Edwalton is an absolutely fantastic care setting. Both my parents loved their time in respite care there. The food is great, the place is modern, spotlessly clean and tidy with lots of great facilities. The main thing though is the staff who are just wonderful, patient, caring, friendly, I couldn't
be more impressed overall. Thank you.

My Mum lived at Edwalton Manor for 16 months. Although she was reluctant to leave her own home Mum found herself settling in surprisingly quickly and this became a positive new chapter in Mum's life. She was valued for herself, and her determination to maintain her independence for as long as
possible was actively encouraged. The staff were kind, patient, reassuring and enabling. There was always an interesting programme of activities and events on offer including active engagement with the wider community. Mum was also helped to continue with the activities she had been involved in before she moved into the Manor. The Bistro became an important part of Mum's life - a place to relax in company, meeting up with old and new friends. When Mum began to need nursing care she was able to simply move up a floor. When it came to the end of Mum's life she was enabled to have a 'good death'. She was surrounded by loving staff who made sure she was as comfortable as possible. Thankyou all.

Following a fall, we were looking for a care home for mum for respite care, initially, possibly moving to longer term later. From the very first contact all of the staff were responsive, kind and caring. They clearly all feel passionately about the care of the residents and made the transition from
home to care home as smooth and as painless as possible which was very much appreciated at the time, and still is. The staff all worked hard to help mum settle in and she now has friends, new interests and activities and is leading a full life and is happy, which is the most important thing. And we know that she is safe and in good hands. We get regularly reports on health matters and we know that if anything did happen we would be told immediately and she would be looked after. We recommend Edwalton Manor without reservation to anyone looking for a modern caring environment where the residents are really looked after and cared for.

It was one of the most difficult decisions I've ever had to make when we decided mum needed full time care. Edwalton Manor proved to be the furthest from my conception of what a care home was like. I cannot fault the care and compassion edwalton manor gave to mum in her final years. Many of the
staff were the same as when she started which also says a lot in an industry where staff turnover is usually high.
The staff are respectful, extremely caring and nothing was ever too much for them. We were always made to feel welcome and inclusive in mums care. Mum passed away peacefully in what felt like her home.
05 June 2026
I think that my predominant feelings relate to the staff. I was cared for in superlative fashion but it was observing the care given to dementia residents which impressed me even more. I know, from personal experience, how difficult this can be, and, to my mind, treatment was faultless.
After 2 or
3 days, when I was in the throes of post-op treatment (and I had so much help), I really enjoyed my time.

We selected Edwalton Manor for mum as it was clear from our visit that the level of care and facilities were excellent. She was made to feel welcome and the staff do everything to meet her needs. They are kind and attentive, and make family to feel as welcome. Mum is eating well and her medical
needs are looked after. I cannot recommend Edwalton Manor more highly.

I cannot speak highly enough about this nursing home. From the moment you walk through the doors, there is a genuine sense of warmth, compassion, and professionalism that sets it apart.
The staff are truly exceptional-kind, attentive, and deeply committed to the well-being of every resident.
It's clear that they go above and beyond, treating residents like family rather than just patients.
The facilities are clean, comfortable and welcoming. There are plenty of engaging activities, which help residents stay active, social, and mentally stimulated. The meals are also well-prepared, nutritious, and cater to a variety of dietary needs.
Overall, this nursing home exemplifies excellence in every aspect-care, environment, and compassion. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a safe, supportive, and nurturing place for their loved ones.

We looked at a number of homes for my mother-in-law but none could match Edwalton in terms of the excellent standard of care and still feeling like a welcoming home. There's far too many ways that deserve mentioning from the lovely rooms, the facilities, the food and especially the staff who are so
caring. But it's the little details that make this place truly special. The staff take the time to know everyone, the residents but also their guests. They spend quality time with residents, even if it's just a chat while painting nails or with a cup of tea. You can tell how welcoming it is as there are always families, grandchildren popping in to see residents and chatting. There are multiple areas if you wish to spend time with your relatives privately but also a lovely Cafe downstairs with a great atmosphere so it's easy to feel like you have gone out for coffee and chat too if you prefer. Edwalton is the first home I would see if you are considering resident care as its by far the best.

Finding a care home for my mother was particularly challenging since I live abroad and we wanted somewhere that had strengths in dementia and clinical care. After reviewing online details and reviews, Edwalton Manor stood out. However even the online details don't do Edwalton justice. They have an
amazing ability to provide the clinical care that my mother needs while making her feel like she is in a 5 star hotel. The staffing levels are such that, in addition to taking care of my mothers daily needs, the staff actually have time to interact 1:1 with her on fun stuff as well. It is clear that they actually know my mum and are happy in their jobs which I am sure is due to the great work environment and the excellent culture management fosters. Both my mother and I can't speak highly enough of Edwalton Manor, it is without doubt the best care home I have seen in the area.

