My mother has been in Elsyng House now for a few months. I cannot thank all the staff enough for the care they give my mother whose behaviour has become challenging due to her dementia. There are always plenty of staff to support the residents and there is always a cleaner on duty (the care home is exceptional clean and does not smell). There are daily activities and trips. I am always able to contact staff members with any questions. There is a lovely garden that my Mum enjoys sitting in. Maybe providing some homemade cakes or sandwiches might be nice, especially when visitors spend time with their family members in the communal area.
The decision to move Mum into a care home was incredibly difficult but the moment we stepped into Elsyng we knew it was the right place. A year on, we've never looked back. The home is warm and welcoming. The reception area has a beautifully decorated Bistro where residents and families can mix, creating a genuine sense of community. We've made some meaningful friendships there. Mum lives on the Memory floor and the décor is tasteful and homely, especially in the lounges. Everywhere is spotless. What truly makes Elsyng special is the staff. Mum's carers are compassionate and take a real interest in her. They chat with us about her routine and what she's been up to. All staff (from reception and hospitality to housekeeping and maintenance) are friendly, approachable, and caring. We enjoy following Elsyng's social media updates and love seeing Mum taking part in activities like trips to Forty Hall. Thank you, Elsyng, for providing Mum with a safe, loving home where she can truly thrive.
I have been visiting my friend Don over the last 3 years. During that period I have been amazed at the attention and care all the residents receive each and every day. Special mention to Margaret on reception who makes all your visitors most welcome. Your care staff go more than above expectations and do so with love and enthusiasm.
My darling mum has moved into Elsyng after a very long battle with Parkinson's. The Elsyng staff couldn't have made it easier they are so warm and welcoming. Special shout out to Camala who is Mums main carer as she has one to one and Jericho, Edwin and Angela who are all so supportive and kind. They treat mum with dignity and respect. Camala is interested in our mum and takes time to listen to her and engage with her. She is so kind and supportive. All the staff are gentle which reassures me.
Very happy with mum's care, the staff are always very kind and attentive. We had a lovely family lunch which we really enjoyed, such a bonus as mum isn't well enough to go out anymore. Thanks so much
My husband has only been in Elsyng House for ten days but I can already see that it is a good place for him. He is well looked after, his clothes are clean and he looks content. The staff are amazing. They are friendly and attentive. They seem to be everywhere, keeping their eye on the residents and making sure they are all okay. His room is spotless and warm. The home feels very friendly and has a home-like atmosphere. I am happy I chose this home for him and can relax, knowing he is going to be well cared for there.
My wife was cared for extremely well. She stayed at the care home for approx 12 weeks recovering from a fracture in her neck. The home itself was friendly, staff excellent and the food was plentiful and nice. Guests are welcomed and there is a genuine communal feel. I can't recommend the home enough
My mum came to Elsyng House for rehab after a serious fall that broke her spine and neck. From day one, the staff were incredibly kind, caring, and always greeted us with warm smiles. The home feels more like a 5-star hotel-cozy rooms, a beautiful garden, and thoughtful touches like teas, coffees, and biscuits for visitors. Entertainment is offered for residents, and the staff clearly enjoy joining in too. The atmosphere is uplifting and full of compassion. Thanks to their care, my mum's stay was a positive experience during a tough time. She's now home, but we'll definitely be visiting again to see the lovely staff and friends she made. I can't thank Elsyng House enough, it's a shining example of what care should look like.
My experience is my sister-in-law is shown care, kindness, patience, time, love, support, safety compassion, dignity. It is a friendly welcoming home and all the staff and management and receptionists are outstanding. They treat all residents with so much care. This is the home she deserves. It is spotless and the facilities are amazing. I go at different times to see my sister-in-law and she is always take care of in a loving way. They treat you like family. 10/10 service.
