I found Brook House, to be clean & all the staff friendly. Any queries were dealt with promptly. The staff are on hand & most of the time are with the cared for who all seem very happy. The rooms are spacious & mum has enjoyed her week despite. I am happy & feel it is a safe environment.
I had to spend 2 full days facilitating on a residential course. My wife has Alzhiemer's and Brook House kindly agreed to care for her while I was working away. From the moment of arrival, she was made very welcome and felt an atmosphere of kindness. A quote from my wife: "During my time in Brook House, I was impressed by the generosity of staff to my request for help."
Brook House has provided an exceptional level of care for my mother following her fall at home in September. From the friendly faces on arrival as a visitor to the efficiency of the management team, from the kindness of the carers to the professionalism of the nursing staff I have nothing but praise for all of those that I have encountered. The staff have made sure that my mother's stay at Brook House has been as comfortable as possible and nothing has been too much trouble.
I have attended Brook House a number of times to visit my father in law. The site and residents always seem so happy. The on site activities are always under taken with such enthusiasm, I have been really impressed with the team support & knowledge on funding and support. My wife and mother in law are so much more relaxed and Brook and the team have made this happen - thank you
My husband who suffers from Dementia and Alzheimer's, moved into Brook House at the end of March. The staff have been terrific from day one ... caring not only for my husband but for the wider family. They totally understand what it is like to see a loved one fade away from you ... no longer being the person he was. Their care for him both physically and mentaly is second to none. The facilities are great and the residents have so many activities laid on for them. Placing a loved on in a carehome is not easy, but I am so pleased that we chose Brook House.
My dad visited for respite before moving permanently. Every member of staff has ensured that this move has been as smooth as possible, not only for my dad but for my mum and infact the whole of our family. When visiting dad, staff always go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and give you any updates as needed. There is a real sense of community. My dad has dementia and the staff not only manage his needs well but are also aware when I have had a difficult visit and offer comfort and support. There is always something going on and residents are encouraged to take part - the residents evidently care about each other too - which I can only put down to the social interactions enjoyed through shared experiences. The Brook House team care not only for their residents but for the residents families too. I have rated rooms 4/5 only on personal preference. They are a spacious and always clean just understandably lack colour.
The team have been fantastic... Very patient, they've taken the time to explain all that would happen when my mother went in to stay and she has been made to feel very welcome. In addition, all the staff I've met and spoken too have always been very polite and made a real effort to help Mum, and I to feel at home... Thank you..
Our friend was a resident in Brook House for approximately four and half years. Over that time we visited her regularly as she was our son in laws mother and very dear friend and family member. We have always been impressed by the daily and nursing care given to her as well s the friendliness extended to us and to her. We congratulate the staff on an excellent job well done.
Our family could never thank the staff at Brook House enough. The care they give our mother is first class. Lovely staff always friendly and laughing making sure everyone is looked after, nothing is to much trouble. How lucky we are to have the best people ever to look after mum.
When I first viewed Brook House I almost cried, I knew straight away that it was the ideal place for my mother. It ticked every box and a few more. Every member of staff that I met were so caring and friendly and helped me realize how much happier my mum would be. My mother has now been there 10 days and has settled in so well, joining in the activities and eating her lunch in the dining room. She is no longer lonely and agrees with me that Brook House is her lovely new home. The staff are always there for both my mum and myself. Making me feel welcome to visit anytime, nothing is too much trouble. All I can say is - thank you to you all from my mother and myself.
After a month in hospital I went to Brook House for respite care. After 4 weeks I renewed for a further 4, after which I was ready to return home with help from a part time carer. During this time I was helped to regain fitness and independence. I cannot fault the staff who were all so kind and supportive. Special celebrations and activities were arranged for Christmas, New Year, my birthday and other anniversaries.
My Mum had a spell of respite care in Brook House following surgery. She was made so welcome and was extremely relaxed and comfortable during her stay. This warm feeling extends to relatives and visitors and it was a pleasure to call in. The staff reacted really quickly and professionally when a post operative complication occurred and Mum was really looked after at a frightening time for her. Brook House has a real family feel and truly does feel like the residents 'home'. Mum is now back in her own home, much stronger and more confident after her stay.
My mother arrived at Brook House for respite care following a hip replacement operation. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming that they made the whole experience a positive one for all the family There is a homely and comfortable feel which meant that following a post op complication and a further stay in hospital my mother was more than keen to return for an extra spell of respite. She has made some very dear friends who were both residents and staff and intends to maintain contact and visit often. Thank you to everyone at BH
Brook House is an exceptional care home. From the very first cheery welcome, we know that it was the right place for our Dad. Everyone who works there is so kind, caring and professional. They took the time to get to know him and treated him with compassion and the utmost dignity and respect. It was a joy to visit him too. His room felt like home and the decor is bright and cheerful. The daily activities are fantastic - a lot of thought goes into them. We celebrated Dad's 91st birthday in the private dining room - great food and a lovely day. The bistro area is a relaxing place to enjoy a drink with your loved one and the garden is beautiful. Dad enjoyed his walks there. The manager and her team helped us too, providing great support and guidance. They made a sometimes stressful situation better as nothing was too much trouble and we are truly grateful for that. They always made us feel so welcome and always listened. We can't thank them enough.
I cannot speak highly enough of Brook House. I had two visits to Brook House 2weeks in January and after 10 days in Hospital 1week in February. The overall feeling of care, support and the homely feeling that the staff give is beyond anything I have felt in any other homes that, over the years, I have visited. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Brook House in the future.
From the moment you arrive, you are made to feel welcome with a smile and a greeting, the atmosphere is fantastic, I haven't seen any sad faces, all the residents are happy, cheerful and speak to you. The facilities are superb, along with all the staff but most of all, my sister is happy and well looked after. "Brilliant".
First impression when coming to view Brook House, when I first entered and the doors opened, the welcome and the feeling of love and care surrounded us before we met any of the staff. So very different from all the other care home I looked at for my husband. The management and her deputy greeted me and I felt enveloped with love, care and support straight away and understood with the difficult time we were both facing. I feel now there is a future and Brook House has become our family.
Brook House is a very well-run care home in Towcester. The staff are very professional, all residents are treated with the utmost respect and dignity. Meals are on par with hotel food. Recently, there was a 60s show for the residents, put on by a member of staff. Fabulous evening, everybody really enjoyed themselves. It's a joy to visit here.
Whilst looking for a care home for my wife who has fairly complex needs following a stroke, I approached Brook House and found them very helpful with advice and information. I was also very impressed with the facilities and care offered. My wife subsequently moved into Brook House in the middle of October and is settling in well. The staff are very friendly but also professional and I have so far not been disappointed with the way my wife is being cared for at all. The home provides many activities for residents which only adds to the homely and welcoming atmosphere.
A close friend moved into the home and she is very happy with the care and support she is given. All the staff are happy and friendly and we are always given a warm welcome. The manager, deputy and the team go above and beyond in ensuring the home is well staffed, clean, great food and always a variety of activities! We can't thank the team enough for giving our friend happiness again.
