We had to find a care home at short notice and found selves so lucky to find Sherwood Grange. The staff were very friendly and caring. My parent only moved because it didn't cater for couples. My sister and I took comfort in knowing they were well cared for and in a safe place.
Thank you.

From the first visit first impressions, to leaving the home, Sherwood Grange staff were welcoming, friendly, kind, professional and very helpful.
They understood their role to make my father welcome and comfortable following all the recent changes in his life. They looked after him physically and
emotionally and provided support and reassurance to the wider family as required.
The staff exceeded my and my fathers expectations.
We are extremely grateful to Sherwood Grange staff.

My husband went into Sherwood Grange for two weeks respite care. The staff took exceptional care of him and went above and beyond to meet his needs. They took time to understand exactly what he wanted and needed. His room was very comfortable with a lovely view of the garden. He came home relaxed
and happy .
A superb home that I will certainly use again.

I was lived in Sherwood Grange for 5 weeks after 3 months in hospital following a stroke. The care home is very well managed and staff are extremely helpful and caring to residents. There are many activities eg music, crafts, visits to places of interest. I was able to improve before going back to
home.

The staff have treated our loved one with genuine warmth, dignity, and respect, creating a true sense of home and belonging.
What has stood out most is the care & compassion shown by every member of the team. They have taken the time to understand not just care needs, but personal preferences,
routines, and the little things that make such a difference to quality of life.
Special occasions and birthdays are celebrated increasing the sense of community, friendship and connection. Nothing was ever too much trouble for staff.
As care needs became more complex, the level of professionalism and empathy grew stronger. The staff worked closely with hospice services to ensure comfort, dignity, and peace during end-of-life care. Their sensitivity, communication, and unwavering support meant everything.
We are deeply grateful for the dedication, kindness, and respect shown. Sherwood Grange is a place where residents are valued as individuals, & where families can feel confident of the best care.

My mother had been a resident at Sherwood Grange since February 2023, following decline in her mobility and cognitive abilities. The home was well maintained, comfortable and warm, the staff always seemed to genuinely care for the residents, and great effort was made to ensure my mum was involved in
the activities and outings, even though she had lost her enthusiasm for life. They always attended to her medical needs, calling on the local GP or district nurse where necessary. In the last few weeks, when she declined, I was kept informed of her condition and they checked on her regularly and always had her welfare and comfort at the forefront of her care. I have only dropped a star as many of the clothes that we had taken in, disappeared over the course of her stay. This was reported to various staff members and I know it happens at other care homes.

My husband was a resident at Sherwood Grange for 3 years. During his time there I visited nearly every day and got to know know the carers and home very well. The core team of carers were there from the start which meant they knew him and the other residents very well. I found all the carers to
be very kind and caring to everyone, even the difficult residents. There is an activity team who organise outings and plenty going on within the home so most days they don't just sit in front of the TV all day. I have found that the management team are very hands on and approachable. My husband sadly passed away in September and as I didn't want him to go to hospital, he received end of life care in the home and for his last 3 days my son, daughter and I were able to be with him 24/7. Everyone was very kind and caring to us all and my husband. A number of the carers even attended my husbands funeral which is a testament to their caring nature. I would definitely recommend Sherwood Grange.

Overall care was good as far as I can tell. Rebecca can remember nothing about it. I was not happy with the Prestay assessment. It should have been more personalised for Dementia sufferers and what Rebecca had been used to at home, such as airbed and air recliner. This could have prevented her bed
sore development. Also a post stay report would be useful for any Dementia sufferers carer. The home staff are always very helpful.

My daughter Jowita spent two weeks at this Home Care. I would like to wholeheartedly thank all the staff for taking such good care of my daughter. The Home is beautiful, clean, and fragrant. When you walk in, you feel right at home. The entire staff is fantastic, helpful, caring, and friendly. My
daughter felt like she was on vacation with family.

