Since my mum started attending the day centre, she has truly blossomed. She is so much happier and really looks forward to going. Its wonderful to see her come home smiling & relaxed and she speaks so fondly of the staff and how caring & kind they are. The staff really are so incredibly kind and
patient and go above and beyond in their support, not only to my mum, but to me as well. They have been so knowledgeable, understanding and supportive around her diagnosis, which means more than I can say. The regular communication and updates are fantastic and put my mind at ease. The atmosphere is homely, warm, friendly and safe, with lots of laughter & singing! It's such a comfort knowing that my Mum is treated with such dignity & care. I am extremely grateful for everything that they do.

I would thoroughly recommend friends of the elderly to anyone looking for a safe enjoyable day placement for their elderly relatives

All the staff at the day centre where my husband attended were brilliant. They are all very professional , yet really personal to my husband's individual needs. They reassured me and my husband loved going and looked forward to his visits. They were very attentive to every detail to make it a
special time for him and in turn made me feel safe when dropping him off. I can not thank them enough , you all work really hard and I really appreciated everything you did.

Excellent service ..caring lovely knowledgeable staff , Daycentre is a lifeline to many , my mother thoroughly enjoys her time she spends there , they offer support on so many levels cannot recommend highly enough

I am the primary carer/ husband of my wife who, because of her dementia, requires full time support and care. In March last year I began the search for a day care centre which would give me some time out in looking after her. After viewing a number of centres together with the family I decided the
FOE day centre at Davenham would be the place most suited to my wife's needs. How right we were! Despite initial reservations from my wife she soon settled in to the daily routines and activitiies. We increased attendance from 2 to 3 days per week very soon after the intial few months.
All of the staff there were and are brilliant with nothing too much trouble to make my wife comfortable and with the amount of activities available, the reassurance by the care staff when she feels a little vulnerable and the general ambience of the surroundings I would strongly recommend the Davenham day centre to anyone who wants that extra little bit of care and support for the service user and their carer

Mum has been using the Day Care facilty for the last four years. She absolutely loved every minute there and even said she wished she could take her bed. Sadly the time has come for her to move into residential care and she was very sad having to say goodbye to her friends and her amazing carers who
all gave her a lovely send off. The carers are obviously Angels on loan. Thank you all so very much for your dedication and being Mums friend xxx

Due to Mom's deteriorating health she will now be a full time resident in a care home so will no longer be a day visitor to Davenham. It comes with sadness that she has to leave as I truly feel she was blessed to have been able to spend time at the day centre. The staff were absolutely brilliant,
there wasn't anything that was too much trouble with her care and support. Initially Mom was a little anxious when she first started going however, she was warmly welcomed by all so that didn't last long and she soon wanted to increase her daily attendance. She loved all the interactions and activities, especially having a little sing along, dancing and having her nails painted! I highly recommend Davenham to anyone wanting some extra special care, support and interaction for their loved ones. Thank you all, you'll be very missed.

I wanted to extend my deepest gratitude for the care and attention you provided to my wife during her time with you. Your dedication, compassion and professionalism have made a significant difference in her well-being and comfort. My wife has spoken highly of the warmth and kindness she experienced
from each member of your team. You all go above and beyond to create a nurturing and supportive environment for those in your care. Thank you once again for your outstanding service for making her stay positive and enriching.
I do not, however, like your company's draconian charging system were unavoidable absence is charge at almost full rate!

My time spent with you was enjoyable it allowed my wife to have a break and a chance for me to meet and share with other people. The staff were very kind caring and cheerful treating me with respect and dignity and made me feel very welcome. Thank you.

My mother attended Friends of the Elderly Malvern Day Care for about a year when she was still living in her own home and continued to attend after her dementia reached the stage that she needed to move to the full-time dementia care unit at Friends of the Elderly Malvern. Going to the Lodge was the
highlight of Mum's week, and it was really helpful in providing a bridge between home and full-time care.

Excellent service in the day centre. Friendly staff are very helpful with advice, I would recommend this service, it was the highlight of my dad's week.

I would like to say that I found all the staff very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much for them to do if asked. Also no matter what I asked them about they would always help, if they didn't know then they would find someone who did or find an answer.

When I took my husband to daycare they were very friendly and made us welcome. Unfortunately, he was not ready for meeting people and playing games, etc. I hope he will in time and that he can go back there in due course.

My husband attended the day centre several days a week for a number of months. He believed he was going to work to help the staff and was always happy to go.
The staff were lovely, respectful, compassionate and extremely caring towards my husband.
I cannot thank them enough for the support they
gave to both myself and my husband.

From the moment my husband went to Malvern Day Care he really enjoyed it. It was great as he was a quiet man and didn't need a lot of company. Everyone was so friendly caring and compassionate that my husband looked forward every week to attending. There was a great variety of things to do and to
stimulate the people who attended each week. I cannot speak highly enough for the team. Also, the food provided was very good.

My husband enjoys going to Friends of the Elderly. I used to take him in the car and the staff would take him in the wheelchair. He's had two strokes and has Vascular Dementia. The staff were wonderful nothing was too much for them. I have spoken to my husband and asked the questions he really would
like to go back but at the moment he has not been very well.

My mum loved attending her time at daycare. From the moment she stepped through the door, everyone was so friendly. It was like home-from-home. The ladies (carers) were so very professional but kind at the same time. Thank you so much for all that you did for her.

My mother has been attending the Lodge in Malvern Day Care rub by Friends of Elderly. U can highly recommend the team here and the excellent standard of care they provide. All the staff are friendly and approachable and supportive above and beyond the call of duty. Mum has undertaken various
activities which she thoroughly enjoys and is always treated with dignity and respect.
