The staff helped organise and arrange the first Christmas dinner where dad would not be at home, they decorated the room lovely, layed out the table making it easy for us just to bring the food. It was very personal and they went above and beyond to make a time that was difficult to a lovely memory.
It meant a lot all knowing that my dad is in such a home is very reassuring so thank you.

Ty Cariad is manage to a very high standard, the residents get treated with respect and dignity by all the staff, the staff is very freandley and allways goes above and beond to make sure us as a family are informed about my fathers care at all times. During the years that my father has been in Ty
Cariad we are a family have been very lucky knowing that my father is in a safe comfortable place.

I have full confidence leaving my husband in their care. Very welcoming everytime I visit.

My wife has been a resident in Ty Cariad for six years. During that time she has lived in Ty Enfys, Hafan Fele and Retreat. The staff have moved her according to her needs at that time, which has been most helpful for her. The staff from managers, reception, nursing, careers, cleaners kitchen and
laundry staff are all exceptional in their care towards both my wife, myself and my family. I cannot thank them enough for what they do. I know that my wife is cared for and well looked after.

My mother has been a resident of Ty Cariad for several years now. I feel so relaxed now because I know she is being well cared for and appears to be happy. The staff genuinely seem to care a lot for the residents and show them love. I really like the fact that Ty Cariad is a purpose built
facility as it means everyone has the same sized room with en-suite shower room and it also means that it's easy, and safe, for the residents to move around (I have visited a few and that's certainly not often the case!). The rooms are nice and everywhere always seems so clean, especially the kitchen! There is a nice garden. I love that they've made a room into a little cafe and so the residents feel like they've been somewhere different when they get to visit. There's usually something going on (a choir visiting, a pampering session etc.). I definitely can recommend Ty Cariad and their staff.

The staff work above and beyond the call of duty. All the staff are very delightful. At all times. My husband love's all the staff. Which means a lot to me. Because he is very happy with everyone. Who looks after him.

My mother arrived in Ty Cariad last October 2025 after 3 months in hospital. She was palliative care and was expected to be with us 6-8 weeks. Here we are 8 months later and she is still with us and its all down to the excellent care she receives. All the staff are polite and management are very
approachable and know my mum so well! The home is so clean and tidy and everyone works so hard. Well done everyone!

My Auntie has been resident since September 2025. She had a long stay of 14 weeks in the hospital with quite and unsettling period of time. Her transition to Ty Cariad went as well as it could due to her mental health, but she soon settled when she was welcomed generously on the site. We were able
to bring in home comforts to make her room as welcoming as possible. All the staff from Tracy on reception to Jess the nurse and all the care team speak to Joan in the most comforting way even though she has good and bad days they never treat her any different. Life is difficult for her but is made as comfortable as possible in the homely environment which doesn't feel like a care home. Jasmine the activities co-ordinator has made a huge impression on Joan and always has a smile which Joan recognises as a happy face. We as a family have confidence in her being comfortable and cared for like she was family.

Smooth and caring transition from another care home to Ty Cariad. Mum was made welcome despite her occasional down times. She was assimilated into the new environment with great care. The team have responded positively to specific requests relating to mum. They have gone out of their way to make
special events memorable for mum (whole family visit in September/xmas lunch with family/88th birthday with family). Despite her combination of dementia and inability to walk, she is included in many of the activities, so that alone time in her room is minimal, which is ideal for mum as she is very sociable. Her 1st few months here couldn't have gone any smoother

My mum has been a resident of Ty Cariad for the last 8 years. I struggled tremendously when mum first had to go in full time care as I didn't believe anyone could look after mum the way I could. How wrong was I.
The staff at Ty Cariad go above and beyond to treat mum with the utmost dignity and
respect and are so affectionate with mum. This includes carers, dining staff, laundry services, etc, all knowing mum personally and will stop and chat or ask me how mum is.
Management are always approachable and willing to listen or just be there for us as family members as much as they are there for our loved ones, having their best interest at heart.
Thanks guys you're all amazing xxx

My mother has now been in Ty Cariad for 6 years. .
During that time she has been so well cared for. Her basic daily needs are met , even before she needs them. Never in 6 years has she had a pressure sore or breakdown of her skin.
The Gp visits whenever there is a need.
All the staff are so
lovely, welcoming and caring. The management are present daily and an open door policy is encouraged.
The nursing staff always update me on mums condition and phone to report any changes if the Gp has prescribed treatment. They support me through a difficult time.
The reception staff are so welcoming when you first arrive to visit.
The Laundry take care of mums clothes and they are always clean and returned to her room daily. The home is extremely clean.
The kitchen provide good nutritious meals and the residents are well feed.
For myself and family Ty Cariad is our home we share with Mum. We are always welcomed with a smile and a chat. Nothing is too much trouble. Thank you

