View Full Details of Waterhouse Manor Care HomeMy mother has just spent a weeks respite at Waterhouse Manor and has had a lovely time. I can not thank the staff enough for making her stay enjoyable as she was apprehensive about going in having not been to a care home before. Mum enjoyed the activities she participated In, going to the cinema and the food in her words was amazing. Her room was very nice and overlooked the lovely gardens. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Thank you very much and she looks forward to her next visit.
This care home took a broken (mentally) 100-year-old lady and helped her blossom into her former self. The staff gave her everything she could possibly want, and treated her as an individual and gave her as much love as anyone could possibly want. She was so happy and contend and her life was full to the brim of everything she enjoyed. The home has such amazing staff and they work together as a team always for the clients best interests.
My parents have both moved into Waterhouse Manor recently. The staff, without fail, have all been so welcoming, kind, receptive and responsive to all the questions and comments we have all had as a family. The environment is amazing and the activities available fantastic! The home has a positive, caring 'can do' attitude which has made this difficult move so much easier for all of us.
My mum moved into the care home in a couple of months back, she was previously living at home but was not coping well with being on her own, even with carers going in three times a day. We chose this home over others we looked at, as it was clean and newly built. My mother is thoroughly enjoying every aspect of living at Waterhouse Manor. The Staff are professional and its nice to see them laughing and joking with the residents, it always appears to have a good atmosphere. I'm confident we made the right choice.
Our loved one has been a permanent resident at Waterhouse Manor since early Feb 25. From the offset we were impressed by the high-level of care and preparation that was put in for her arrival, ensuring a smooth transition at such a challenging time. The whole team made her feel so welcome and comfortable, plus engaging with us as a family to make sure we had all our concerns and needs met; nothing was too much trouble. As the level of care of our loved one has changed due to her dementia, we have again been impressed by the proactive and caring approach taken by the care team - fully involving our family to understand next steps and approaches to adapt the dynamic care plan that is in place. So, thank you Waterhouse Manor! To the amazing team that work so hard there, from the client manager, reception staff, management, carers, housekeepers and the catering team - we send heartfelt thanks from us all (and from dogs that love coming in for a bit of love and fuss) Fully recommended!
My mum moved into this care home in February, having previously lived in another luxury care home. My mother is absolutely thriving, with a huge zest for life, thoroughly enjoying every aspect of life here. She is blessed with highly professional staff with outstanding skills, who are led by an exemplary manager. The whole team of staff all engage thoroughly with residents as this is modelled by the Care Home Manager and her very capable team - there is very much an open door policy and senior managerial staff are very much aware of the needs of individual residents, as they engage with them daily in meaningful ways. My mother absolutely loves the variety of weekly quality activities - including visiting singers, visits from animals, trips out, quality crafts, and in house cinema to name but a few. The whole team here gels well, including the compassionate customer liaison manager, the very obliging facilities manager and the creative lead chef who makes amazing gluten free dishes.
Mum moved to WM Care Home in early February. She had been very poorly (along with displaying signs of dementia) and was no longer able to look after herself at home. It has taken a few weeks for Mum to settle but the care she has received has been amazing. The staff all deeply care for the residents. Mum is making friends with other residents and joining in with activities.
My nan recently stayed at Waterhouse Manor for respite care. She very much enjoyed the entertainment but most importantly, the care. From the moment they picked her up, they kept us up to date with day to day activities and she is now home feeling refreshed. My Nan thoroughly enjoyed her time during her stay. The home has great facilities and a beautiful place for a break or permanent home. I would 100% recommend to friends and family.
I'm so thankful for the incredible experience my mum had during her respite care stay in a time of need. From the moment my Mum arrived, the staff made us feel at ease and their kindness and professionalism were evident throughout. The care home was warm, welcoming, and spotless, with a real homely feel. Mum was well looked after, and it was clear to see that the staff took the time to get to know her needs and preferences. She enjoyed the activities, socialised with other residents and came back home feeling refreshed and in high spirits. It's such a relief to know she was in such good hands. I highly recommend Waterhouse Manor for anyone seeking respite care or a permanent home for their loved one.
