View Full Details of Heathlands Care CentreMy wife has been a resident since Feb 2025. Throughout this time, I have found the staff to be not only very caring, as one would expect, but also very friendly and understanding regarding her condition. Management have gone out of their way to help her have periods of enjoyment alongside other residents, although she is almost totally bedbound. It is her nature to be contented, but management and staff go out of their way to ensure she stays that way. I have seen a lot of improvements since Feb and hope it continues.
Have been happy with HCC. The food is excellent, healthy and varied. The staff are caring and kind and keep family members informed about any medical or personal issues. If there are any queries or concerns, these are discussed and acted upon - and doctors or nurses are called upon, if necessary. Music and games together with live musicians are encouraged and all the residents enjoy and look forward to these regular activities. Arts and crafts are also part of the day and enjoyed, together with bingo and some ball games are played too. On sunny days the residents are taken into the garden. Regular daily cleaning takes place with smiling cleaners and care to hygiene is very important and adhered to. The head of maintenance is always on hand assisting and helping - and always chats to all the residents and family members. Reception/adiminstrator is always friendly and very helpful in all matters helping HCC to run smoothly and efficiently.
I am extremely satisfied with the care my husband is receiving. The staff are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. I don't think my husband could have better care anywhere. I would highly recommend the home to anyone looking for care.
Heathlands Care Home has the feeling of an extended caring family. The staff are hard working , kind and caring towards the residents. They listen to any requests and follow them up. The food is good and plentiful, with nice extra touches like delicious birthday cakes being made by the chef for residents. The new management are very receptive to any suggestions or criticism and have worked hard to implement many new ideas for the benefit of the residents. They are available for conversation and advice when at Heathlands. Friends and family visiting the home have been impressed by the cleanliness, food and staff's friendliness.
Very impressed with the way in which my partner has been looked after, especially through his recent decline and illness. All staff are very caring and helpful, and look after me too when I am visiting. They all go the extra mile to ensure our comfort. A particular lady on reception is excellent and another particular member of staff took time out to update us on my partners condition and explained everything so well and clearly. The facilities are very good and spacious, and the care flexible and adaptive to the individuals needs. Thank you all so very much; my mind is much more at ease since my partner has been with you over the last 10 months.
This care home has greatly improved due to the change in management and staff. I seriously considered removing my mother from this home at the beginning of the year, but I am very happy with the care my mum is receiving now. Very well done to the management for turning this home around. Please may it continue.
My mum has been at Heathlands for over a year now and has been very happy and settled. The staff seem very caring and go above and beyond to look after Mum. I feel that I have always been listened to when I visit, and the staff always greet me and ask how I am.
My mother-in-law has been a resident at Heathlands since November 2024. During the last two months, I have seen great improvement in all aspects of the home. Staff are extremely caring and always willing to resolve any issues. My mother-in-law is an extremely fussy eater. I have witnessed staff offering her 5 different choices of food at meal times. The home is always clean and well maintained. Activities are varied and keep the residents happy and occupied. Great home.
Visited today with brother-in-law, his wife, & my sister-in-law. A party was taking place to celebrate the horse racing. Lady singer was fantastic and it was obvious the residents were loving it. As always, the carers were interacting continuously with the residents. The party food was enjoyed by all. My husband's family doesn't visit often as they live 70 miles away, but I visit him a couple of times a week & am always impressed with the staff.
My experience was that expertise shown by all the nursing professionals, doing a difficult job, showing compassion, thoughtfulness and great care to my husband during his short stay. They need a medal for what they do. Care manager and her staff all make relatives welcome and well received. I would recommend this care centre and all involved.
From the moment my father came into the home the staff made him and my family so very welcome. When I came in the ambulance with him all the staff came to introduce themselves. They have given him so much care and also have supported my family, especially my mother who came in on a daily basis. Dad wasn't here long, but he, and all the family, have been made to feel so welcome. Everyone on the team I have met has been warm, kind and compassionate. Thank you to all.
The care home has a lovely welcoming atmosphere. The staff are always welcoming and polite. Mum is treated with dignity and respect and treated as an individual. I always feel she is well cared for and looked after.
I find the staff at Heathlands very approachable and will deal with any issues straight away. The rooms are lovely and you can personalise them with pictures, photos etc. Food is very good. Staff never make you feel in the way and you can make tea and coffee if you wish.
I found the home very organised and tidy, the food is good and satisfying. The staff are excellent.
My friend has received very good care from day one. She is treated with care, respect and dignity, and her overall wellbeing has improved greatly since becoming a resident at Heathlands. From being totally bed-bound she is now able to spend a few hours daily in the lounge, thanks to a special chair specific to her needs. And her family and friends who visit regularly receive a friendly and welcoming experience on each visit, which is so important for us all.
My wife has had the best possible care and nursing, medical needs during her stay at Heathlands. The staff are helpful and attentive to her needs and keep me informed on progress regularly.
The home is well-led, manager is nearly always available, plenty of staff on hand during visiting. Home is clean, pleasant surroundings with a great atmosphere. I'm very happy with the care that my mum receives.
My mum has been in Heathlands Care Home since May 2022, although it took some time to settle she is now settled in and comfortable with the staff who are always kind and caring. We didn't want to put our mum in a home but as it was necessary this is the best place she can be.
My mum is well cared for and the staff are very kind and caring. There has been a huge improvement since the manager changed. The food is amazing and they adapt the food for my mum’s needs. Birthdays are a big celebration with all the residents involved.
The Care Home has come on terrifically. Very pleased! Communication is very open. I feel very welcome with all the staff. Staff will ring me and let me know if there is a concern. My husband has to have soft food and the chef is very clever with the diet. My husband had a birthday just recently and the chef made a wonderful cake for him and a little party.
