It was a big decision for us to move our Mum from another care home, where she had been resident for some years. It has been an extremely positive move for her. In Mum's words, 'Everything is better'. The home has a relaxed atmosphere and is tastefully furbished in a style which reminds Mum of her
own home. It feels more like a quality hotel than a care home. The staff are kind and caring and take time to get to know our Mum and what is important to her. Jordan the Manager is very present and impressively aware of what goes on in the home. Any concerns have been addressed quickly and appropriately by senior staff. Ellie and Jenna are particularly impressive. I've told my children that if I get to the stage when I can no longer look after myself, I would like to live there!
Reply from Jordan Simpson, Care Home Manager at Northcare Residences, GlasgowHi, thank you for the kind words, we will be sure to share these with everyone. I am glad that having undertaken such a big move it has been a really positive step for everyone.

Despite it being a relatively short time since my sister became a resident, I am delighted at how quickly she has settled in to Northcare Residences. Her room has quickly become her new 'home' thanks, in part, to her being able to have a few of her own possessions with her, which she still
uses on
a daily basis.
There is a calming atmosphere throughout the Home, which is beautifully furnished throughout.
The staff are very caring, supportive and treat my sister with respect at all times.
The Home provides a great variety of Activities so there is something for everyone to enjoy.
The rest of her family and I are relaxed in the knowledge that our sister is being well looked after in Northcare Residences.
Reply from Darren McGrory, Business Support Manager at Northcare Residences, GlasgowThank you very much for taking the time to share such kind feedback.

We are delighted to hear how well your sister has settled into Northcare Residences and that her room already feels like home. Being able to personalise her space is something we strongly encourage, so it's lovely to know this has helped her feel comfortable and settled so quickly.

Your comments regarding the calm atmosphere, our activities programme, and-most importantly-our staff team are greatly appreciated. Providing respectful, compassionate care and offering meaningful activities for all residents is central to what we do.

I cannot fault the care that my Dad has received at Drumby. He moved in after having to be hospitalised with the flu and was uable to return to his home. His illness had taken a severe toll on his health and he was a shell of his former self, but with the help and care from EVERYONE at Drumby he is
now thriving. The building itself is a beautiful environment to live in, but it's the people who have made the difference. The management and staff have gone above and beyond to ensure Dad has settled in and have accomodated his specific needs to make his stay the best experience it can be. I can now go back to being his daughter, spending quality time with him in the knowledge that he is safe and happy.
Reply from Craig Moody, Head of Client Relations at Northcare Residences, GlasgowThank you so much for taking the time to share this - it truly means a great deal to our whole team.
We're so pleased to hear how well your Dad is doing and that he is now thriving after such a difficult period. Knowing that our care and support have helped him regain his health and wellbeing is exactly why our team does what they do every day. We are in no doubt that your Dad has settled well.
Your kind words about our staff and management will be shared with the team - they will be incredibly proud to know the difference they've made for your Dad and for you as a family. Being able to return to simply being his daughter and enjoying quality time together is so important, and we're honoured to be able to support you both in that.
Thank you again for your trust and for such thoughtful feedback.
Warmest regards,
Craig Moody

Where to begin describing the care, standards and environment that Northcare have provided for Mum and Dad - and for me. We had a truly horrific experience with their previous care home leaving us stranded and without care. Northcare stepped in and went above and beyond to help us rehome and settle
them. Many care homes will tell you they accommodate dementia patients without proper training which is not the environment that dementia sufferers should be in. The extra training in dementia support that Northcare have had is so apparent in how considerate, intuitive, understanding and kind the staff are. Very simple things like understanding how to create a really special environment for residents and family has such a positive affect for dementia patients that can last for days. In these moments I get the best of Mum and Dad and we all come away feeling loved and light. My Dad said the other day that he understood that the staff at Northcare were his other family. Mine too. Thank you
Reply from Jordan Simpson, Care Home Manager at Northcare Residences, GlasgowHi, thanks for the lovely review. We are delighted the move has been so successful and your Mum and Dad have been getting on so well in this setting. We will make sure to pass this feedback to the full care team.

