This care home is just THE absolute BEST care home there is especially in the Stirling area. Myself and my Brother looked around various care homes for my Mum and none came up to this North Care care home's level of exceptional care. They are all friendly staff and dependable. My Mum, despite having
Vascular Dementia, is very very happy there and is totally well looked after so we as her children are very pleased as not an easy job I'm sure. Both reception staff and the manager Robert are lovely, amazing and friendly staff too.

Cannot recommend this home enough, from the minute you walk through the door there is a calm relaxing ambience and welcoming environment. All the staff are friendly and attentive with nothing too much trouble to them. Mum has settled in beautifully and it really is a home from home environment where
her comfort and care is the staffs priority and always at the forefront of their minds. We are indebted to the staff for the kindness and dignity shown in looking after mum and the encouragement and assistance given particularly at mealtimes with exceptional standards of food provided. The staff at the care home are incredibly kind and accommodating, and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Everyone throughout the home is welcoming and genuinely caring. The food is absolutely wonderful, with plenty of choices and alternatives always available. Most importantly, the personal
care is delivered with such compassion and to an exceptionally high standard. I cannot thank the staff enough for the warmth, kindness, and dedication they show every day. There is nothing negative to say at all, and I would wholeheartedly recommend this care home.

We couldn't be happier with the care my mum is receiving at this home. The place itself is beautiful - tastefully decorated, calm, and immaculately clean, which immediately gives a sense of comfort and reassurance.
The staff are truly exceptional. They are warm, friendly, and kind, and it's clear they
genuinely care about the residents. This means so much to us as a family.
The food is of a very high standard, and there is an impressive range of activities every day. Residents are never left sitting idle - there is a wonderful balance of physical exercise, mental stimulation, and social, activities that keep everyone engaged and involved.
Communication has been excellent throughout. The staff keep both myself and my brother fully informed about any health or settling-in matters and always go out of their way to ensure mum is cared for to the highest standard.
We are extremely grateful for the care, professionalism and kindness shown to mum and highly recommend this care home.

Northcare staff facilitated a cinema experience afternoon to allow us to have more family time for what is our relatives first Christmas there. Angela couldn't have been more helpful in the organising process and communication was excellent as always. The staff provided cinema snacks and treats along
with mince pies and coffee for afterwards. They even supplied our fussy 7 year old with his favourite caramel shortbread. This allowed us to let the kids stay and spend more time with loved ones without worrying about them distracting other residents (Xmas is a very excitable time). The care and compassion shown by all staff for our family member puts our minds at ease that she's safe and well supported.
Reply from Angela Reid, Front of House Manager at Northcare Residences StirlingThank you so much for the lovely review. It is our pleasure to arrange cinema experiences for families at Northcare to allow you to enjoy quality time together. Delighted that the snacks and drinks were well received by everyone too!
The team strive to ensure the care delivered is always to the highest standard and will share your kind words with the wider team.

The balmoral looks very luxurious but the owners have prioritised looks over substance. My uncle has been at Balmoral for 6 months and has had 3 falls during this time including one which resulted in a fractured hip. There does not appear to be an appropriate ratio of carers to clients particularly
during the evenings and weekends. I have waited over 15 minutes with my uncle in his room after pressing the emergency buzzer which is not an acceptable time to wait. We have had to highlight the cleanliness of his room and bathroom (urine all over the floor) on several occasions. There are also communication issues within Balmoral and it is clear messages and information is not shared among staff. Lovely looking establishment but the level of care does not match this.
Reply from Abbie Whitecross, Care Home Manager at Balmoral by NorthcareThank you for sharing your feedback. I am very sorry to hear about your uncle's experiences and the distress this has caused your family. We take these concerns extremely seriously. We continually monitor staffing and reinforce cleaning, and review procedures to protect residents' dignity and safety.
I am also sorry for the communication issues you have experienced. Effective communication with families is essential, and your feedback has been shared with the Directors and Head of Care. While we are proud of our environment, quality care must always come first. Noted that you have spoken with our Head of Client Relations and we are internally reviewing before suggesting a meeting to review.
Thank you again for bringing this to our attention.

Mum has been at home in Rosaburn for two years.Mum and the family have got to know the carers and management which ensures we can communicate freely.
Mum is treated with dignity and respect and has fun with all the carers who seem to know what each resident needs as individuals.
Mum loves the food
which just keeps on coming and this is great as mum was always fussy about her food.
The Team work hard to keep the residents stimulated and content with a wide range of activities.