My mother in-law has been a resident of Ty Cariad for the last eight years. This was something She never wanted, to end up in a care home. But unfortunately she has and I have to admit I personally think deep down inside her she is very happy. I think it had more of an impact on my Wife as she had
been looking after her the best she could.
I know myself & my wife are more than happy with the way Mum is looked after and is loved by every member of staff that are and have been employed at Ty Cariad. She is a special Lady and deserves the best, and I am pleased to say gets nothing but the best from everyone.
This gives us as a family a peace of mind knowing that she is well loved and cared for.
Thank you to everyone who is involved, you are all amazing people.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart

When you first walk into Ty Cariad, you see immediately how much the staff put in for the individuals and their visiting relatives.
There are colourful pictures made my the residents and staff, there are interactive pictures on the wall for relatives to add to.
The staff are always friendly,
welcoming, helpful and show amazing care to each individual in their care.
The beautiful garden is a treasure, the individuals can enjoy either with the carers or with visiting relatives.
I recently took my golden labrador to see my Aunty, she was overjoyed with his visit. It wasn't a problem for Ty Cariad, in fact they encourage it.

My Dad lived alone and started to be unsafe by himself, so when he moved to Ty Cariad it was such a relief. I researched all the local care homes in the area and visited Ty Cariad amongst others and found this one to be the right fit. The team made the transition really easy and he settled in
quickly. Time was spent with him ensuring he was happy.
The staff are amazing with Dad and he looks so well now. Put on a bit of weight and looks healthier. The menu is amazing and the food looks great and Dad is happy. Everywhere is very clean and his clothes are immaculate.
The entertainment is amazing and he's even been for a walk with a member of staff and her Labrador. He's gardening (big garden space), cooking, singing, and lots of other activities.
I am so happy knowing Dad is safe as I live abroad. I visit every few months and I have never felt so content.
A special thanks to the team from me. Everyone has helped my Dad and i am eternally grateful xxx

Ty Cariad really is a 'house of love'. The staff are kind, friendly and helpful. The home is managed brilliantly and the facilities are great. Mum has settled here really well. She enjoys having her hair done by the hairdresser and activities such as baking and planting. I feel so much peace
knowing mum is being cared for in safe, clean and comfortable surroundings.

My husband has been a resident for 6 years now. Over the years I've got to know all the staff and have a great relationship with them all from the managment, nurses, carers, laundry, cleaning and catering staff. They care for my husband as if he was a relative of theirs. Which is so reassuring for
me.
They are now his family and he's happy.

My sister has been a resident at Ty Cariad since September 2018. She was initially on Hafan Gele until her condition deteriorated, when she was moved across to Retreat.
The care received has always been first class and never once given any of the family cause for concern. The staff are attentive,
caring and affection with her, despite the hostility and bad temper that often greets them. She is actually very fond of them too when not feeling agitated. I think she sees them all now as her family, probably more so than us, and they definitely appear to know how to handle her various moods to make the most of any given situation. My only disappointment is, due to government rules on minimum width of a door as opposed to the minimum width of a bed, she is, to all intents and purposes, a prisoner in her room. She is unsafe to hoist - not the home's fault, but very frustrating given the wonderful lounge and balcony that she could have enjoyed. I have no hesitation in recommending Ty Cariad

My mother-in-law has advanced Alzheimers and has been resident in Ty Cariad for three months.
I have nothing but praise for the care she receives. Her room and the facilities provided are first class. More importantly though, is the love and care she receives from the staff at the home. They are
marvellous. Debbie and Cathy clearly provide excellent leadership, empathy and enthusiasm, and their team respond accordingly.
In challenging circumstances for my mother-in-law, she couldn't be in better hands!

When the Doctors decided that my wife required nursing home treatment last year I called into Ty Cariad, the Manageress gave me a full tour of Ty Cariad and i met a lot of staff. After my Wife settled in she involved herself in the activities that are available Inc dancing and sing-along with
visiting groups. She also enjoyed a lot of time with the activities coordinator Jasmine. To all the Ty Cariad staff Debbie and Kathy, Jess and all the Nurses and carers (I wish I could name you all) not forgetting the domestic team and reception my sincere thanks to you all for looking after my wife and the support you gave me.