I cannot praise this care home highly enough. From the moment you walk in, there's a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are not only professional but also genuinely caring and compassionate, treating residents with dignity and respect at all times. The home is always clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully decorated, creating a comfortable and homely environment. The activities are engaging and varied, ensuring residents stay active, stimulated, and socially connected. What stands out most is the dedication of the team ,they go above and beyond to make sure residents feel safe, happy, and valued. It gives me real peace of mind knowing my loved one is in such capable and caring hands
My relation was warmly welcomed by staff and has since been well cared for. The facilities are new and therefore of a high standard and it generally appears more like a hotel than a care home. The dining rooms have been attractively furnished and the service is welcoming. Meals are varied and a good standard of catering. Any issues raised are listened to, but not always resolved and the management structure is not readily advertised for reference, to enable a satisfactory solution. Visitors are welcomed, the coffee machine well used and appreciated! Activities are varied which attract a number of residents, and other various ideas could be considered. Good facilities are provided in the garden which encourages residents to sit outside. Perhaps residents could be involved in the choice and care of the planting, as a stimulation for them?
Elsyng House has proved to be an excellent choice for my mother. The admission process was quick and very professional, providing all the necessary information to complete a smooth transition. In their dealings with my mother and family, all staff are courteous, efficient, friendly and professional. Rooms are very well appointed and the general condition of the Home is that of a top quality hotel. Mum has joined in with and thoroughly enjoyed many the activities on offer. The Family have all commented that mum is the happiest that she has been for many years.
Following two unsatisfactory stays in other nursing homes we found Elsyng House. It has everything we were looking for our mother. As it turned out she would only spend one week here before passing away. All the staff treated her with kindness and professionalism and allowed her to keep a sense of dignity right up until the end.
My dad was lucky enough to have been placed here. We were extremely happy. The place is beautiful. I described it as 5 * hotel. Unfortunately, my dad was only here for four days before he passed away comfortably. Thank you.
My mum, who was healthy had a bleed on the brain which required a major operation. During the diagnostic process she was discovered to have cancer of the bone marrow. The transfer for us as a family was challenging, but Elsyng supported us in this and she is being well cared for. We had an initial meeting and found the home to be a caring environment. All mum's needs are being met with dignity and she is enjoying the food. Thank you.
Everything is very good and everyone is very kind and helpful. Very attentive to resident and family when visiting. Although my friend was reluctant to go into residential care, he was very happy here and the end of life care to him was excellent. It was very calm and peaceful, couldn't praise everyone enough. I would highly recommend the home.
The staff at Elsyng House are without exception so kind, caring and welcoming. My mother has sadly been declining in health but I know that she is very well looked after here. Her room is perfect as it is spacious enough to accommodate walking aids and the bathroom has also been well designed for the disabled. My mother is reluctant to try new things due to her ongoing condition but residents regularly enjoy visits from musical performers and other innovations, like the animal visitors. I think this is a very important area to pursue along with the more straightforward in house entertainments such as art and discussion groups and local outings where possible.
Elsyng House is beautiful and clean and all the staff are wonderful, friendly and caring to my mother and myself. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff are always there to help when needed. The house is to a high standard and maintains a lovely warm atmosphere and always very welcoming. My mother has lived there for 2 years now and I honestly feel we are all one big family. I could not wish for a better place for my lovely mum and mother-in-law to live in with such lovely residents and staff. Highly recommended.
What a lovely place to be. I wish all my holiday hotels were as nice as Elsyng. While I know Mum would rather be "back at home" her care needs made this impossible. She's made new friends and there's always something going on if you want to join in. Her room is lovely and it's been personalised with some of her own things. The staff are universally friendly and considerate, the food always looks fabulous and I know Mum is well cared for and safe.
As always, very happy with the way Elsyng cares for my dad. From management to carers they are all very friendly and helpful. Two members of staff, in particular, do a great job in looking after Dad. Always greeted by reception and other staff. Standards high. Rooms and ensuites always clean. Can always talk to the nursing staff regarding medical issues and they are always helpful.
