat staff are at the end of the phone to reassure us. Peace of mind that Mum is well looked after, can't thank the staff enough for their kind thoughts and care. Well done Park Riding.
