View Full Details of Pemberley Manor Care HomeWhat a fabulous care home this is ! At the most recent relatives' meeting held by the Manager on 23rd Sept 2025 , not only were relatives updated generally about Pemberley Manor , we were also informed about the newest NHS research regarding dietary changes which can help reduce falls in elderly people by fifty per cent . Just look at that for a totally professional and forward thinking outlook for this amazing care home under its new management. Total reasons for celebrating the fine example and exacting standards Pemberley Manor is setting for itself - congrats! All the staff are totally dedicated , have excellent awareness and are committed within their roles - such a joy to experience. My mother is totally settled and happy at Pemberley Manor , making it an utter relief for the family. A thousand thanks to you all .
My husband has been a resident at Pemberley since 10th June 2025. He is on the advanced dementia floor. Since he has been there after a difficult start he is beginning to settle. He is eating and put on weight. The carers are very good with him and know his needs. Overall I'm very happy with Pemberley and especially the carers.
My mum stayed at Pemberley Manor Care Home for two weeks of respite care and we were really impressed. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, which made her feel very welcome. The rooms are lovely, (more like a hotel than a care home), and she really enjoyed the food. Everywhere is spotless and there's a beautiful garden to sit in. When mum was poorly, the team went above and beyond to make sure she got the medical care she needed. Mum had a great experience and we'd happily recommend Pemberley Manor.
Mum has just returned home from respite care at Pemburly Manor. After lots of research and looking at several homes in the local area, it was quite obvious as soon as I went in that this was the one. It was spotlessly clean and quite luxurious. Most of mum's visitors expressed that it was more like a 5 star hotel. All the staff were very welcoming and helpful, answering any queries or concerns that we had. Whilst mum was in there, the carers were all very professional and so kind and caring and able to meet her needs, whilst at the same time showing respect and giving thought to her dignity. In my opinion the CQC inspection on Pemburly is completely inaccurate and can only think that this was done a while ago and needs to be updated asap, to give a true reflection on how wonderful this carehome actually is.
I can't praise the care home enough they all bend over backwards to help you. I'm so happy my Husband is in there. The staff are caring and devoted to helping everyone in the home the rooms are spacious always spotless. Bathroom has everything there to help if you have mobility problems. The cinema is amazing all comfortable chairs to relax in while you sit back and watch films They have Verandas in each floor where I often wheel my Husband to and enjoy a drink or some lunch with him I feel so relaxed and happy that he is being cared for in this home
Pemberley Manor is a lovely clean .very well.maintained place...all staff are polite caring and approachable. The care they give to the residents is excellent..activities are very well done by staff...management are very helpful and organised. Since my mum has been there in the past 4 weeks she has improved so much...which is credit to all the staff and management..
It has been an emotional rollercoaster considering next steps for my 101 year old Nan. After a period in hospital it was evident that a "care hotel" was necessary. Having done lots of research and visiting 11 care homes, there was only one place that was good enough for my Nan - Pemberley Manor Care Hotel! When I initially did the unplanned visit I was warmly welcomed by all and the community culture was evident. It is hard to put into words what you feel when you go in, it is that felling that it is the right place. As stated the facilities and decoration are lovely but this is just an added bonus. The staff team are clearly the best resource and the ethos they have created is exceptional. I feel lucky that my Nan finally got a place and the transition was seamless, thanks to all involved. Within an 1 hour of arriving my Nan had her nails painted, booked a hair cut (for that afternoon) and was thinking about the food options. Thank you all.
My mum had two strokes in May 2025 and also suffers with Parkinson's so we had to make the heartbreaking decision that mum could no longer live with myself as I had 3flights of stairs leading to my front door, which my mum could no longer do . Pemberly Manor was recommended to me and I went to take a look around, instantly I knew this was where my mum was going to live, The staff are absolutely amazing they are all fantastic, the care staff are amazing friendly and go above and beyond as well , I was actually abit teary knowing I'd found such a beautiful place for my mum to live the rest of her years ,It's like one big family you feel the warmth as soon as you walk in There activities they do with the Residents,Summer Barbecue, they celebrate The residents Birthdays all of them no one is left out .Pemberly manor is clean and the residents rooms are very cosy My mum is very happy here and we are very lucky to have my mum there .
As a family it was heartbreaking to have to make the decision to look for residential care, for my wife, who has Alzheimers. From the moment we stepped into Pemberley Manor, we knew this was the only home we wanted for her. The staff are so friendly, approaching my wife first, before talking to me, showing us that she would be their priority. The facilities, decor, and general condition of Pemberley is superb, feeling more like a hotel than a care home. It's always kept nice and clean. The dining room is like a restaurant, serving freshly cooked, varied, nutritional meals Activities are organised every day, and although my wife doesn't participate in many, those which she has, she very much enjoyed. It's still early days, and obviously my wife has to learn to trust the staff, and they have to get to know her. So far however, she seems to be settling in well, with lots of smiles, showing us that she is happy. This gives us great comfort, many thanks to all the staff at Pemberley Manor.
