Our mother has had a terrible time with hip and pelvic fractures due to falls. She has been treated with great kindness and professionalism since her arrival at Mountbatten Grange. A lovely team of dedicated people who make her comfort and care a priority.
I am sure that my stay at the home has helped with my recovery and also gave my husband piece of mind because because he knew I was safely being cared for after for after my knee operation and that medication was supervised and that the correct treatment dose given to me even in the middle of of the night when I was in pain. Lovely's lovely friendly staff who couldn't have done more to welcome my family and and myself during my 2 weeks stay.
The service we have received from Mountbatten Grange has been exceptional. All staff have been very supportive to my Mum and my family at a very stressful and emotional time. They have made the very difficult decision of putting my Mum into care, worry free and have continued to be extremely supportive whilst Mum settles in. We can not thank all staff enough for their compassion and understanding. Nothing is a problem and the staff go out of their way to accommodate as much as possible.
The staff are very friendly and accommodating and nothing is too much trouble I am impressed with the care home overall plus the cafe for coffee and cake for visitors is a fantastic idea as you can feel part of the community.
A short stay for my wife while I was away seemed to work well, and she seemed happy and relaxed when I picked her up. The management and staff were very welcoming throughout the process, so thanks to all involved.
Found the majority of aspects of the home first class.
My mother moved to Mountbatten Grange 2 1/2 years ago, and since then her dementia has progressed significantly. A couple of months ago she was moved to the Nursing Dementia floor and, for her own safety, now requires 1-2-1 care. Throughout her residence, she has been treated with such loving care, that it warms my heart to know she is in the best hands. She is registered blind and so my concern was that she would be left alone to live in a bubble of isolation, but the care staff seem to see who she is inside and often joke with her, so that, in her lucid moments, she smiles and seems happy. I can't ask for any more than that. This atmosphere would not be possible if it were not cascaded down from the management. I am always amazed to note that, as well as being responsible for the day-to -day running of the home, they make it their business to know the condition of each resident and can always tell me how my mother is doing that day. It is without doubt the best care home in our area.
Dad needed some respite care after losing our mum, I can honestly say the staff at Mountbatten have been absolutely fantastic and their care and kindness has helped him get through a difficult time. It was a great relief to know that dad was being well looked after and had company if and when he wanted. He actually extended his stay as he felt so at home. You can really tell the staff are genuine and they made us and my dad feel so welcome. if dad ever needs to go into respite again, he would definitely be very happy to go back to Mountbatten Grange. All the other residents that I spoke to all seemed to be happy and enjoying themselves, it has such a good atmosphere and my initial gut instinct when I was shown round was spot on. The facilities on each floor are excellent with a lounge, restaurant, cinema room, hairdressers and a coffee lounge which has fresh coffee and cakes and savoury treats that the residents and visitors are encouraged to help themselves to. Thanks to all the staff
We cannot speak highly enough of the care and love that our Mother received in the last five years at Mountbatten Grange Windsor . Sadly Mum passed this month but the care love and support she and we received was exemplary. Thank you to everyone at Windsor.
I am extremely happy with the care shown to my mother during her recent stay. The staff are all lovely, very kind and caring. We are made to feel most welcome when we visit, and the other residents all appear to be very happy and content. I wouldn't hesitate to arrange another visit for my mother when the opportunity arises. Thank you to everyone.
My mother has been in the home for over two years. She absolutely loves it there and enjoys the food and the company very much. Her care is very good and she is always appears very happy on my visit. She has been out on many occasions to various places and always enjoys being part of any entertainment that is laid on for the residents.
I'd never had any dealings with any type of care home before my mother was taken into Mountbatten Grange. I have found all the staff to be very welcoming and friendly to all residents and their families, they always greet you with big smiles. And how they remember everyone's name I don't know. I have found them to be very helpful and ready to answer any questions. The place is always clean and tidy, both the residents rooms and the common areas are all kept spotless.
The palliative care my sister receives at the care home was absolutely incredible! We could never have imagined such a wonderful experience. The management and staff were absolutely amazing - so polite, considerate, professional, and informative. They went above and beyond to help us cope with the loss of a loved one, which was a really tough time for us.
I was at Mountbatten Grange for one week post hip replacement on crutches. I had a great ground floor bright room giving me access is everything I needed including the garden. The staff were friendly, welcoming, respectful and kind as were the residents. I needed help with a health hitch and the nurses were helpful and reassuring during the night. The food was good, lots of choice, the sea bass was really good. My family were able to visit and said it had a lovely atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble and I would certainly recommend MG to anyone in my situation and would go back if I ever needed their services again.
My mother passed away in Mountbatten Grange in December leaving my father, who is also a resident. I cannot fault the care that my mother was given. It enabled her to have the most dignified death. Since mum died the staff's care of my father has been incredible and he has been so well supported. That care and support has been also extended us as dad's wider family. The care home provides a safe environment where residents are enjoying living. Mountbatten grange should be used as an example of good practice to all such settings.
The team at Mountbatten Grange are always friendly and welcoming. The environment is peaceful and very well kept with lots of attention to detail - we always enjoy the freshly made cakes in the cafe area!! Rooms are spacious and well decorated and feel like someone's home rather than a clinical space. Gran has become brighter and more chatty since moving in and we have peace of mind she is well cared for.
Mountbatten Grange is a wonderful place ! My mum has been a resident here for a couple of months now and I have nothing but praise for all aspects of her stay from the surroundings, cleanliness, food and care . Everyone is so lovely it really makes it feel like home from home
My sister became a cherished resident in Mountbatten Grange in October 2024. We, (her family) were uncertain how she would settle in her new home, having had one to one care in her own home for several years. But, from day one her arrival was a great success, both for her and her anxious family. She was charmed by the activities and stimulation. Her medical needs were monitored weekly (and more frequently when needed.) Her usual routine of little treats was maintained and her hair and nails, always so important to the glamorous lady that she was, were also monitored meticulously. Because of her progressing dementia, she could not handle incoming calls from members of family and so we had to rely on the staff in Mountbatten to keep us fully informed. No matter how often we phoned, regardless of timing, queries were always addressed with friendliness, good humour and caring comments. This was a great comfort to us as a family.
We needed a care home quite quickly in Windsor for about 3 months. Mountbatten Grange isn't cheap by any means however it's a few notches up in terms of surroundings, decor and furnishings. It's a posh care home without a doubt! All of this is of course a consideration but not anywhere as important as the personal interaction that my mum would be receiving from the staff. The question is do the carers and staff really care? Well, when my mum finally left Mountbatten Grange there were tears not just from my mum but the staff as well and that tells you all you need to know. The staff are brilliant and they and the home come with a 5-star recommendation from me, no question!
