View Full Details of Northcare Residences, GlasgowMy Mum moved into Northcare Residencies followong a stay in hospital. I'm sure, like many others, she was reluctant to embrace her new home. However, all staff, without exception, have made her feel very welcome and encouraged her to participate in the many activities on offer. She is treated with compassion, understanding and respect at all times and has settled in well. She has a lovely relationship with many of the staff who all go above and beyond to bring a smile. The standard of the care home itself is exceptional and as a family we are delighted with the progress my Mum has made since moving here.
This was the best experience ever for my husband who was very well looked after. When he came home he was more attentive with things that were going on and just seemed more interested which is great. I'm sure this was all to do with the attention and mixing with others all thanks to Northcare. As for me as my husbands carer I had a very good break. Can I make a suggestion as it was best I didn't visit it would be good to get some feed back from the care home as it is impossible to get any information from the person with dementia.I would have liked to hear how he past some of his time and if he joined in with others. To finish I am very happy I made the good decision to have the respite and especially to an excellent care home like Northcare and would certainly want to do it again.
I am extremely impressed with the care that my parent receives. All staff display excellent, people centred skills and values. The way they all interact with my dad is absolutely excellent. I am delighted that he is in this care home.
I have been very happy with the care my husband has been shown since he went into care. I feel all the staff know him well, exactly how he like his breakfast and all his little foibles. He is very pleased with the food and I am pleased with the cleanliness. He has been encouraged to take part in the activities.
Northcare has been exceptional and in their care of my husband, the staff have been extremely caring and nothing has been too much trouble. He arrived at the home in an unsettled way and within a few weeks has become a much calmer and happier person. The home has been extremely welcoming to him and the family.
Overall I was very impressed with the care givers but it was frustrating to have to wait each time one needed the bathroom for an extra staff member to come, although I do understand the principle of working in twos. The home itself is immaculately kept, food was fine and overall a pleasant stay for respite.
My friend of many years has recently moved into Northcare Residences after a period of time in hospital which he found very difficult, the move has been great. Everyone goes above and beyond to do all they can, the environment is lovely and feels very welcoming and homely.
My mum moved to Northcare following a lengthy stay at hospital. Since being a resident here her medical condition has greatly improved and staff treat her with dignity, kindness and respect. My mum has built up strong relationships with several of the care team and their knowledge of my mum's likes/dislikes greatly helps them in settling my mum during periods of restlessness. All the staff throughout the home are friendly and compassionate and allow myself and my sister to have peace of mind that she is being well cared for.
My Aunt moved into Northcare Residences after a number of weeks in hospital and has settled in well. The home is beautiful throughout and is furnished to a very high standard. Her room is a very good size, is nice and bright and is well appointed with good quality furniture and fittings. The menu is varied, the food is well presented and enjoyed. The overall standard of cleanliness throughout the building is very impressive. The nursing care team have built up a good relationship with her and I've been impressed with the good communication from them, in addition to the management team who are hands on and keep me well informed. The care is delivered in a friendly and professional way, which she appreciates. The monthly activity list is well organised and gives her a varied selection of activities on a weekly basis. We are pleased with all aspects of Northcare so far.
Mum has been a resident for four weeks and has settled in well The ethos of the home is very positive and caring Staff are well trained and interact well with residents and visitors Rooms clean and comfortable
I am very impressed by my relative's new care home. The staff provide exceptional care with kindness and professionalism, making my relative feel safe and well looked after. Communication from management is excellent, keeping me well-informed and involved every step of the way. The environment is beautiful with well-maintained spaces that create a welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant and first class catering provide an ideal socialising space away from the bedrooms and communal lounges and make visits a very positive experience. Overall, it's a lovely place where my relative feels truly cared for and comfortable.
Just a quick note to let you know how delighted we are with the level of care Mum has received since she arrived a few weeks ago. Everyone without fail seems happy to go the extra mile, and staff are all so friendly and kind as well as appearing to be extremely capable and professional. Mum has been reluctant to become involved in social events etc although we can see signs that she is slowly but surely gaining confidence. Staff gentle encouragement has played a huge part in this and we are delighted with the progress she is making. We should also point out that we are always made to feel welcome at any time, and we are delighted with all aspects of Northcare so far.
I am delighted with every aspect of the care my husband is receiving at Northcare Residences. It was very difficult for me to have him become a resident in a Care Home but I can honestly say NR has gone above and beyond my expectations The staff are excellent and his quality of life has improved due to the attention he is receiving. He is encouraged to engage in the planned activities when he feels like it. NR is very sociable and family and friends are made to feel very welcome. I am secure in the knowledge that he is in the best place suited to his needs.
My mother moved into Northcare Residence in mid-November after a lengthy period of hospitalisation, which had left her incredibly weak and medically vulnerable. For the last month and a half, the care she has received has been nothing short of excellent and her health has been nurtured back to a sustainable level. The staff are so attentive to the point where we can clearly see their individual relationships forming with Mum and, on a more personal note, with ourselves as a family. The reassurance this gives us is immeasurable! The home environment is beautiful, immaculately clean and it's quite apparent that nothing is too much for the staff. We are genuinely delighted by our whole experience so far, principally because we can see how genuinely comfortable and settled Mum has become in such a relatively short period of time.
My grandmother stayed at Northcare Manor for two weeks in November for respite care, and we couldn't be more pleased with the experience. The staff were incredibly attentive and compassionate, ensuring she felt comfortable and well looked after throughout her stay. The facilities were clean, modern, and welcoming, creating a homely atmosphere that made her feel at ease. The care team went above and beyond to cater to her needs, providing excellent support while also encouraging her to join activities and socialise with other residents. It gave our family peace of mind knowing she was in such capable hands. We would highly recommend Northcare Manor to anyone seeking quality respite care for their loved ones.
Mother seems to have settled in well with pictures of her taking part in the afternoon activities in the recent Newsletter. Good to see that she is being encouraged to be mobile with her Zimmer frame, which was sadly lacking in her stay in the hospital after her hip fracture. Hopefully, she will continue to engage with the other residents and staff as she becomes more familiar with her surroundings. Staff seemed well trained and motivated to ensure that the residents are made as comfortable as possible and are encouraged to be mentally and physically active where possible.
My father is fortunate to have been once of the first residents at this beautiful new nursing home. We were able to set up his room so it is as much 'home-from-home' as is possible. The welcome he has been given has been wonderful. The help and consideration to us as family throughout the process excellent.