Sherwood Grange is a very pleasant care home with nice rooms, dining area and communal room.
The food is excellent.
There are also quite a few activities for the people cared for including a cinema room trips out and live music.
My father had advanced dementia and the best thing about Sherwood
Grange were the staff.
You hear many horror stories about how staff treat people in care homes but the staff at Sherwood Grande were wonderful.
They truly had a great connection with my father and I noticed the same with other people.
I must also thank the supervisors in charge of my father's floor, they were very professional but also very kind and caring and seamed genuinely pleased when my father was doing well.
All in all I cannot recommend Sherwood Grange enough.

Started as a 3 week respite stay and ended up being 4 months. Despite change, my husband was well cared for and definitely well fed. Lots of activities included for residents. Staff caring and attentive to his needs.

My husband had three weeks respite at Sherwood Grange in August. Time was taken to settle him in and I was also made very welcome and told that I could visit at any time of day.
He liked the staff and they seemed to like him so I felt quite happy after five days to go away with my family for a
weeks holiday leaving him in their care. While I was away I even had a phone call to say that he was ok.
Even on my return he did not seem to mind that he was not coming home with me which proved to me that he was quite at home there.
This respite has been invaluable for my wellbeing to allow me to continue to look after my husband with Alzheimers for as long as I can.

Mum was at Sherwood Grange for just over a year and had the best care we could have asked for. I was very unsure about using a care home but it was the right choice. Mum had companionship and a staff team who really cared. They arranged a party for her Birthday which was so special. It was also
great from a relative's point of view as communication was excellent and we were able to arrange for help with hospital trips when we weren't available. The 'open door' policy for visiting was so reassuring. The whole team were amazing from the office staff, the reception team to the carers who all took the time to really know the residents. A particular thanks to the team leaders, who all went the extra mile as well as carers who Mum got to know and trust. Most importantly, Mum called it home and that, I think, says it all.

When my mother moved into Sherwood Grange, she found the staff welcoming, caring and kind. Visitors also are made to feel very welcome.
The ensuite rooms are very pleasant and comfortable. The home is very clean and well maintained and all the common areas comfortable and inviting for both
residents and visitors. There is a pretty garden area as well.
The meals are very good and beautifully served and there are plenty of varied activities for those that want.
I would definitely recommend Sherwood Grange.

It was with trepidation that I sent my husband, suffering with Parkinson's and dementia into Sherwood Grange for his first respite stay, but I felt reassured by the staff and their caring attitude towards him. His accommodation fulfilled all his needs and wants as did the staff taking care of him.
They made me feel at ease with the situation too, so much so that I have booked another respite stay for him (and me!) next month. So thank you to the team at Sherwood Grange.

My husband was admitted on the 9th of May.

He had a lovely room overlooking trees.

My brother and I were delighted with the three weeks respite care my father received at Sherwood Grange again this year. The staff where friendly and professional and made my Dad feel welcome and ensure he had everything he need when required. When I visited my Dad , he only had hi praise for staff
and other residents and how they involved him in everything from singing and drinks in the garden. He also enjoyed lots of guests who came in to chat / gave talks to residents making a change from his normal daily routine at home. So I would strongly recommend this home and I will mine and Dad's my first choice when he needs respite again.

I was very happy that my Mum was part of Sherwood Grange care. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Mum had a nice big room, with her own bathroom, the reception aria and coffee shop were welcoming to use at all times. We spent some time with her enjoying teas and coffees with cakes or
biscuits, in the cafe or sit in the lovely garden when weather permited. I strongly recommend Sherwood Grange

My daughters and I were delighted with the three weeks respite care my wife had at Sherwood Grange. The staff were very welcoming and quickly helped her settle in. I was impressed by the professional approach they took to learning all about her and what she needed by way of help with dressing,
eating and sleeping. She quickly felt at home, helped by having a nice room with a view of the garden and her first lunch.
I visited most days and always found her to be happy and contented and several times I was able to see her join in with music and singing sessions. It was great to be able to take her down to the cafe for a drink and a cake or to sit in the garden with other residents and staff. The staff were always friendly and well engaged and alert to any possible issues.
Sometimes clothes go missing in homes but the laundry were very efficient at labelling any clothes which I had failed to mark and in returning them all packed up at the end of the stay.
I strongly recommend the home.