Our family would like to share how incredibly grateful we are for the care and support our mum has received at Rosaburn.
She has now been at Rosaburn for two weeks, and the difference in her is unbelievable. Before arriving, Mum was spending most days and nights alone at home, with visitors during
the day. Now she's taking part in activities we never imagined she would try - chair yoga, chair Zumba, exercise sessions, and social mealtimes with other residents. She's far more alert, engaged, and genuinely enjoying herself.
Her room is lovely, and the staff couldn't be any nicer - warm, friendly, caring, and truly dedicated to the residents' wellbeing. You can clearly see how much they care. The home itself is beautiful, welcoming, and has such a positive atmosphere.
We are now hoping Mum can stay long-term, as we feel confident this will be the right place for her. Thank you to all the staff at Rosaburn - you have made an incredible difference, we are truly grateful!

Having had an excellent previous experience with Northcare we were delighted that there was availability for our Aunt (after a lengthy hospital stay) in Northcare Residences.
From the outset our welcome was warm, friendly, professional and informative. Staff have been excellent with any questions or
queries.
After only a month our Aunt has settled in extremely well and I believe this is in no small part to the level of care and support that has been tailored to meet her individual needs. The surroundings and facilities are first class. It's reassuring and comforting to know that as a family our Aunt is in such good hands.

My Mum needed some respite care following hospitalisation. From first contact all the staff were excellent. Mum stayed 3 weeks and got just the care and attention we hoped for. The room and facilities are all first class but it is the staff which is the differentiator. Debbie and Kirsty were very
helpful and supportive and they obviously recruit and manage the staff very well. The atmosphere seems very genuine and caring. All the staff I met seemed compassionate and had time to look after Mum. Very impressive. Well done everybody and thank you

My dad was welcomed as a resident in North Care residences at the beginning of the year with an advanced medical condition, which had suddenly changed his plans to live independently with family support. We, his family, were initially anxious and quite fearful for my dad's well-being and future care.
I
can only say that all staff, including the visiting GP, have been incredible throughout. Dad's medical needs are on-going and quite complex and the devotion to getting him the right medical care for his ever changing condition has been truly amazing. Nursing staff always go the extra mile to keep my sister and I informed.
Staff are so kind and attentive - we can tell that they all really know our dad; they "hold his hand" and chat away to him when he needs a little TLC. and treat him with such dignity.
To sum up, at the end of a recent short hospital stay, dad said to our brother that he was looking forward to "getting home to his second family" You can't do better than that.

Northcare Residences Stirling

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
Generally an excellent Nursing Home. The facilities it offers are in a class of their own. The level of care, compassion and detail are impressive. The Staff are helpful, compassionate and always have time even when they are under time pressure. Communication is excellent at the managerial and nursing
staff/care level. One relatively small comment would be the bedroom size is quite limiting if one is a wheel chair user but it is adequate. Generally my Mum and all the family are very impressed and happy with Northcare Stirling and their hard working staff.

Rosaburn House

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My wife was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's, which progressed to the stage of requiring residential care. As a family, we explored the options available through a number of Care Homes, and settled on Rosaburn House. She entered Rosaburn in February 2025 and settled into the environment. The building
is modern, yet it contains pictures of nostalgia to help the residents feel at home.

The bedrooms are spacious, and personalisation is supported. All the staff are very supportive of my wife, and encourage her to participate in everything that the home has to offer. They all know her and interact with her, treating her as part of an extended family.

I am extremely satisfied with the treatment my wife receives, and the treatment we, as a family and friends, receive. Issues are quickly resolved, and we are kept up to date on any developments in her care.

This type of decision is not an easy one to make, but Rosaburn House provides excellent care and peace of mind.

Reply from Amy Johnston, Business Support Administrator at Rosaburn HouseThank you for your kind and thoughtful review. Clarkston House

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I was at Clarkston House last Sunday and needed a form completed regarding Council Tax. When I was leaving I met Robyn, who was on her day off. I told her what I needed and said I would send my husband back up on the Monday. Robyn insisted on taking it there and then and I got my response on the Monday.
My
Aunt has been with you for just over a year and Robyn has always been very friendly and helpful, nothing seems to be a bother for her.
Reply from Craig Moody, Head of Client Relations at Clarkston HouseThank you so much for taking the time to share your lovely feedback.