Having had an excellent previous experience with Northcare we were delighted that there was availability for our Aunt (after a lengthy hospital stay) in Northcare Residences.
From the outset our welcome was warm, friendly, professional and informative. Staff have been excellent with any questions or
queries.
After only a month our Aunt has settled in extremely well and I believe this is in no small part to the level of care and support that has been tailored to meet her individual needs. The surroundings and facilities are first class. It's reassuring and comforting to know that as a family our Aunt is in such good hands.

We were very fortunate to find a place at Northcare Residences, Glasgow Drumby court for our mother.
The environment is superb and spotless. Staff are friendly, professional and approachable. Always on hand.
Our mum does not have enough mobility to make full use of services and activities, but she
is exceptionally well cared for and her whole family, pets included, are always welcomed by staff and management alike.

We have some experience of Care Homes in England and found the standard of care and services provided at Northcare Clarkston have been exceptional, as elaborated below, and exceeded those previously encountered:
Introductions to the home were friendly, thorough, immediate and informative. Our experience
proved that all
information given was accurate.
Management and staff demonstrated flexibility without compromising the effective operation of their services.
Information on conditions, programmes and activities was clear.
Staff worked showing patience and empathy.
Standard of catering was exemplary.
High standard of cleanliness throughout.
Security efficient, without being oppressive.
Residents' privacy was ensured and respected.
Bright attractive building with variety of facilities (cinema, bistro, outside seating, etc.) tastefully fitted out to provide a "homely" ambiance (background music, pictures, ornaments, etc)
Wide variety of imaginative activities to interest residents

My Mum moved into Northcare Residencies followong a stay in hospital. I'm sure, like many others, she was reluctant to embrace her new home. However, all staff, without exception, have made her feel very welcome and encouraged her to participate in the many activities on offer. She is treated with
compassion, understanding and respect at all times and has settled in well. She has a lovely relationship with many of the staff who all go above and beyond to bring a smile. The standard of the care home itself is exceptional and as a family we are delighted with the progress my Mum has made since moving here.

This was the best experience ever for my husband who was very well looked after. When he came home he was more attentive with things that were going on and just seemed more interested which is great. I'm sure this was all to do with the attention and mixing with others all thanks to Northcare. As for
me as my husbands carer I had a very good break. Can I make a suggestion as it was best I didn't visit it would be good to get some feed back from the care home as it is impossible to get any information from the person with dementia.I would have liked to hear how he past some of his time and if he joined in with others. To finish I am very happy I made the good decision to have the respite and especially to an excellent care home like Northcare and would certainly want to do it again.

Overall I was very impressed with the care givers but it was frustrating to have to wait each time one needed the bathroom for an extra staff member to come, although I do understand the principle of working in twos. The home itself is immaculately kept, food was fine and overall a pleasant stay for

My mum moved to Northcare following a lengthy stay at hospital. Since being a resident here her medical condition has greatly improved and staff treat her with dignity, kindness and respect. My mum has built up strong relationships with several of the care team and their knowledge of my mum's likes/dislikes

My Aunt moved into Northcare Residences after a number of weeks in hospital and has settled in well. The home is beautiful throughout and is furnished to a very high standard. Her room is a very good size, is nice and bright and is well appointed with good quality furniture and fittings. The menu is
varied, the food is well presented and enjoyed. The overall standard of cleanliness throughout the building is very impressive. The nursing care team have built up a good relationship with her and I've been impressed with the good communication from them, in addition to the management team who are hands on and keep me well informed. The care is delivered in a friendly and professional way, which she appreciates. The monthly activity list is well organised and gives her a varied selection of activities on a weekly basis. We are pleased with all aspects of Northcare so far.

Just a quick note to let you know how delighted we are with the level of care Mum has received since she arrived a few weeks ago. Everyone without fail seems happy to go the extra mile, and staff are all so friendly and kind as well as appearing to be extremely capable and professional.
Mum has been
reluctant to become involved in social events etc although we can see signs that she is slowly but surely gaining confidence. Staff gentle encouragement has played a huge part in this and we are delighted with the progress she is making.
