Bramshott Grange Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Our mother moved into Bramshott Grange in January 2026 so has now been a resident for almost 5 months.
The pre-admission stage was exemplary & included many visits & a home visit. Communication & care were faultless from both the Family Liaison Officer (Louise) & the Manager (Pam). They could not
have done more to facilitate mums transition.
Considering huge changes in her life, mum is adjusting well to her new surroundings. The food is exceptionally good & the range of activities offered are excellent. Every single member of staff we have encountered has been professional & caring - nothing is ever too much trouble.
Having visited 5 homes locally, Bramshott Grange stood out as the best by far & we stand by our decision & would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

My Mother has had several visits for respite since September 2025 and she has now become a permanent resident at Bramshott Grange. From the first visit and being shown around all staff we met were professional, knowledgeable and caring. This is a luxury care home and every want is catered for in spotless
surroundings. My 97 year old Mother is very happy living here and because she is a sociable person she has made nice friends and enjoys all the activities available. Mum enjoys the food here and drinks/cake and fruit are always on offer. Mum finds the staff very kind and agreeable to her. The garden is perfectly laid out for Mum walking with her walking aid and plenty of seating and table on the patio. For myself, and my wife, the Home Director and Family Liaison Officer have been incredibly helpful and patient throughout the whole process of transferring Mum - from her home of over sixty years - to her now new home at Bramshott Grange.

Foxhunters Care Community

Mam has been at Foxhunter for just over 5 years. She suffers with dementia and can get good and bad days. The carers are always aware and switched on with her needs, if she needs a lie in they will make sure when she's ready she gets her breakfast and shower, care is definitely relative to the person
not a blanket approach which is really important. Mam is always clean, moisturised and smelling lovely. She's always dressed in one of her pretty dresses and has a cwtchy blanket as she feels the cold. She is always involved in various entertainment if she is in the mood to attend. Mam on the whole has a good appetite and always enjoys the meals and puddings, there is always a fresh drink nearby. All in all from the cooks, cleaners, carers, nurses and laundry, entertainment and receptions staff when I leave after a visit I know she's in very safe hands.
Reply from Leah Mort, Manager at Foxhunters Care CommunityThank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review of your mam's experience with us.
It means a great deal to hear that you feel she is receiving person-centred care that reflects her individual needs and preferences. We understand that living with dementia can bring both good and challenging days, and our team is committed to supporting each resident with compassion, dignity and flexibility.

We are delighted that you have noticed the care and attention given to your mam's comfort, appearance, wellbeing and daily routine. Ensuring that residents feel valued, comfortable and able to enjoy activities at their own pace is something we take great pride in.
Your kind words about all our teams will be shared with everyone. They work incredibly hard to create a warm, safe and welcoming environment for all our residents.
Thank you once again for your continued trust and support over the past five years.

My father has just spent 2 weeks respite care at Foxhunter Care Home in Abergavenny. The standard of care was amazing, the staff were incredible and the food was outstanding. All the staff were friendly, kind and fun. My father has come out of the home with improved mobility and a smile on his face.
We can't thank everyone at the Foxhunter enough. They looked after my father so well and to the rest of the family, they were welcoming and understanding of our concerns about my father after his lengthy stay in hospital. Thank you again to the entire team at the Foxhunter especially Stuart (a fellow northern!)

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother was a resident at Foxhunters for three years until her death in March2026.
The home itself is beautifully decorated and furnished with individual en-suite rooms.
Food was excellent and residents could even have a glass of wine with meals
From the very first she was well looked after with lots
of activities to keep her entertained .
The staff from management, housekeeping, reception and of course the nurses and carers were excellent.
As mum's health deteriorated the home contacted mental health nurse and other professionals to assess her.
When mum had a stroke she was sent to hospital for assessment but returned to Foxhunters the following day for end of life care.
And what care she had for the last few days, the staff were amazing and so very caring.
I was so impressed by everyone.
Thank youx

My Mother has just left the home following a month of respite care. She was treated and cared for wonderfully by all the staff. Great care was taken to make her welcome and safe and both my sister and I were made to feel very confident that she would be looked after in what was a very challenging period
for us as a family. Visits to her were made easy and relaxed and information about how she was doing and how things were going were shared with us regularly. In short we would heartily recommend Brockington House and thank everyone there for looking after our mother so well

My father became a resident at Foxhunters in June 2025 after a fall at home and a cancer diagnosis of 6 months to live. From day 1, he received excellent care and was happy and settled. Even after another fall and hip fracture in October, the nurses and carers were so attentive and kind. He was always
clean and dressed. Dad's last days were made so much better and less painful thanks to the staff. My sisters and I wish Dad had gone into Foxhunters much earlier.

Following a stroke, my 96-year-old mother could no longer live independently. 24/7 care was needed.
Mum has settled in really well and is positively thriving in the home environment.
All of the staff go the extra mile and really encourage Mum to remain as independent as possible. Joining with other
residents for activities and meals has been of great benefit to her. Happy and healthy. Couldn't ask for more.

When I initially reviewed the care home Pine Martin Grange, I was struck by the friendly, caring staff. Also, I was impressed with the cosy, homely feel. Light and airy, modern but retaining pockets of quiet areas for chill out times. Loved the fact rooms back on to patio area. Since my mother's stay,
all residents wax lyrical about the food and enjoy the activities. Staff all work above and beyond, all appear to enjoy their jobs.

The purpose of my stay at Brockington House, for nearly 7 weeks was to recuperate from surgery to my knees. During this time my main aim to achieve the best recovery, was combining rest and regular exercises. It always felt to me that all members of staff, of any role, ensured I was cared for aplenty.
Even during some dark recovery days, staff gave me encouragement, dignity, respect, empathy with kindness and always tasty meals, a cosy bedroom and plenty of entertainment every day - if I desired. It is a happy place. I feel grateful to have chosen Brockington to help me heal.

Not to mention the silver service! During her 3 years at Brockington House, her changing needs have been more than met,

Prior to March 2025, dad lived independently until he suffered a severe stroke resulting in a nine month stay in hospital & unable to return home .
During this time we approached several different Care Communities that offered to meet dads needs , however, we were instantly impressed ( a decision
process shared equally with my three siblings) when we met the Team at Glenburnie who demonstrated a professional & empathetic understanding of not only what dad was going through but also what we as a family were feeling . The ethos that has been fostered there gave us confidence that our dad would be well cared for & we are delighted to say that has been the case since dad joined in November 2025.
We are extremely grateful to all at Glenburnie , in addition to the excellent nursing team everyone else is also a "carer", the admin team, housekeeping, maintenance, catering & the activities co-ordinator are wonderful .the home is clean with quality & comfortable furnishings .Thank you.

Your appreciation of our nursing team and the wider Glenburnie team - from administration to housekeeping, catering, maintenance, and activities - will be warmly shared. We truly believe everyone plays a part in caring for our residents.

My 90 year old uncle came to Glenburnie Lodge in July 2025. Prior to this, he lived independently but was unable to continue due to health issues. I was amazed how quickly he settled in. I think this is down to the fabulous staff who are so very kind, attentive and hard working. Not only do they support
my uncle, who needs a lot of care, but I also felt supported and comforted, knowing he was receiving the best care. Glenburnie is a warm and welcoming care home with beautiful rooms and areas where people can meet and enjoy all the activities that staff create. The coffee lounge is his favourite.