Edwalton Manor is fabulous. It is such a relief to know that my Mother is being cared for with such wonderful compassion and attention to detail. All the many and varied staff are incredibly professional as well as being most friendly, helpful and kind. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is
done to ensure my Mother enjoys living there. The facilities are outstanding and the environment both beautiful and spotless. Every detail has been so well thought out, even down to the Daily Sparkle news sheet and the fresh flowers. It is also a joy to visit, as friends and family are made most welcome and the bistro is a great place to enjoy coffee and cake. My Mother also really appreciates the garden, accessible from her own French door, where she walks everyday. It is truly five star.

place.

Edwalton Manor has been absolutely outstanding. The staff are truly amazing-warm, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile. My mum is so happy there, and seeing her smile every day brings me so much peace of mind.
She is always dressed immaculately, and the
whole place feels like a 5-star hotel rather than a care home. The luxurious carpets, beautifully designed lounges, and spotless surroundings create such a welcoming and elegant atmosphere.
The range of activities is excellent, and Mum loves taking part. The cinema, bistro, and hair salon make it feel like a little community where there's always something to enjoy.
Edwalton Manor has exceeded every expectation. I couldn't be more grateful for the exceptional care they provide.

It has been such a relief to see my friend J settle into her new life at Edwalton Manor. She had endured many months in various hospitals and she realised herself she was sadly unable to return to independent living.
We did a lot of research into various nursing and residential homes; Edwalton
Manor was our first choice. Louise the CRM showed us around and was clearly genuinely interested in J's life, her emotional and spiritual requirements as well as her physical needs.
The facilities are immaculate and it is a safe environment where J is able to flourish. She is treated with kindness and respect. During her time is hospital she became very withdrawn and depressed. It is moving to see such a profound difference and to see her smiling and happy again Thank you.

Edwalton is not only a lovely place to live, which is bright, very homely and has a really great feel of the place, the staff and level of care is excellent.
There are lots of social events for residence to engage with and the quality of the food is 2nd to none, with a great choice but also
alternatives if the days options don't quite meet the needs.

All the employees of Edwalton Manor were wonderful from the moment we met. Thanks to Louise and Julie for getting mum a space quickly. All the carers were delightful and attentive. Special mention to Sofia! Missing you all already!

A dear friend of mine moved into Edwalton Manor towards the end of her life, she spent six months firstly in independent living then nursing care when it was required.
She was treated with dignity, given first class care and made many personal connections with the home makers and nursing staff
who she valued greatly.
Thank you for looking after her, it means a lot.

Edwalton Manor has been absolutely exceptional. My mother-in-law, Pam, is so happy there, and it's wonderful to see how settled and content she feels.
The team creates a genuinely welcoming and uplifting environment, with a wide range of activities that keep residents engaged, active, and smiling.
She loves the darts, boules, dancing and it was really amazing to see everyone interacting with the rabbits, chicken guinea pigs that visit
She has also made some wonderful friends and we really genuinely enjoy visiting her - great cakes and coffee in the bistro
The home feels incredibly safe, and the staff's patience, kindness, and genuine care shine through in everything they do. It gives our family such peace of mind knowing Pam is surrounded by people who truly look after her.
We couldn't be more grateful for the amazing care she receives. Highly recommended

The modern airy well designed building has all the facilities necessary for a contented life. The friendly helpful staff are there for your every need with a smile and a chat. The community spirit is fostered with activities that can involve everyone, the bistro area is fine for having a drink and
chatting to the other residents. The rooms are airy and spacious and made more homely with the addition of personal items. My sister thinks she is in a very good hotel and to some extent she is, but that is the norm there. Nothing is too much trouble and they are always there to help

Mum and Dad moved into Edwalton Manor in August, initially on respite, moving to full time after the initial two months.
From first enquiry to moving in, the team were great to deal with -- with Louise making the process as easy as possible for us.
Mum and Dad have settled well and this has
taken a huge weight off my shoulders -- knowing they are safe now 24*7.
Having both parents move into Edwalton Manor at once is an unusual situation -- but the way the team were able to handle our specific needs was a big reason for going with them.
I've just returned from coffee with Mum this morning and it's great to see her so much more settled than how we were in the Spring / Summer !

This superb care home was unlike any of the others that my family looked at when searching looking for an appropriate home for my 100 year old father. A modern build with a superior quality hotel feel to it, and providing personalised, professional and friendly care for all its residents at the
forefront of its offering. If I needed to move to a care home, there is no doubt it would be here!
