Mum spent two weeks respite in Northcare Suites with a view to staying there permanently. She loves the home and the staff and has very happily chosen to stay. Her room is beautiful with the most amazing view. The staff have made her feel so at home and very quickly have got to know her likes, dislikes
and interests. It was a big decision for mum and the family to move her from the home she has spent so many years living in but, seeing how happy and well cared for she is, we all know we have made the right decision.
We as a family are delighted with the care, the surroundings and the welcome we get when visiting. Thank you to all involved
Reply from Kirsty Summers, Northcare at Northcare Suites Care HomeThank you so much for sharing such a thoughtful and heartfelt review Ruth. We are truly delighted to hear how happy mum is at Northcare Suites and that she has chosen to make it her home.
We understand what a big and emotional decision this must have been for both mum and your family, and it means a great deal to us that you feel confident it was the right one. It's wonderful to know that she is enjoying her beautiful room, the views, and-most importantly-feeling comfortable and well cared for by our team.
Our staff take great pride in getting to know each resident as an individual, so it's especially rewarding to hear that your mum feels understood and at home.
Thank you also for your kind words about the welcome you receive when visiting. Supporting both our residents and their families is at the heart of everything we do.
We will be sure to share your lovely feedback with the whole team. Thank you again,

It was a big decision for us to move our Mum from another care home, where she had been resident for some years. It has been an extremely positive move for her. In Mum's words, 'Everything is better'. The home has a relaxed atmosphere and is tastefully furbished in a style which reminds Mum of her
own home. It feels more like a quality hotel than a care home. The staff are kind and caring and take time to get to know our Mum and what is important to her. Jordan the Manager is very present and impressively aware of what goes on in the home. Any concerns have been addressed quickly and appropriately by senior staff. Ellie and Jenna are particularly impressive. I've told my children that if I get to the stage when I can no longer look after myself, I would like to live there!
Reply from Jordan Simpson, Care Home Manager at Northcare Residences, GlasgowHi, thank you for the kind words, we will be sure to share these with everyone. I am glad that having undertaken such a big move it has been a really positive step for everyone.

Northcare Suites Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I love that Northcare Suites is so far removed from people's perception of a carehome. It's total luxury and feels like a beautiful hotel. I can't thank the staff enough for everything, everyone of them have done, for my uncle since he moved in. From the management to the domestic staff. My uncle
really didn't want to move in to a care home and infact wouldn't even visit but the long story short is he has moved in, loves it and is very proud of his new home. His room has been substantially personalised to make it a better home from home.
I would recommend this for anyone. I hope this level of care and this amazing environment will be available for me when it's time.
Reply from Kirsty Summers, Northcare at Northcare Suites Care HomeThank you so much for your wonderful review Sue and for taking the time to share your experience with Northcare Suites. It truly means a lot to our whole team.

We're delighted to hear that your uncle has settled in so well and that Northcare Suites has become a place he feels proud to call home. Helping residents feel comfortable, respected and truly "at home" is exactly what we aim for, so it's lovely to hear that personalising his room has helped make the transition easier for him.

Your kind words about our team - from management through to our domestic staff - will be shared with everyone. They all work incredibly hard to create a warm, supportive and welcoming environment, and feedback like yours means the world to them.

Thank you again for your recommendation. We're so pleased that your uncle is happy with us and we look forward to continuing to support him.

Thank you very much,
Kirsty

My brother has Alzheimers and entered Lindsayfield lodge at the end of November. Since entering the home he has become mentally brighter and engages more now with family and with the staff. This is due to the wide range of activities on offer which my brother participates. The staff have been wonderful
in their care of my brother and with the other residents. There is good communication between the home and myself which is very reassuring. I am very happy that he is in Lindsayfield Lodge

3 Bridges is a lovely Home with very caring staff who have made my mother's time there a pleasure. Issues are dealt with timeously and there is always somebody to lend an ear. housing schem in Ilkley West Yorks.

Our family member recently moved to The Balmoral. From our first visit with Robyn at Front of House we were treated with respect and kindness. She answered our many questions and made us feel that nothing is too much trouble. That attitude is shared by the whole staff team. My sister in law receives
wonderful personal care from Care Staff who know her likes/dislikes and specific needs. Hospitality Staff provide a variety of meals/snacks to suit her dietary needs and Housekeeping maintain her clothes and room to a high standard. The Nursing staff are amazing. They communicate with us as a family on a regular basis, highlighting any changes in her condition and ensuring her wellbeing at all times. She takes part, as she chooses, in a variety of impressive activities from the monthly programme. There is a warm and friendly private day room where she can relax and interact with other residents. We could not be happier with the quality of care given and highly recommend The Balmoral.

