Dad is very well looked after in here and the family are very happy to see the quality of care that dad receives. We visit regularly and see how well looked after the residents are and appreciate the lovely staff who are so warm and welcoming to everyone. His room is very nice with a lovely view of
Edinburgh skyline and it is always clean and tidy. The food is always looking and smelling good and i can particularly recommend the tearoom on the 3rd floor where you can have the most delicious cakes and afternoon tea.
Overall a very good facility.

Mum is well cared for and is happy in her own wee world. Care staff are great with her. The care medically is well communicated to us and she seems content. The food and supplied to mum is of a high standard and the catering staff are almost like carers too. The wing is always tidy and her room is also
clean and tidy.

I live in Australia and recently travelled to the UK to support my Uncle as he transitioned from his own home into Clarkston House.
I am very impressed with Clarkston House and the care they provide my Uncle.
Front of House Manager and Home Manager have been wonderful in supporting my Uncle and assisting
me in navigating the complexities of the UK Care Home system.
The facilities are well appointed and clean.
Security is good.
Staff are well mannered, kind, and have a sense of humour. It's nice to see my Uncle having a good laugh with the lovey people supporting him.
The service contracts are well written and easy to understand.
Invoices are prompt and no hidden costs.
In my brief stay in the UK I spoke with the friendly locals and they had positive feedback about Clarkston House, this was comforting to know it has a good reputation in the community.
I wasn't there to see any Activities but the Newsletter provided an overview of the activities available to my Uncle.

Reply from Joel Maronda, Home Manager at Clarkston House

Thank you for sharing your thoughtful feedback. We're truly pleased to hear that your experience with Clarkston House was so positive during your recent visit from Australia. It was a privilege to support your uncle through his transition, and we're glad we could assist you in navigating the UK care system with clarity and reassurance. I recently moved my father from a different care home to Northgate Care Home in Stirling, and can not emphasise what an amazing move it has been. All the staff from initial meeting them, reception, manager, care staff, nurses, staff nurse, hospitality have been lovely. There is a real focus on care,
dignity, respect and treating the residents as guests. Due to the kindness and care my father transitioned from his old care home to this one with no difficulty and stress free.
The actual decor of the home is beautiful and has been cleverly selected, much of it looks like what our loved ones or their parents would have had in their home which gives a sense of familiarity for the residents.
Any issues, queries are quickly dealt with or answered. Good communication helps to ensure dad is getting the best care.
There is a very good mix of activities on offer and what I like is there is a wide range of physical exercise at different times.
Five stars

Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mum has been at Rosaburn for just over 2 years now, and we're so happy with how well she's settled in and been cared for. All the staff from reception onwards are so kind and helpful - we've never had a moment's doubt that Mum is in the right place to get the excellent care that she deserves. There
can be a great loss of dignity with dementia, but the staff know Mum's and the other residents' personalities and quirks and show a great deal of love and respect towards them. They are always quick to let us know of any health issues and treatment that Mum has required. We have 6-monthly reviews, but there's never much to discuss because the communication is so good in the meantime.
Rosaburn is very clean and comfortable, much cosier than I'd expected, and Mum seems to enjoy the food. There are plenty of activities, and the onsite hairdressers do her hair beautifully. The Northcare Finance team have also been very helpful while we navigated the complexities of how Mum's care is funded.

Reply from Amy Johnston, Business Support Administrator at Rosaburn House

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughtful experience. We're delighted to hear how happily your mum has settled into Rosaburn after over two years, we take great pride in providing a warm, respectful, and familiar environment for each of our residents. It means so much to our entire team to know that we've supported your mum's dignity and personality with care and love. Excellent communication is one of our hallmarks, so hearing that our proactive updates and regular six-monthly reviews have given you confidence is especially rewarding. Finding a care home is hard. It was a big shock for Mum and the whole family as she had been so independent until that point. Rosaburn was the last of six homes we looked at in East Kilbride and we knew almost immediately it was the right place for Mum. Residents are treated with respect,

All the

staff, whatever their role, make a real effort to get to know residents individually which is appreciated by Mum and by us. I don't live locally so cannot visit as frequently as I would like but I am always warmly welcomed and can call anytime to speak to Mum or get a full update on her condition from staff. I am confident that the team at Rosaburn give mum the care she needs and keep me in the loop when things change for her.

It took time for Mum to settle in but she seems happy now. She enjoys the dancing, Zumba and singing. It is lovely they make a special effort with Mother's Day afternoon teas and a summer barbeque when residents and their guests can share food and company.

My dad has Alzheimer's. In Jan 25 my family were faced with the reality that dads needs could no longer be met at home. He comes from a loving home and family so this extremely painful to accept.
Since his arrival on 4th April to Lindsayfield Lodge my dad has settled in very well to his unit.
I can't
speak highly enough of all the staff Cross the board. Their dedication to making my dad and my family feel looked after is apparent every day.
I visit the home on a daily basis and have had the pleasure of witnessing first hand the fun activities the residents can enjoy. Equally residents can expect to have a clean, modern living space they can personalise.
There is no expense spared when it comes to ensuring a high standard of living, food, drink, comfort, well being and environment.
They have made my dad feel like a very integral part of his unit and I trust the team explicitly to meet his needs and make his new forever home somewhere he feels safe and able to socialise.
