View Full Details of Liberton BraeMy mum entered the home on 19th June 2025 and she has settled in well. Everyone made her so welcome! She now enjoys showing her visitors around and tells them how well she is looked after. She does miss her church and I don't think she's been able to access the service on the TV? Overall I'm very pleased with the care that my mum is receiving.
From the moment I walked into liberton brae , you feel the warmth, care the staff have for all the residents. I knew that this was the home I wanted my mum to be in. This is an Excellent care home. !!!
Staff are all very pleasant and friendly. Home is always very clean and tidy. Staff Keep me up to date with any medical issues and phone me straight away for authorisation if required. My Dad is well looked after and is always dressed nicely and clothes kept to a high standard. Facilities in the home are great, large airy rooms, furnished to a high standard.
We love the warm welcome we receive every time we visit. All staff cleaners, caterers, carers ,activity coordinators ,nursing staff and especially the Care Home Manager are all friendly and approachable. We are regulars in Bobbys Bistro and the Snoozy Snug and have had the opportunity to celebrate many a happy family occasion in the upstairs dining area.Mum enjoys being pampered in the on site hairdressing salon . Communications are strong and staff are always willing to listen ,we particularly enjoy regular updates on social media for when we aren't around ,and ,hearing all the latest news via regular newsletters. We feel Mum needs are met in all areas and are delighted she feels secure and contented.
My only concern is Bobbys Bar cleanliness could be improved. The tables and floor could be cleaner (more regular) lack of cleaning fluids and clean dish towels. Otherwise, this is a fantastic facility within the home which we use most days.
The care home is well run with many of the staff providing outstanding care. I feel my mum is very well looked after and any issues are always addressed and dealt with promptly. I have no concerns whatsoever.
My mother has been a resident since the home opened and we have found the care to be exemplary. Mum is well known by the staff for her views about world affairs and music and they all seem to know her well. Mum has COPD and the staff are very knowledgable about her treatment and have undertaken extra training to deal with oxygen requirements when unwell. We are always greeted on arrival and kept up to date with what is happening with Mum. Mum used to take part in some of the activities but is now less able but enjoys the chats she has. It was recently Mum's 90th birthday and she had a great time. We took her out for lunch and the Care Home arranged a wheelchair taxi for us to take her down to the restaurant. We are very pleased with the care and facilities in Liberton Brae and highly recommend the home.
My dad was the first resident in the care home & has been made to feel welcome & very much at home! He is well cared for and looked after above & beyond! The home is extremely welcoming and spotlessly clean , decor is lovely !
Staff are outstanding. Top quality care and beautiful home. Lots of activities to be involved in too. Clean, bright and comfortable home. Lovely touches, particularly things like on site salon, bobbys bar and the roof garden. Food is always appealing and loving the around the world menus on Wednesday!
My Mum has been a resident of Liberton Brae since October 2024, and as a family we can't praise highly enough the care and attention she has received there. Mum has flourished in her new surroundings and thoroughly enjoys joining in with all the activities the entertainment team provides. On sunny days we've been able to enjoy sitting out on the roof terrace as Mum loves the fresh air, but on colder days The Bistro is a lovely environment to spend our family visits. From the minute you walk through the front door you're made to feel welcome, and we can't thank all the staff enough for giving us peace of mind knowing Mum is safe and happy and being so well cared for.
My mother has been a resident at Liberton Care Home since Jan 2025. The standard of care is extremely good and the modern spacious rooms are very pleasant and comfortable. The staff are very approachable and supportive not only to our mother but the whole family. I feel like we work together with one goal to support our mum. The activities team work very hard to keep residents moving and having fun as much as is possible. I would definitely recommend Liberton Care Home as a caring, comfortable place for people to live or have respite care. The home is very clean and mums rooms is spacious, always fresh with a beautiful outlook over the city.
All seems good with my father's care at Liberton Brae. My father has dementia and can be difficult at times and the staff have dealt with this sympathetically and professionally. Liberton Brae has good facilities and my dad's room is substantial. All my dealings with staff have been favourable.
I wanted to review this care home as I feel it deserves a positive review. The staff are amazing and very attentive to the residents. The place is spotless and welcoming. The residents are out of bed every day and have access to emergency buzzers, in my experience this is not always the case.
My father moved here a couple of months ago and I have nothing negative to say at all about Liberton Care Home. The staff are professional, kind and caring and helped settle my Dad in. Nothing is a problem and they go out of their way to make sure my Dad is cared for and happy. I have found all staff, from senior nurses to the cleaners, to be pleasant and always go out of their way to say hello.
We cannot speak highly enough about the standard and quality of care that our sister is receiving from the manager and her excellent team at the Liberton Brae Home. It has been such a relief knowing that we have moved our sister to a significantly improved care environment where everything is exceptionally well managed and nothing seems to be a problem. Many thanks Manager and team.
My niece was admitted to Liberton Care Home due to her previous care accommodation closing. She has settled into her new beautiful accommodation with ease. The staff from domestic, care and nursing have made her feel so welcome and appear to meet her every need. She has a busy schedule and again this is thanks to the staff who interact constantly with the residents and encourage them to use all the activities and many communal areas on offer. It is a great relief to the family to see her so comfortable and cared for.
My father has only been here a short time but I have nothing negative to say about the home. On arrival, the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The staff on his unit are fantastic with my dad, nothing every seems to be a problem to them. I can see a massive difference in my dad, he is always clean-shaven and spotless. He seems very happy to stay there.
We were over for a visit to see our friend. Liberton Brae is a lovely home with beautiful furnishings so clean and inviting for visitors. We came across from Fife to see her and there was an afternoon singalong with a lady singer and tombola as well. We thoroughly enjoyed singing along with everyone. Just glad she is happy there and settled, we will get over to see her as soon as I have recovered from my injury. Fabulous Staff as well.
My mum's been in Liberton care home since last September, I was really upset about her having to go but couldn't ask for a better place, my mum's well looked after always clean and tidy and her rooms spotless, the staff are brilliant all really nice and all care so much for my mum. If I'm worried about anything I know a member of staff will have the answer. I wouldn't have her anywhere else.
Our Mum was a resident at Liberton Brae from June 2023 till she sadly died on 20 January 2024. From the start the care and devotion of the staff was exemplary, they went above and beyond at every opportunity to enhance Mum's quality of life and happiness. The rooms are fantastic bright and beautifully decorated and furnished. There are lots of activities and everyone is encouraged to make the most of every day. The food is also brilliant and the chef would frequently make something especially for Mum to encourage her to eat. We viewed 20 care homes in the city before we visited Liberton Brae and it was by far the best. When it came to end-of-life care my sister and I were treated with such compassion and everything possible was done for Mum so she passed peacefully and with dignity. The staff had become like an extended family and some came to the funeral. This is a genuinely caring and lovely home in a gorgeous building. I could not recommend highly enough.
