View Full Details of Hallmark Maycroft ManorWe chose Maycroft Manor because it seemed so friendly and accommodating. My Mother needed respite care after a stay in hospital. Her house had become unmanageable and we needed a stop gap whilst we got her new flat ready . The care my mother has received over the last 3 months has been excellent , the food is excellent has are the staff. The overall experience for her has been one of kindness and care . I will go as far as to say I think it gave her a new lease of life , I attribute her care to her being able to go on and live independently again. For me it's been a massive help knowing how well she has been looked after, the stress of thinking how we were really going to get things sorted for her was overwhelming but once she was with the care home everything became easier and manageable. The management and staff should be congratulated on running such an amazing service.
My mother has been at Maycroft since November 2024, and during that time, there have been ongoing issues with the poor standard of meals. In addition, recently, possibly due to the summer holidays lack of staff, laundry is not being collected or the room bins emptied. Clothes regularly go missing from the laundry, considering the extremely high cost (increased in April this year), often we find aspects unacceptable at Maycroft.
Maycroft is absolutely amazing. My mum has been a resident for 6 years, and my dad moved in in December 24. I cannot believe how well he has settled. This is due to the very supportive care staff and management. They listened to all my dad's quirky needs and therefore were able to settle down really well. He loves the food and having a hot meal at lunch time. As a family, we very much enjoy the events at the care home. The recent barn dance was amazing, and I loved seeing my dad wearing a cowboy hat!
Maycroft have been so wonderful caring for my dad. He has gained healthy weight, which I am sure is down to the lovely food. The nurses & carers are all very caring. Love all the events that are organised for residents & family. The staff are always super responsive to any special requests or any small issues. V happy.
We have been utterly thrilled with the care and attention given to Dad since he moved into Maycroft Manor in November 2024. The staff take great care to understand the likes/wants/needs of every individual, and the entertainment team really go the extra mile to find interesting and engaging activities (quizzes, discussion groups, musical events, desert island discs, films). Dad has found his feet and is flourishing since his move to Maycroft, and we can't thank them enough.
I cannot speak highly enough of Maycroft Manor and the people who work here. There is such a feeling of warmth and care in this place; it is genuinely moving. Nothing is too much trouble, and the attention to detail is phenomenal. If ever we encounter a minor issue, it is health with immediately. The extra-curricular activities and little touches every day are what make Maycroft Manor a home rather than a care facility. We genuinely look forward to our visits and are always made to feel welcome. My father-in-law is happier than he has been in years. Thank you!
Such caring staff. Nothing is too much trouble. New staff coming onto the team all have the same attitude - great culture established. Families welcomed and involved.
My husband has been in Maycroft since November 2024 and has improved due to eating well, timely administration of medication, continual consideration and care of his needs. Great support given to me during difficult times.
Lovely care home. My MIL is very happy here. She is 95 and blind, and she feels totally part of the community. She is included in all things & is made to feel very special. All staff are very caring & her needs are very well met. She always seems very busy.
My mother has been a resident of Maycroft Manor for a couple of years. The home has always treated mum with the greatest of respect and care. Even though mum is blind, there are always activities for her to participate in, so never a dull moment.
My father spent the last year of his life at Maycroft Manor. The care and support he received from the team was exemplary, from the very first contact to his last days everyone showed such amazing kindness and attentiveness to his every need. He enjoyed his time there, making positive relationships and taking part in a range of interesting entertainments. I am also very grateful for the kindness and support I received from the wonderful team, thank you.
I was transferred from hospital by ambulance for rehab. I fractured my spine. This establishment is amazing in every way. Run by a young, dynamic team, the staff are very special and seem carefully chosen "hand picked". They are truly top quality, working 24/7 with true dedication, love, passion and a gift for their job. Some individuals I would like to name and have to management, as they have gone the extra mile for me and beyond. It has been a real feel good factor, that of being in a family, yet a 6* hotel. The food is amazing, gluten free is not issue at all. The facilities and activities are amazing, every answer is a yes with a smile and hug. Truly awesome! Maycroft Manor should receive an award!
The most lovely staff. Full of respect, kindness and a sense of humour.. Everybody friendly. Extremely clean and fragrant. Christmas was like a fairy tale - so happy with it all.
I have nothing but thanks and praise for the wonderful care team who cared for my precious husband to the end. He was treated with such kindness and respect and I couldn't have chosen a better place. Management were always approachable and committed to the resident's and families wellbeing.
Mum is very happy in Hallmark Maycroft. The accommodation is very modern which Mum loves and the activities that they put on suit my mum down to the ground. She enjoys the bistro as she can socialise with the other residents while eating lovely food.
My mother-in-law is 96 and has been in Maycroft Manor for two years. Her health has improved significantly and she is happier than she has been for many years. When my own mother became poorly and confused it was an easy decision to choose Maycroft. The staff are everything, truly wonderful, and they have nursed my mother back to full health. She is living her best life - happier and fitter than she has been for a long time. She says that everybody loves her - more could you ask for!
Lovely care home for my nan. Meets her needs well! Nan is very happy here and she loves the people. My nan enjoys the entertainment they provide and, of course, all of the delicious food and meals! The customer relationship manager and another staff member work incredibly hard and are always so supportive of us as a family. One member of the bistro staff in particular works so hard to keep not only my nan, but others happy, by keeping the bistro stocked up with delicious treats. So thank you to all for continually going above and beyond to make the residents happy.
When my brother was diagnosed with dementia and we were luckily able to secure a place at Maycroft Manor Care Home, I was extremely worried. I need not have been. His care has always been of the highest order and every single staff member here has been exceptional. He has been so happy here, feels totally at home and is given exceptional care by everyone with whom he comes into contact.
My sister and I are so happy with Maycroft Manor Care Home. They have supported all of Mum's needs so well. Thank you.