Mum went in for respite care over Christmas as she has Alzheimer's. I had previously viewed the home by myself and was very impressed. We then had a visit with Mum and spoke to the staff and she chose her room. We then had a home visit to sort out all the paperwork which was much better than doing it there. Mum had a good time and I felt that she was definitely in good hands. The facilities are lovely and the home is very community oriented which I like, nothing was too much trouble for them.
Everyone is always very helpful and they engage as much as possible with my friend. She has dementia and the people at Waterhouse Manor really look after her well. She has lived alone for many years and it was difficult at first for her but she loves people and they have brought out her cheeky self again.
From day one when I first met the CSM for Waterhouse Manor at a stall in the local shopping centre it has been life-changing for both my mum and us. Mum was previously in another care home and had been declining massively for the last 6 months as they were not meeting even the basic of care needs. Within a week of coming and viewing the home Mum moved over. I was initially worried about how she would settle in due to her Alzheimer's change can be extremely unsettling. My concern was unfounded, she has settled in amazing and is actually flourishing since moving in. The staff are amazing, really attentive and caring and nothing is forced at all. The food is restaurant quality and she is actually eating really well now. I cannot sing this home's praises enough. I have my mum back. My only regret is that we didn't do it sooner. I can highly recommend Waterhouse Manor to anyone looking for somewhere that truly genuinely cares for the residents. I never have to worry about Mum anymore.
The team at Waterhouse are so involved with getting Mum to settle into a new way of living. They have taken so much responsibility off our shoulders, such a relief. Mum is encouraged to join in with activities, the nursing team ensure that she is taking her meds regularly and take great care of her (even offering a glass of wine to cheer her). The chef always checks on what Mum is eating, and if she would like anything else. The front-of-house team are extremely responsive, answering all of our many questions and getting things sorted. I can't wait to take Mum to the cinema room, she loved going to the top floor and looking out at the sunset from the glass-walled balcony, Mum was even planning a party there in June 25. The premises are top-notch, so clean, so inviting and comfortable. We did look around a number of care homes prior to Mum moving and no other care home came up to the level of Waterhouse. Thank you to everyone who works there, for your amazing help and support.
Mum has been at Waterhouse Manor since the 23rd of September. She has settled in really well, and although would prefer to be living in her own home, seems very happy. Waterhouse Manor is a beautiful care home and has a homely, cosy atmosphere, but at the same time feels like a 5-star hotel. The staff are excellent! The carers always encourage Mum to take part in the activities that are on offer and are so reassuring when we visit. The management team are very supportive to residents and family and always have everyone's best interests at heart. We were concerned about the transition when our Mum moved into Waterhouse Manor, but everything ran smoothly. All of the staff, from management, carers, receptionists, admin staff, Chef and kitchen staff, housekeeping and wellbeing staff are excellent! We couldn't have wished for any better. Thank you to you all. Mum's room is spacious and cosy, and she has all her things around her to make her feel at home. A huge thank you to all of you.
I looked around several care homes within the local area and Waterhouse Manor was the one that stood out the most for me. A beautiful new home with outstanding service and staff. They took the time to get to know my Godmother and what mattered to her. The moving-in process was seamless and although she had only gone in for a month to see how she felt, in less than a week she had decided to stay on as a permanent resident. My godmother is not always keen to socialise with others and is more than happy to just be in her own company but the staff always try to include her within the many activities that are available within the home, but at the same time respecting her wishes if she does not want to. The family are also included and asked to the events that they hold and you can also have meals with your family member at any time. I would say to anyone looking for a home for their loved one to take a look around. I would be very surprised if you were disappointed!
Choosing a home for a loved one can be a daunting task but the staff at Waterhouse Manor were very supportive and made the whole journey easier. We had several orientation visits with our family member and they were happy to answer any questions we had. They went out of their way to welcome us as a family and not just the resident. They helped us personalise the room with items from home so it really felt like a home from home. I cannot fault the care and support that they give. It is truly personalised care adapting the way things are done to support the individual needs of our loved one. The activities are designed to engage them at an appropriate level and they have arranged trips out and visits which have been amazing experiences. We as are family are always welcome too and it has been lovely that the grandchildren have been able to join in. Thank you to the management team, care staff, activities coordinator, maintenance man housekeeping and the chefs. You do a wonderful job!
