View Full Details of Leighton Rose Care HomeHusband had 2 weeks respite in Leighton Rose. He didn't engage in the activity. He enjoyed staying in his room. The staff were very friendly and came to tell when meal time and he went to restaurant to eat. We would use Leighton Rose again.
Overall a positive experience. Our main concern was the appearance of the grounds. The view from my mother-in-law's window was of a large area of weeds and thistles. It seemed as though this had once been planted up but appear never to have been tended since, as did the majority if the flowerbeds. My mother-in-law commented on this many times. It was very disappointing for her. Such lack of maintenance does not constitute being 'nature friendly' or 'rewilding'.
My mother recently became a full time resident following a short trial stay earlier this year. Because Mum had been living in the Channel Islands, arranging her move was logistically challenging, but the staff were incredibly accommodating, making both the trial and permanent move as smooth and stress-free as possible. It has been a difficult and emotional time for Mum and our family, but throughout the process, the team at have been consistently helpful and supportive. Their patience, understanding, and willingness to go above and beyond have made a real difference. Just today, I witnessed a young staff member respond with great compassion and professionalism when another resident accidentally spilled hot coffee on himself. The way she immediately and gently cared for him, offering comfort and reassurance, gave me real confidence that my mother is in safe and caring hands. I am truly grateful to all the staff for their kindness and dedication. Special thanks to the customer relations administrator for everything.
My Father only had a very short stay at Leighton Rose but I can't thank the staff enough for their help and care. The assistance in getting my Dad in earlier than expexted through to his care when he was unwell made all the difference to him and us. The care home itself is also such a lovely place. The way it's been designed whether it be communal or private rooms, it's so homely and smart all helping the surroundings be comfortable for anyone staying or visiting. Thank you to everyone at Leighton Rose for their assistance, even for a short while it helped the difficult process be that bit smoother. My only reason for 4/5 stars is due to the fact he didn't use the full facilities so cannot fully mark all parts of the home / staff.
My Father in law first went into Leighton Rose care home for respite after spending long periods of time in hospital. It gave him time to get stronger and the 24/7 care that he needed whilst getting over being so poorly. The staff and management team have all been supportive and the care has been excellent. It's beautifully decorated and the coffee shop is a lovely place to sit and have a coffee and chat with your loved ones. It took time for my father-in-law to participate in the activities but he does now and has started to enjoy them.
Dad was in respite for 2 weeks. After a few settling in issues we were happy with his stay at Leighton Rose. We felt that he had a good rest from living independently , he was safe and well looked after. The staff are very kind and attentive . As a family we felt welcome and included.
I was here for respite care following knee surgery. I felt safe and secure, staff were caring and always on hand when buzzer was pressed. My room was very clean, staff and management were very helpful - e.g. in obtaining medication and ensuring district nurse support. I am delighted I made the decision to have respite care at Leighton Rose. Thank you everyone!
As you walk through the main entrance to Leighton Rose you know straight away what you are getting as so many staff greet you, Leighton Rose is a beautiful looking care home so it does not feel like you are in care, but more so on a luxury holiday but has also the feeling of a loving family and genuine compassion can be felt immediately. Nothing is ever to much trouble for any of the carers, you really can see and feel the genuine compassion that they all have for everyone they look after. The food always smells and looks wonderful and the residents enjoy their meals in the dining rooms all together, the bar on the first floor allows the residents to enjoy a 'pub quiz' with a beverage if they wish amongst so many other activities that are on offer around the home. I honestly couldn't recommend this care home enough from what I have seen since I have been volunteering here, I feel so lucky to have been welcomed with open arms to be part of the care home family
Mum has been here for a couple of months and has received excellent care. Her health has improved greatly and she's receiving very good nursing care and the staff are very kind and considerate, keeping me informed of her care and progress. Staff have been great at encouraging her to join in with the activities, which are varied and interesting. She loves the meals, which are well cooked and plentiful, and enjoys going to the Bistro area for coffee and cake with family and visitors We always feel very welcomed as a family when visiting.Mum's room is spacious and comfortable, and she's been allowed to bring some of her own furniture to make it feel more like her own space The only slight criticism is that sometimes the staffing level seems quite low, especially at weekends, and mum has said she waits quite a long time for assistance
Mum received good respite care following her hip operation. The staff and management were caring, supportive and friendly. The home, and mum's room were beautifully decorated and clean. The other residents were friendly and welcoming. Overall the stay helped mum to recover and build her confidence to go home.
Since arriving at the Rose my mum has settled in well, put on weight and now has many friends. The staff are excellent always ready to help in any way.
On entering the reception area in Leighton Rose you feel you have entered a quality hotel. The coffee area is a popular place to get a coffee and a cake for residents and their relatives. The lunch and dinner offering could be improved but I am told they are working on this issue - hence my 4* instead of 5* rating. Leighton Rose has been my mother's home since it opened last year. She now requires closer nursing care and Leighton Rose have handled the cross over from basic care with ease and efficiency. I would not hesitate for any relative who finds their loved ones in the same position as my mother, come and see what Leighton Ross have to offer.
I came here for respite after a hip replacement operation. The rest did me a world of good and I could practice my exercises and get myself back on my feet again. The staff have been very helpful and friendly. My room was very roomy and bright making the atmosphere relaxing and comfortable. All together it was it was well worth the 2 weeks respite.
Very good care. The food could have been better, staff friendly and helpful. Very clean.
Mum recently went into Leghton Rose Care Home for respite and she will definitely be back when we need another break from caring for her. Leighton Rose is a beautiful, luxurious state of the art care home with excellent facilities. A big thank you to the manager, staff and the reception team for their excellent service and care.
My mother went into Leighton Rose after a nasty fall and spell in hospital. She needed to recover and be near where my father lives so he could visit. We had visited several care homes in the area and the warm welcome and lovely surroundings of Leighton Rose stood out. The nursing care was a very important factor due to her limited mobility and since arriving my mother has put weight back on and is on less medication than before the fall. She is enjoying some of the activities and having her hair done weekly in the on-site salon. Visitors are welcomed at any time of the day and can enjoy a coffee with her in the bistro downstairs. I feel happier knowing she is in safe, experienced and most importantly, kind hands.
My wife died on our Ruby Wedding anniversary last Saturday the 10th May. I was with her and staff shortly before her death. When LRCH was commissioned, it is clear there were many issues that needed to be addressed. New management took on the issues that presented and were taken forward with action plans and with sensible protocols put in place. I commend LRCH and team of dedicated carers. Faced with my wifes end of life care I could not fault the genuine care and kindness shown to not just my wife but me also. The actions of the staff were exemplary. I take this time to bring closure to what has been a very difficult last year. LRCH has done everything I could have expected and more.
Our relative has recently moved into Leighton Rose care home from another care home which we were not happy with. To date we are very happy with this decision. It is a fabulous new facility. We would not hesitate to recommend this care home.
Leighton Rose is a brand new care home. The facility itself and the staff are 5 star. There have been 'teething' problems but we expected that we such a new facility but the staff have been very good in dealing with any issues and learning lessons for the future. The food and the organisation around breakfast, lunch and dinner could be improved but overall I would have no problem in recommending Leighton Rose as an excellent care home.
My Mum went into Leighton Rose after a fall and a period in hospital. She has dementia which makes it hard for her to settle. After a brief settling in period for both the staff and my mum (the floor was newly open) the staff have got to know her needs and treat her like a friend. It is such a relief to me to know Mum is safe and looked after well. She is encouraged to participate in activities which is of great benefit to her. The management keep in contact with me when they need information which is reassuring. Very importantly her friends can visit regularly and are made to feel welcome.
