In my experience the staff are always helpful, compassionate and considerate. There ars numerous activities laid on for the residents and visitors are made to feel welcome. There are several quiet private spaces available for use by guests and residents where you can sit and talk without being disturbed.

We cannot praise Bramshott Grange highly enough for the welcome and care they showed my mother-in-law when she came to stay for a week. Every member of staff was attentive and positive and we were amazed at how quickly they all got to know Jane by name. Nothing was too much trouble. Jane herself, was reluctant to go and 'try it' at first, but by the end of the week she was asking when she could move in. Bramshott Grange offered her such a range of activities to participate in and so much attention and companionship that we really saw her blossom over the course of the week. She became more mobile and physically stronger and mentally more switched on and engaged. This is exactly what a care home should be like - the client at the centre of all they do. The peace of mind it gives relatives is so reassuring. We are very much looking forward to placing Jane in their care more permanently.

my husband was a resident for 4 months. Throughout his time his care was excellent, he had a very good rapport with all the staff, who said they were very fond of him. His end of life care was superb. Brockington has a wonderful atmosphere as soon as one arrives, welcoming & friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Admin excellent too.

All staff I have met are friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. This includes auxiliary personnel like those working in laundry and maintenance as well as the front line managers and care workers. Residents are treated as individuals.

At the end of this period she was clearly thriving and had settled in well. We decided to keep Mum at Foxhunters as the care she was receiving in this lovely home was second to none. The staff are dedicated, kind, warm and friendly and their residents' welfare is always their priority. Mum enjoys the freshly prepared home cooked food at Foxhunters and I believe this has contributed greatly to her wellbeing during her time there. The ensuite rooms are beautiful and many have stunning views over the lovely peaceful gardens onto the Blorenge Mountain beyond. There are also communal areas and balconies from which to enjoy the views. There is a large and varied programme of daily activities for the residents to enjoy, from musical events, to gardening, Tai Chi and Keep Fit, as well as an on site hairdresser, coffee shop, bar and gym. Thank you Foxhunters for giving Mum a new lease of life!

Our Mum was a resident at Brockington for just under two years. Having reached a difficult stage while living at home, she quickly flourished after moving in and went on to enjoy two happy and fulfilling years in the care of the wonderful Brockington team.

The staff, affectionately known as the "Pinkies", are truly exceptional. They cared for Mum with kindness, dignity, compassion and genuine affection. She loved their company and took great comfort in the relationships she formed with those who looked after her.

Brockington is a warm, welcoming home with first-class facilities and a wonderful atmosphere. Every visit was a pleasure, and we will always remember the kindness shown to our family and the friendly welcome from the staff.

Having visited many care homes, Brockington stood out immediately. We feel incredibly fortunate to have found such an outstanding home for Mum. Our heartfelt thanks to every member of staff. We will be forever grateful.

The manager and Reception staff are all very helpful and the carers treat my brother with the greatest respect. He is having a good life despite his dementia

I would recommend Foxhunters - it is second to none for facilities, activities and a much higher than average staff to residents ratio. However, there were initial problems getting Dad's care plan right and lack of consistency amongst staff about recording falls. It took management weeks to resolve these issues. I am now much more relaxed about Dad being at Foxhunters and no longer worry about him. I just wish the settling in period could have been managed better.

It may be that others have a smoother start than us; I hope this is the case for the majority.

Having taken the large decision to move my elderly mother into a care home, we chose Foxhunters Care Community in Abergavenny and could not be happier with the care she has received. The care home is of the highest standard in terms of cleanliness, utilities and accessibility but most importantly, the care and compassion offered by ALL the staff is consistently first class and offered with a smiling face. As next of kin to my Aunt it was a big and emotional decision to find the right care setting when she could no longer live at home. From the moment I walked across the threshold I was overwhelmed with the friendly and caring atmosphere of Foxhunters. By the end of my visit I knew it was the right place for my Aunt as it was somewhere I would like to stay myself. 7 months on my Aunt has settled in really well made new friends, enjoys the food, entertainment and faultless care. Has her own front door to a lovely room and I have peace of mind knowing that she is well cared for and I'm kept up to date even when I'm away. I would highly recommend Foxhunters.

Very pleased with the care my Dad is receiving at Foxhunter. He moved in the beginning of June and settled really well. This is due to the care that he receives. The staff communicate with each other and ourselves really well if any issue arises. The food is outstanding and his bedroom always smells clean. Dad is always well dressed and presentable. We are very happy with Foxhunters.

My father was happy and well looked after. The staff were very caring and he enjoyed using the gym and library. His room gave him direct access to the garden which gave him a feeling of freedom and independence.

My relative recently stayed at Bramshott Grange for a respite period, and the care he received was exceptional. Everything was arranged quickly, and the team handled the admission with such reassurance and professionalism that his first stay felt far less daunting. Staff took time to understand his needs and helped him settle comfortably. The support offered to me and my family also stood out. The team recognised that respite care involves the whole family and guided us through the process with kindness and clarity.They also went above and beyond in helping us find a permanent placement closer to home, liaising with the new setting and supporting the handover. This level of commitment extended beyond the respite stay.Overall, Bramshott Grange provided a warm, safe, well-run environment. The professionalism and thoughtful support offered to both my relative and our family made the experience reassuring and positive.

Personally, I felt that the standard of some of the meals was below the standard I had expected. Also I was disapointed not to have a view. For a personal note, I felt that my bed was not as comfortable as anticipated.

The care my mother received in Bramshott Grange was first class. Mum's only complaint was that the food was "a bit tough", but apart from that we couldn't fault it. The carers, support staff and management were empathetic, caring, personal and generally fantastic. Many many thanks to all involved.