We took mum to an open day at Pemberley Manor. We were all very impressed with how friendly and professional everyone was. This has continued for the six weeks that mum has resided here. We are always kept informed as to what is happening. Her room is spacious. Everywhere is clean. The grounds are lovely. The dining room is like a restaurant and mum always says how good the food is. There are plenty of activities during the day, including trips out. During this hot weather they have made sure everyone is hydrated. Including us. It's l lovely having a coffee in the bistro.
Perhaps with some pre conceived ideas of a home I continue to be surprised by the stylish environment and the vocational dedication of the staff. My mother has a disposition to complain more than most but has now agreed to stay permanently following a respite/ trial. The transition from staying there due to forced necessity to a preference and desire took 6 weeks. Try before you buy perhaps a more effective means of validating suitability than relying on brief visits or the experiences of others.
We spent ages searching for the best place for Mum's Residential care to meet the needs of her Alzheimer's and her well being. From my first call with the Pemberley team and as soon as I walked through the front door I knew that this was the place for mum! Mum has been there 6 weeks now and has settled in amazingly. ALL the staff from reception, to maintenance to the carer's have been amazing and made such an effort to get to know her and made her feel at home. The facilities, activities and grounds are like a 5 star hotel and I often joke I wouldn't mind spending the weekend there for a break! The team at Pemberley go out of their way to keep residents family updated with news and information about what is going on there and encourage family participation.
Mum was placed into Pemberley Manor upon discharge from hospital after suffering a stroke and needed 24 hour care as the stroke has fastened the pace of her dementia ! From the moment I arrived and was met by one staff member on reception and then met by another member of staff I knew immediately that this was the right place for mum ! The staff are amazing at looking after her and the atmosphere is just so friendly ! Mum has already said she doesn't want to leave ! Great place for people to be staying at !
I honestly cannot fault Pemberley Manor Care Home. My Mum has Alzheimer's and has been a resident for nearly 2 weeks and she is thriving. She is receiving excellent care and is very happy and content. The home itself is absolutely spotless and Mum's room is so lovely and bright. The staff are wonderful!! so caring, kind and helpful. We are able to visit Mum at anytime and we are always made so welcome. It's a huge emotional decision placing a loved one in a care home but I would honestly recommend Pemberley Manor 100%.
My father-in-law has Dementia and stayed at Pemberley Manor for 3 weeks in April whilst we had a Rest bite break. The staff are all very friendly & caring with everyone at the care home residents & visitors alike. Rooms are spacious with en-suite toilets and alway clean. There is lots of activities including cake making, quizzes, making easter bonnets and even a day trip to the seaside which he loved. The food is good and there is always plenty of choice. Overall we are very impressed with Pemberley Manor & will not hesitate to let them look after him when we next have a break.
Dad has been in Pemberley Manor since September 2024 having spent 8 weeks in hospital following a stroke which left him with severe communication difficulties both verbal and written. Before the stroke he wasn't the most social person spending most 99% of his time in his house and so he has not formed many relationships with other residents but has formed strong friendships with a couple of the carers. During my visits I have been impressed by the welcome I get from all the staff and now have chats with the management, care, maintenance, activity and catering staff not just about my Dad but also other members of my family.
I would say that pemberley manor is an amazing place. Hygiene standards are are high, the staff are always friendly and eager to help in any way they can, and all residents are encouraged to take part in the many activities the home provides. Overall a fantastic place.
I have been a resident for 3 months. It has a new manager and I have just been to a meeting and the manager was speaking to us, and also welcoming us to ask ? it was very informative and we felt that we were listened to. It is very nice here, the staff are kind and helpful and there is always a senior care staff who you can talk to if you have any concerns.
My mum has been in Pemberley Manor's care since December 2024, At Pemberley Manor mum has blossomed, she has the confidence and a new found strength to walk, with aid. She couldn't do this before, she was alone and scared and the carers couldn't give her the time she needed. She now has a couple of friends, the staff arranged for them to meet, they have things in common and look out for each other, my mum has needed this so much. Pemberley Manor hold many functions for the residents and their families, it has a very homely feel and as a relative you are made to feel included and welcome. The staff can never do enough, very helpful and understanding. I appreciate this sounds too good to be true, and that's exactly how I thought at first, but it really has been like this and to know my mum is impressed with herself in walking to see her friends, makes my heart swell with happiness. Mum has finally got some normality and independence in her life.
First of all, I want to appreciate the admin office of the home. The office works fantastically because there are no "no's" in that office. They are always supportive, there are some select carers who have a passion for this work. You will always see it in them that they care. Medical team are also trying their best but no one can get 100%. Kitchen are good in the area of their specialisation but not in all dishes such as African dishes. The new manager has really made so much impact since she assumed office. There are tremendous changes. The cleaners are also working so hard.
