View Full Details of Woodlands LodgeThis my third experience at Woodlands Lodge. The first was to visit my wife here, where she resided for over twelve months. My second visit was for myself when i stayed for respite for over three months following an injury, staff and systems - including the food - were excellent. I was able to return home alone with a nearly new arm movement. I am current on a third stay is for respite care following an op at Hospital. Again, all staff and systems are top-notch. It says a great deal about a place of employment that many staff have been here since my wife's stay began in 2022. A great home and I would highly recommend Woodlands Lodge.
Mum has been a resident at Woodlands now for over 12 months. It is the most welcoming and friendly care home to both residents and their families making it feel like home for us all. Having the additional garden room facilities has been an absolute bonus to us as we are able to move straight outside to use her garden furniture, weather allowing. Standards are extremely high in all areas from care and cleanliness to the extensive and beautifully prepared meal options. Events team are brilliant and entertain residents & family with their daily activities plan. The hair salon is a huge bonus with weekly hairdressing appt a definite highlight of the week. Staff retention is extremely high underlining how happy and safe Woodlands is for all who spend time here. Thrilled it just happens to be close to home allowing daily visits when possible yet be confident of the excellent care mum will receive when we cannot get there. Woodlands: the perfect place with excellent facilities & staff!
My wife went into Woodlands Lodge in 2021 towards the end of Covid Outbreak. I was scared my wife (because of her condition) was not aware of the situation. She was content with everything that was provided. The staff put us both at ease and have always been so caring and kind to us both. My wife is never agitated, and is always smiling and chuckling. I am more at ease because I know she is being looked after so well.
Mum was admitted to Woodlands after a fall when she was exhausted, distressed and in severe pain. From day 1, the manager and staff welcomed her warmly and reassured her. Her pain was quickly managed and in a short time, thanks to the care and attention of staff, she began to thrive. 'Respite' has now become 'permanent'. Mum is very happy. An excellent care home - and welcoming to visitors!
My aunty is looked after by amazing staff and cared for and supported 24hrs a day for all her needs. She is treated with dignity and love. Her needs are met with her eating requirements. She enjoys the activities and singing. We know she is cared for and safe.
The care that my dad gets is excellent. The entertainment is excellent. We know he is safe and well looked after.
My husband has been a resident at Woodlands Lodge for almost 4 years. From day one, we have experienced excellent service on every level. I visit my husband every day at various times during the day, including late into the evening, so I see all the staff during that time. The quality of care and support is consistently excellent at all times. I am delighted with the staff and facilities. I couldn't wish for my husband to be in a better place.
Ever since my dad moved into Woodlands, I have nothing but praise; all the staff are just fantastic, especially the entertainment staff. Nothing is too much trouble and every single staff member always has a smile on their face. Would recommend Woodlands to anyone. :)
My uncle has improved so much in the time he has been here. He has put weight on, improved mentally, attends all activities and is now interested in what is going on around him. He loves it here.
The home is very friendly, and the staff are very good with my aunt - she particularly likes her visits off a particular staff member. She has settled in very well and likes her garden room.
My dad has lived here for 2 years, the place is beautiful; his room is so cosy and homely. The staff are the greatest, the love and care they give my dad is amazing. The entertainment is fabulous, they do so much to make my dad happy, we are so happy to know he is here and safe. The staff are just wonderful to us all as well, he is a happy man being here.
Efficent management & friendly and considerate staff.
My sister and brother-in-law came to Woodlands in August 2023 and their time there has not only seen a great improvement in their general health but the attention they have received has been exemplary.
My cousin entered Woodlands Residential Home after a long period in hospital. She took a long time to adjust from leaving her home. She refused to eat in the dining room and preferred to stay in her room. I must praise the staff for their patience and consideration of her needs. Now my cousin is joining in some activities and eating in the dining room. The staff appreciate her need to have quiet time on her own. The house is always immaculately clean and my cousin is always looked after well. I am very satisfied with the care she receives.
Nice atmosphere, staff friendly and kind and polite and look after residents with his needs really well. Treated with dignity and respect. Meals very good, nicely prepared and arranged.
Woodlands Lodge is a lovely care home. Staff are amazing, all so caring with the residents and families/visitors. Very clean and bright environment. Would certainly recommend this home to family and friends.
Everything top class.
My husband has been at Woodlands Lodge for almost 2 years. I am very happy with the care provided and cannot fault the nurses and carers for their patience and care. The atmosphere in the care home is very good - friendly and pleasant. My family think my husband is very lucky to be there. They provide all that is required for his needs. They communicate very well with relatives of residents.
My father came in for dementia care for two weeks while I was away. The staff kept me up to date, via messages, at all times. They were cheerful and helpful - consummate professionals in fact. My father settled quickly and became a favourite in his short time here. On his last day, developing an illness requiring a visit to A&E, the staff were quick to respond and supportive at all stages. Would highly recommend.
The staff were excellent, friendly and caring. They were very diligent when our family member had a medical issue and I felt he was in good hands. Services and facilities were of a good standard - clean and tidy. My grandfather enjoyed his stay and we intend to use Woodlands Lodge again!
