My father was happy and well looked after. The staff were very caring and he enjoyed using the gym and library. His room gave him direct access to the garden which gave him a feeling of freedom and independence.

My mum has Alzheimer's and moved into Bramshot recently. The staff have been so wonderful helping her to settle in, make sure she is cared for, joins in and knows what's going on. They bring humour and calm to every situation.

The family liaison manager was such a help through the process, so considerate and compassionate with the difficulty's of the move. She really made the process easy and made mum and I so welcome

Review of Bramshott Grange Care Home from Mark S (Son-in-law of Resident) published on 21 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
We were really impressed by the high level of support provided when we realised that our relative would need the immediate services of a nursing home. Nothing was too much trouble for their team; we were given a comprehensive tour of the excellent facilities and we had detailed conversations with the medical staff to ensure that all her needs would be suitably addressed. Once we took the decision to go with Bramshott Grange, the arrangements for transfer and joining the home were made quickly and efficiently.
Both the standard of accommodation and the quality of the care provided by the staff at the home remains impressive. These high standards are reinforced by regular contact with us, used to highlight any issues or concerns that inevitably arise from time to time as medical requirements change. We are now considerably less stressed, knowing that our relative is well cared for and safe.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursing home to others.

My mother was reluctant to move into a care home but she settled in at PMG enjoying her room overlooking the quiet garden at the back, watching the birds and squirrels.
All the staff are amazing - welcoming, friendly, compassionate, caring. My mother spent a lot of time smiling at them even when she found speaking difficult. They became like family to her and us.
The range of activities for residents is truly impressive with lots going on every day including coffee mornings, concerts and outings. All residents are encouraged to join in as much as they are able to, with separate appropriate activities for those who live with dementia.
The food is good with lots of choice and you can go off menu too - tuna sandwiches were all my mother ate for supper for over two years!

I am very glad we discovered PMG; it's a good place to be when you need some extra support and assistance.

I have had over 5 years of contact with PMG. They have taken excellent care of my very unwell sister. The staff are very caring and approachable, especially if you have difficult topics to discuss. The food and activities are excellent and the home has a very homely atmosphere.

I don't hesitate to recommend the nursing home , as it is never easy to see a relative go into a care home .

Not only was my husband immediately welcomed and given a tour but I was also supported. It was a difficult decision for him to leave home and go into full time care. Unfortunately I could not cope with all his different needs but they are more than adequately cater for at Bramshott Grange

Not only do they support his health needs but also offer a wide range of activities to keep him occupied and entertained.

Visiting friends and relatives are also made most welcome and there are plenty of private areas for our visits.

I visited twelve other homes and none compare so completely with Bramshott Grange and I know my husband is safe and cherished when I am not thete

My relative recently stayed at Bramshott Grange for a respite period, and the care he received was exceptional. Everything was arranged quickly, and the team handled the admission with such reassurance and professionalism that his first stay felt far less daunting. Staff took time to understand his needs and helped him settle comfortably. The support offered to me and my family also stood out. The team recognised that respite care involves the whole family and guided us through the process with kindness and clarity. They also went above and beyond in helping us find a permanent placement closer to home, liaising with the new setting and supporting the handover. This level of commitment extended beyond the respite stay.Overall, Bramshott Grange provided a warm, safe, well-run environment. The professionalism and thoughtful support offered to both my relative and our family made the experience reassuring and positive.

I was impressed by the facilities on offer, for example the access to books and exercise. Every member of staff I had contact with was polite, charming and eager to please.

Personally, I felt that the standard of some of the meals was below the standard I had expected. Also I was disapointed not to have a view. For a personal note, I felt that my bed was not as comfortable as anticipated.

The care my mother received in Bramshott Grange was first class. Mum's only complaint was that the food was "a bit tough", but apart from that we couldn't fault it. The carers, support staff and management were empathetic, caring, personal and generally fantastic. Many many thanks to all involved.

My mother has recently become a permanent resident at Glenburnie Lodge, after a short respite stay in December 2025. I cannot fault the excellent care she is receiving. I have nothing but good things to say.
The staff are fantastic
The food menu always looks great.
The variety of daily activities is great.
Mum gets involved in all of the activities and seems to enjoy them
Mum's room is very homely
The Care Home is always spotless and has a lovely welcoming feeling
I get regular updates about her welbeing which is reassuring as I live 50 miles away
The social media page is such a good idea as I can get to see regular photo's of mum to see what she has been up to.