I can only say that we are even happier with our Mum's care. All of the team, from being greeted into the home, updated with any health concerns by the nurses, and further updated on Mum's wellbeing by the carers has been fantastic. Our Mum is constantly monitored, recently she was clutching her chest,
and as she is mostly non-verbal and couldn't say what was wrong, they immediately checked her oxygen levels and blood pressure which weren't right, phoned us for permission to call an ambulance, got her to hospital, and it turned out to be blood clots on her lungs. Mum was treated for 4 days and is now back at Balmoral as if nothing had happened. We arrived the other day to find a miniature therapy pony visiting. The residents were so happy to meet and stroke the pony, just amazing. The families are invited to join their relatives at the summer barbeque, the brasserie quiz, Mother's day afternoon tea and other fantastic events. Would recommend 100%

A wonderfully caring environment for a respite break from surgery for my mum who fell and broke her hip at the age of 86. Staff were friendly, professional and approachable at all times. Menu choices were great. All the staff were pleasant, polite, professional and approachable. My mum was very apprehensive
beforehand but she was well cared for and made to feel welcome. The addition of a very well appointed brasserie serving teas/coffees/home made cakes for visitors along with a hairdressing facility and cinema, allow me to say that I would not hesitate to recommend this care home to anyone. looking for both respite care or a long term care option for their relatives.

Mum moved into Northcare in December 2023 after a long hospital stay, frail and experiencing delirium and early dementia. After visiting all local homes, we chose Northcare not just for its beautiful, hotel-like surroundings, but for the genuine kindness and warmth of the staff. Her room was bright
and comfortable, always immaculately maintained, and filled with personal belongings that made it feel like home. She enjoyed the facilities, activities, and excellent food, and the low staff turnover allowed her to build meaningful relationships.
When Mum became unwell in January, she was cared for with compassion and dignity. Staff sat with her when we could not be there and supported us so we could remain close. She was kept comfortable and peaceful to the end. We are deeply grateful for the care that made her final years safe and happy, and were deeply moved to see staff at her funeral. It was a lovely way to say goodbye.

My uncle is a resident in The Balmoral. It is welcoming and warm all the staff treat the residents aswell as the visitors with the upmost respect and staff know every resident, including hospitality staff in the brasserie who always welcome you with a warm smile and a lovely cup of coffee..
My family
are very happy with the care my uncle receives. He is spotless as well as the surroundings , he is very happy which gives my Aunt and cousin peace of mind that he is being so well taken care of.
I am a trained nurse and am so impressed with the level of care each resident gets and maintains dignity and respect at all times.
The Balmoral feels like a beautiful comfortable well maintained home with memory photographs on the walls and suitable nic naks dotted around on beautiful tables and sideboards.
Mealtimes are in a well appointed dining room and quality food is served three times a day aswell as coffee/tea any time they ask.
It truly is a home from home,

We can't thank Balmoral by Northcare enough for the care they give my dad. The absolute best thing about this place is the staff. Every single one of them goes above and beyond, not just in meeting his needs, but in making him feel genuinely at home.
That care extends to the whole family too, you're
always made to feel welcome, supported and included.
They also offer fantastic activities, which make a real difference day to day. The cinema is a brilliant touch, not just for residents, but also for keeping the kids entertained while the grown-ups have time to talk. There are lovely home-baked goods, and a beautiful upstairs area where we can take Dad for a coffee and some quiet time together, without him needing to leave the home.
It's clear how much thought, warmth and care goes into everything they do. Knowing Dad is in such a compassionate, engaging environment gives us enormous peace of mind. We're incredibly grateful.
Reply from Robyn Cooper, Administrator at Balmoral by NorthcareThank you so much for your fantastic review, we are so thrilled to hear how at home not only Dad feels but also the full family. I will be sure to pass on your lovely words to our full team at Balmoral.

My mum has received excellent support since moving into the home. The staff offer truly bespoke care and constant reassurance, always taking the time to understand her needs. Mum has Alzheimer's and what means the most to us is how the team treat her like the true lady she has always been. She has always
taken pride in her appearance and the staff ensure she is beautifully presented, comfortable, and cared for every day. Their kindness and respect give our family real peace of mind and we're deeply grateful for the way they look after her
Reply from John Selbie, Care Home manager at 3 Bridges Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and heartfelt review. It truly means a great deal to the whole team to know that your mum feels supported, comfortable, and cared for since moving into the home.

We are especially touched by your kind words about how she is treated and presented. Taking the time to understand each person as an individual-and honouring who they have always been-is at the heart of everything we do. Knowing that your mum's pride, dignity, and sense of self are being respected is something we hold very close.

Your appreciation for the team's kindness and reassurance will be shared with everyone, as it is incredibly motivating and affirming for them. We're so pleased we can give your family peace of mind, and we're truly grateful for the trust you place in us to care for your mum.

Thank you again for your lovely feedback-it means more than you know.

Despite it being a relatively short time since my sister became a resident, I am delighted at how quickly she has settled in to Northcare Residences. Her room has quickly become her new 'home' thanks, in part, to her being able to have a few of her own possessions with her, which she still
uses on
a daily basis.
There is a calming atmosphere throughout the Home, which is beautifully furnished throughout.
The staff are very caring, supportive and treat my sister with respect at all times.
The Home provides a great variety of Activities so there is something for everyone to enjoy.
The rest of her family and I are relaxed in the knowledge that our sister is being well looked after in Northcare Residences.
Reply from Darren McGrory, Business Support Manager at Northcare Residences, GlasgowThank you very much for taking the time to share such kind feedback.

We are delighted to hear how well your sister has settled into Northcare Residences and that her room already feels like home. Being able to personalise her space is something we strongly encourage, so it's lovely to know this has helped her feel comfortable and settled so quickly.

Your comments regarding the calm atmosphere, our activities programme, and-most importantly-our staff team are greatly appreciated. Providing respectful, compassionate care and offering meaningful activities for all residents is central to what we do.
