When I initially reviewed the care home Pine Martin Grange, I was struck by the friendly, caring staff. Also, I was impressed with the cosy, homely feel. Light and airy, modern but retaining pockets of quiet areas for chill out times. Loved the fact rooms back on to patio area. Since my mother's stay,
all residents wax lyrical about the food and enjoy the activities. Staff all work above and beyond, all appear to enjoy their jobs.

Based on my mother's experience at Foxhunters my biggest regret is that I didn't move her elsewhere sooner. If you are looking for peace of mind for your loved one I would spend your/their money elsewhere.
Reply from Leah Mort, Manager at Foxhunters Care CommunityI am sorry that you were not happy with the standard of care and service that was provided to your mother during her 20 month stay in the home. We always addressed concerns at the time you reported them and resolved them. The concerns you raised after your mother left were also addressed. We take all negative comments very seriously but are proud of the fact that most of our reviews are positive reflecting our CIW excellent rated home.

The purpose of my stay at Brockington House, for nearly 7 weeks was to recuperate from surgery to my knees. During this time my main aim to achieve the best recovery, was combining rest and regular exercises. It always felt to me that all members of staff, of any role, ensured I was cared for aplenty.
Even during some dark recovery days, staff gave me encouragement, dignity, respect, empathy with kindness and always tasty meals, a cosy bedroom and plenty of entertainment every day - if I desired. It is a happy place. I feel grateful to have chosen Brockington to help me heal.
Reply from Alexandra Onisor, RGN and Deputy Manager at Brockington HouseThank you so much for sharing your wonderful feedback. It means a great deal to us to know you felt respected, comfortable, and well supported by everyone.

When my friend was diagnosed with early dementia and Alzheimer's, she made the decision herself to move to Brockington. She liked the "Hotel with Care" and the wine with her meals! Not to mention the silver service! During her 3 years at Brockington House, her changing needs have been more than met,
and it has been a great comfort to me knowing that she has been happy and so well cared for. Without exception, the staff are brilliant, such a remarkable team with such a skilful leader.

Glenburnie Lodge

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Prior to March 2025, dad lived independently until he suffered a severe stroke resulting in a nine month stay in hospital & unable to return home .
During this time we approached several different Care Communities that offered to meet dads needs , however, we were instantly impressed ( a decision
process shared equally with my three siblings) when we met the Team at Glenburnie who demonstrated a professional & empathetic understanding of not only what dad was going through but also what we as a family were feeling . The ethos that has been fostered there gave us confidence that our dad would be well cared for & we are delighted to say that has been the case since dad joined in November 2025.
We are extremely grateful to all at Glenburnie , in addition to the excellent nursing team everyone else is also a "carer", the admin team, housekeeping, maintenance, catering & the activities co-ordinator are wonderful .the home is clean with quality & comfortable furnishings .Thank you.
Reply from Roshni Khahira, Customer Relationship Manager at Glenburnie LodgeThank you, Ann, for your kind and heartfelt review.
We are honoured that you and your siblings chose Glenburnie to care for your dad after such a difficult time. It means a great deal to know that our team's empathy, professionalism, and ethos gave your family confidence and reassurance from the outset.
Your appreciation of our nursing team and the wider Glenburnie team - from administration to housekeeping, catering, maintenance, and activities - will be warmly shared. We truly believe everyone plays a part in caring for our residents.
We're delighted that your dad has settled well since joining us in November 2025. Thank you for your trust and kind words; it is a privilege to care for him and support your family.

My 90 year old uncle came to Glenburnie Lodge in July 2025. Prior to this, he lived independently but was unable to continue due to health issues. I was amazed how quickly he settled in. I think this is down to the fabulous staff who are so very kind, attentive and hard working. Not only do they support
my uncle, who needs a lot of care, but I also felt supported and comforted, knowing he was receiving the best care. Glenburnie is a warm and welcoming care home with beautiful rooms and areas where people can meet and enjoy all the activities that staff create. The coffee lounge is his favourite. I would recommend Glenburnie Lodge 100%

Caerwyn has had a wonderful stay here, he has spoken to me when I've called and conveyed he is happy, enjoyed the food, he has told me that he has been doing a lot of walking with his frame, which is amazing as he has struggled with mobility this year in particular. Thank you so much for looking after
him, I hope he can come back, but after a lovely worry free break, I am pleased to take him home today. Lots of love Karen.
