View Full Details of Fairfield Manor Care HomeMy mother in law has been living at Fairfield manor for the last 5 years and she is very happy, albeit her dementia journey has deteriorated. It has always been very important for her to be smart, have her hair done, jewellery on and this continues everyday. She is always dressed smartly and the carers take time with her. She still has a good appetite and enjoys the varied menu. She loves to join in with the activities and loves a good sing song! As a family we enjoy coming to visit. The Bistro is such a social area for everyone to come together for a coffee or to join in with the activities.
My father came in on respite for 6 weeks. On week 4 he decided to permanently move here as he said lovely atmosphere more here as he sad lovely atmosphere. The staff are brilliant friendly and look after him so well. Every time I visit dad all the staff seem happy and nothing is too much trouble. This includes staff in office, receptionists, carers and activity staff. Dad likes plain food and staff know his likes and dislikes. I can relax and know dad is safe.
The staff are the most helpful and ready to help.
Every single worker member of staff showed exceptional care, compassion and dignity for my mum. Its hard to put into words how much the support meant. From the moment she arrived we felt she was not just well looked after but truly cared for. It was clear that every resident is treated with genuine affection and respect. Whether it was the gentle attentiveness of the carers or nursing staff. The gentle encouragement from the activity team, the thoughtful meals from the kitchen team, or the clean comforting environment maintained by housekeeping, no role has gone unnoticed. You created a space where we could be with her without worrying about anything else. Thank you for giving us the peace to focus on being with her and the quiet strength and kindness you offered us.
Exceptionally kind and caring staff doing a fantastic job in often challenging circumstances. My mother has been a resident for over 18 months. She has improved dramatically and was bed-bound (with full nursing required) when she arrived. She is now able to leave her room, eat meals in the dining room, and participate in the various social activities organised. As a family, we feel very well supported.
Generally care home is okay but owner changed. Now they do more profit for their business rather than looking after residence. For example, toilet rolls they used to use much better one. Now discounted very cheap materials, no wipes, cleaning products around tables, toilet. Really saving materials around home. They do not change as often as bedding, towels. We are not so happy compared with when my friend got in.
I have been visiting this care home since August 2020. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the interior is furnished to a high standard. The only complaints I hear from my resident is that the food and menu is not as varied as it was up to last year and that she struggles to pick from the daily menu. However, my resident only likes typical English food and struggles with foreign type meals. My client does remain in her room permanently so can feel isolated at times. She does not participate in any activities by choice.
Fairfield home is like a family; the staff are very welcoming, the management are extremely professional, and the nursing care team are very experienced and caring. My Dad has been there for three years now, and he is very happy.
I have experience of the Care Home for the past 4 years and would have to admit that it was excellent when it first opened but it has slowly gone downhill over the last couple of years. As the home added more residents it would appear the staff are really stretched at times and do not appear to have much time for each resident. The food would appear not to be as good over the past year.
The room resembles a hotel room and is very comfortable. The staff are friendly and accommodating to the individual needs, nothing is too much trouble. The best advice I can give is to come and see the home yourself and you will be surprised at what it can offer.
The care and support my father (and I) received in his final weeks has been exceptionally caring, supportive and professional.
Excellent care for mum with lovely warm friendly and professional staff.
What a wonderful place! Today is my nans 95th birthday and they have gathered the residents in the bistro for tea and cake! Lovely team, with lovely facilities. Nan could not be happier.
Since my mum arrived in May 2024 she has been treated with care and affection by every individual member of staff. Her room is light and spacious and kept beautifully clean. The restaurant is lovely and she is given a good choice of menu daily. The activities team work very hard to provide a good selection of activities and they encourage mum to join in. The bistro is bright and welcoming too and a nice place for the family to meet. Every time I visit morning afternoon and evening the home is welcoming and friendly I cannot fault it thank you (apart from the price obviously)
We have all been made so welcome and part of the Fairfield Manor family. The facilities and staff are amazing. Thank you to everyone especially one staff member in particular for making it such a smooth transition for my mother in law.
Every member of staff is very polite and nothing is too much trouble. They look after relatives as well as clients with respect and care.
Great facilities, wonderful staff, great attitude by all 10/10. My uncle is so happy living here.
Treated with a warm welcome, this should be the flagship standard of all care homes.
We are really pleased with the care and service my mum is receiving. It is a beautiful home and mum is happy there. The staff are kind and caring and the facilities are excellent too. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone. All round everything is exceptional.
Top-notch care has consistently been provided for my mother. Staff go above and beyond in all that they do. This includes care staff, domestic staff and nurses. The staff also ensure that plenty of enjoyable activities are provided and they will always ensure that attendance is facilitated if that is what the individual wants. I would highly recommend this care home to everyone