Making the decision to move mum to Bramshott Grange was not an easy one. Now that we have done it I think it's the best possible decision we could have made. When she was living alone in her house she was becoming very isolated and lonely. Now she lives in a very frienly environment and she is surrounded by people all of the time. Credit needs to go to the staff who will go the extra mile to make sure mum is happy.

My Mother has had several visits for respite since September 2025 and she has now become a permanent resident at Bramshott Grange. From the first visit and being shown around all staff we met were professional, knowledgeable and caring. This is a luxury care home and every want is catered for in spotless surroundings. My 97 year old Mother is very happy living here and because she is a sociable person she has made nice friends and enjoys all the activities available. Mum enjoys the food here and drinks/cake and fruit are always on offer. Mum finds the staff very kind and agreeable to her. The garden is perfectly laid out for Mum walking with her walking aid and plenty of seating and table on the patio. For myself, and my wife, the Home Director and Family Liaison Officer have been incredibly helpful and patient throughout the whole process of transferring Mum - from her home of over sixty years - to her now new home at Bramshott Grange.

Our mother moved into Bramshott Grange in January 2026 so has now been a resident for almost 5 months.
The pre-admission stage was exemplary & included many visits & a home visit. Communication & care were faultless from both the Family Liaison Officer (Louise) & the Manager (Pam). They could not have done more to facilitate mums transition.
Considering huge changes in her life, mum is adjusting well to her new surroundings. The food is exceptionally good & the range of activities offered are excellent. Every single member of staff we have encountered has been professional & caring - nothing is ever too much trouble.

Having visited 5 homes locally, Bramshott Grange stood out as the best by far & we stand by our decision & would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

Review of Foxhunters Care Community from Sarah D (Daughter of Resident) published on 2 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Mam has been at Foxhunter for just over 5 years. She suffers with dementia and can get good and bad days. The carers are always aware and switched on with her needs, if she needs a lie in they will make sure when she's ready she gets her breakfast and shower, care is definitely relative to the person not a blanket approach which is really important. Mam is always clean, moisturised and smelling lovely. She's always dressed in one of her pretty dresses and has a cwtchy blanket as she feels the cold. She is always involved in various entertainment if she is in the mood to attend. Mam on the whole has a good appetite and always enjoys the meals and puddings, there is always a fresh drink nearby. All in all from the cooks, cleaners, carers, nurses and laundry, entertainment and receptions staff when I leave after a visit I know she's in very safe hands.

My father has just spent 2 weeks respite care at Foxhunter Care Home in Abergavenny. The standard of care was amazing, the staff were incredible and the food was outstanding. All the staff were friendly, kind and fun. My father has come out of the home with improved mobility and a smile on his face. We can't thank everyone at the Foxhunter enough. They looked after my father so well and to the rest of the family, they were welcoming and understanding of our concerns about my father after his lengthy stay in hospital. My mother was a resident at Foxhunters for three years until her death in March2026.
The home itself is beautifully decorated and furnished with individual en-suite rooms.
Food was excellent and residents could even have a glass of wine with meals
From the very first she was well looked after with lots of activities to keep her entertained .
The staff from management, housekeeping, reception and of course the nurses and carers were excellent.
As mum's health deteriorated the home contacted mental health nurse and other professionals to assess her.
When mum had a stroke she was sent to hospital for assessment but returned to Foxhunters the following day for end of life care.
And what care she had for the last few days, the staff were amazing and so very caring.
I was so impressed by everyone.

Thank youx

My Mother has just left the home following a month of respite care. She was treated and cared for wonderfully by all the staff. Great care was taken to make her welcome and safe and both my sister and I were made to feel very confident that she would be looked after in what was a very challenging period for us as a family. Visits to her were made easy and relaxed and information about how she was doing and how things were going were shared with us regularly. In short we would heartily recommend Brockington House and thank everyone there for looking after our mother so well

My father became a resident at Foxhunters in June 2025 after a fall at home and a cancer diagnosis of 6 months to live. From day 1, he received excellent care and was happy and settled. Even after another fall and hip fracture in October, the nurses and carers were so attentive and kind. He was always clean and dressed. Dad's last days were made so much better and less painful thanks to the staff. My sisters and I wish Dad had gone into Foxhunters much earlier.
