View Full Details of Provence HouseMy Mum has been a resident of The Hollies for the past five months. The care and attention she receives from all the staff is exemplary. The facilities are first class and the food is delicious - so much so that Mum has become more adventurous in her tastes. Management and staff always have time to listen to me if I have any concerns about how Mum is and always err on the side of caution about getting her checked for UTIs, etc. Whilst I see Mum very regularly, the staff always keep me abreast of updates in her treatment and demeanour in-between times. I've observed the staff on many occasions when they were unaware I was present and I can hand on heart say they treat the residents with the utmost care, compassion, friendliness and humour.
My Mum was a resident at Provence House, Laurel Wing for eight months before sadly passing away earlier this year. Choosing care for a much loved parent is a daunting and emotional experience, and having visited many homes, and doing my due diligence, I was more that delighted to find Lavender Fields. The facilities are a world apart from anything else I came across, and the surroundings elude an air of peace calm and tranquillity. Nothing is too much trouble for any member of staff and they always had time to discuss my Mums needs and my concerns, as well as giving me support on occasions, at a very difficult time. Mum's health and emotional needs were met on every level right to the end of her life, with calm dignity, respect and love from all the carers, staff and the Management Team. It became like a second home to me and I will be eternally grateful. I still visit when in the area and always receive the same warm welcome.
My grandma has lived here for several months now and as a family we couldn't be happier. The care she receives is outstanding. The communication from reception team, care staff and management is excellent, they have always responded to us or informed us anything very efficiently! The activities are varied and fun and the meals look delicious. I know my grandma is safe in their care and that all her needs are met to a very personal and high standard whilst always maintaining her dignity. She is always clean, and looks as presentable as when she was able to do her own personal care. I am forever grateful for the care and compassion shown to her. Nothing is ever too much to ask and for that we thank you, for everything!!
My sister in law has been a resident in the Oaks at Provence House for a year now. She has Downs and Young Onset Dementia. The home have been absolutely first class in the care they provide, and their whole approach has been one of 'can do'. We moved my sister in law from a care home which, despite saying it could handle those with a learning disability and young onset dementia, clearly couldn't cope with either. Moving someone is always a difficult decision but our experience has shown that the move to Lavender Fields was exactly the right move to make. The team worked with us to get to know her before the move and we had a real input into shaping her care plan ahead of the move, and have been involved since. The team have worked incredibly hard to get to know my sister in law, to understand her likes and dislikes and to work out ways of communicating with her now she is virtually non-verbal.
A year since my sister moved in, and it's flown past. We've had no issues whatsoever at all with the care, the facilities, the staff or the programmed activities. My sister is well cared for, and receiving first class care. The team are absolutely first class and work incredibly hard to provide the residents with an engaging programme of events. So so glad we found Lavender Fields!
My father received loving care at Provence House - Lavender Fields, nothing was too much trouble. The facilities are superb akin to a first class hotel.
What a breath of fresh air, at last a home designed specifically around the needs of residents but still feeling like a home. Attention has been given to people living with dementia, from good signage to bold colours demarcating various areas of the home, doorways look like doorways, not holes in the wall, natural light floods the home. The hub contains a functioning pub and bistro with restaurant level food that residents can eat anytime of day and relatives and friends can come in and order as though they were out for lunch. The carers are fantastic. Taking time to get to know residents, first names all round and each resident gets to move at their own pace and not some pre-determined timetable in the home. I write this as a relative who has moved his father-in-law from a home that although rated as good did not manage individual needs, but I am also writing this as a frailty clinician who has worked with hundreds of care homes and facilities, this is the best of them!
My mum was admitted to Provence House for emergency respite. She settled in quickly and decided she would stay. The environment is safe, well managed and beautifully clean. All staff have been just wonderful and taken the time to get to know us. Visiting is a nice treat - coffee, food, drinks available on site. Mum loves the social side! I recommend without reservation.
My dad has settled into the care home since he arrived 3 months ago and seems happy there. The place itself is immaculate with lots of facilities both indoor and outdoor with its own post office, pub, shop and more! The staff seem friendly and helpful and are easy to communicate with, they also offer assistance when I can't get there if things need to be done or relayed to my dad in my absence. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Thank you.
This is an outstanding facility. The welcome is warm and genuine and you immediately feel part of the family. They took the time to understand my husband's complex needs and I have total faith that the staff deliver an exemplary level of care. The surroundings are more like an hotel than a care home which is refreshing and the central hub with its pub, gym, shop and cafe the ideal place for visitors to meet with their loved ones. Every single member of staff knows us by name and helps make our difficult journey just a little more bearable. I must single out the activity coordinator, her can-do attitude is truly inspiring. Thank you to every single member of the team.
My wife has been a resident at Provence House since it opened in early April. She had spent the previous year in a more traditional care home and has settled into her new environment very well. She enjoys her beautiful room with an outlook on the fast-growing gardens. The room has every piece of equipment needed for comfort and safety. The wing for older residents has plenty of space for dining, therapeutic activities and socialising, with cups of tea and TV entertainment. Visitors are welcomed by the friendly and dedicated staff.
This is a newly opened care facility and my husband stayed there for 1 week of respite care. Everything about this home is excellent and I have booked my husband in for a second week in July with a view to him becoming a full-time resident in due course. Because the home is new there are only a few residents at the moment which means it's a bit quiet but as more people arrive it will be much livelier I'm sure.
The level of care is outstanding. The staff always have time to talk about how my relative is settling in. Attention to detail is always paid, in record keeping and handover information. The environment is safe, clean, warm and calm. It is a very comfortable room with lovely furniture and an en-suite bathroom. The outside surroundings are peaceful and pleasant with courtyard gardens. It is good to know that my relative is safe and very well looked after. All her interests are carefully considered and the carers are helping her to adapt to a very different environment. It has a five-star rating from me. Communication is excellent.
