Dad spent just over two weeks in Cuttlebrook Hall. The intention was to be there permanently but we had to remove him as he got quite distressed being away from his home and garden, therefore alternative plans are now in place. All the staff at Cuttlebrook go above and beyond and are extremely
caring. Everyone worked hard with us to try and address Dad's concerns, but with short term memory issues, it was difficult. We will definitely consider Cuttlebrook should his needs change again in the future.

Dad has just had a second short stay for respite care following a fall that severely impaired his mobility. As before the staff were unfailingly kind and helpful. We were kept well informed about any issues affecting dad and we felt confident and reassured that he was in safe hands. Cuttlebrook
provided a safe environment for dad to regain his mobility.

My Dad was treated with respect and dignity during his 2 week respite stay. The entire team were warm and friendly towards him.
I felt confident in the preparation and delivery of his medication and regularity of his other needs.
Dad particularly liked the food, especially the breakfasts.
My only
constructive feedback was that I did ask when we checked him in about arranging to get his daily newspaper, because this was important to him, and was told this would be possible, and I handed over his pre-paid vouchers to pay for these. Despite repeatedly raising this, this did not happen during his stay, which I felt lacked a little attention to detail that would have made a big difference to him. Hence 4 star rating in this review rather than 5 stars.

It was my Mum's 97th birthday and I asked Cuttlebrook Hall if we could have a room to celebrate her birthday. We met with 20 of the family in the cinema room which they had decorated and laid on a small buffet and drinks. This meant such a lot to us as mum can't leave the home now. Excellent service
and thank them very much.

Cuttlebrook Hall have helped us immensely in a difficult time of trying to find a care home for Mum, who has Dementia, and Dad, who has Parkinson's. They have very different needs but still want to be, and should be together. The staff, at all levels have been amazing in accommodating their care
requirements, in different wings, but also they are able to spend time and eat together as they wish.
From my first enquiry and initial visit, to Mum and Dad moving in, the whole process was professional and clearly explained. As soon as they arrived, they were treated with kindness and respect and I have been regularly updated on how they are settling in and their care plans. There are so many activities for them as a couple and as individuals, I am confident they can both get a lot out of their life at Cuttlebrook Hall. And the rooms are beautiful. Thank you!

Cuttlebrook isn't just a care home, it is a community that cares.
The staff are dedicated, professional and infectiously positive. It is impossible not to smile when everyone is greeted personally and nothing appears too much trouble.
Mum has been welcomed into the Cuttlebrook community and her
individual needs met in the very best way possible, and after only a very short while feels safe, is eating better and joining in a variety of activities!

Falling a fall and deteriorating memory, Mum was in need of a care home. It felt like a huge decision and responsibility choosing somewhere for Mum. I am so thankful to the whole team at Cuttlebrook Hall for their support and amazing care. It feels like a real community and is obvious that everyone
who works there is caring, thoughtful and prepared to go the extra mile to make residents feel safe and happy.

Cuttlebrook Hall has been a very positive move for Mum. All staff members are professional, kind and caring. They have gone out of their way to make relationships with all of our family. We are all made to feel very welcome when we visit, and everyone clearly knows Mum well. Mum now participates in
a wide range daily activities on offer, which have enriched her life and raised her sense of well being. The food and facilities are exceptional. I would highly recommend Cuttlebrook Hall.

I was fortunate to spend 2 weeks in respite care at Cuttlebrook Hall in June-July 2025. The weather was extremely hot at the time. I was amazed and delighted that in the afternoons ice creams and ice lollies were offered to all residents. The choice to decline was respected. I think this gesture by
the management team serves to illustrate the ethos I experienced at Cuttlebrook Hall, one that places the needs of each individual resident firmly at the centre of the thoughtful care on offer whilst respecting the choice to decline it. It was obvious to me that all members of staff, whatever their function within this community, knew their residents, not just their names but also their individual personalities and needs. Staff interaction with each resident was warm and kindly whatever the need. From my experience, the interaction of staff with each other was cooperative and supportive. I can honestly say that during my time in Cuttlebrook Hall I did not hear or overhear a cross word. I believe that positive interpersonal relationships are the foundation stones of any thriving community. The responsibility for establishing and sustaining such a community lies with the management team. It was obvious to me that the team at Cuttlebrook Hall was one of like-minded people with shared standards and a clear vision of what person-centred care delivered with warmth, reassurance and professionalism looks like. They are to be congratulated. Yes, undoubtedly, the beautiful environment at Cuttlebrook Hall has a substantial effect on the quality of life of the residents. However, buildings and interiors are impersonal and grow tired with time. Funding is needed for their upkeep. In contrast, the ongoing positive interpersonal relationships that form this community are longstanding. Sustaining such a community requires insight, flexibility, hard work and co-operation while keeping holistic person-centred care at its heart. What Cuttlebrook management team offers in this regard is priceless. Would I be happy to entrust Cuttlebrook Hall with the care of a vulnerable relative? Speaking from my own experience and observation of this homely community as it is at present, the answer is a resounding 'Yes'!

friends already and whereas life had become a bit of a struggle she is now more relaxed and content.
Many thanks
