I recently had an accident, as a result I suffered some fractures and cannot be completely independent. I am most grateful that I could leave hospital to come to Glenburnie Lodge. This has enabled me to regain my health while saf, comfortable, enjoying good food, excellent care and support. I have found
the standard of care has exceeded my expectations. The staff are universally helpful, kind, pleasant and efficient. I am enjoying delicious food and the option to mix with others in the communal spaces or recover in the calm, luxuriously appointed bedroom. As a result both my family and myself have peace of mind.

Thank you for your lovely review. We are so glad that we have been able to support you on your road to recovery. We pride ourselves on the standard of care that we provide. The food is 5 star and our Chef's are committed to providing the very best. We love our Cafe area especially when it is a hive of activity giving people the opportunity to form friendships.

I genuinely feel blessed to have Glenburnie Lodge so close to my home. It is absolutely beautiful wth comfortable and well thought out accommodation but the level of care from the carers and nurses is beyond exceptional. You really feel like part of a family here but I couldn't rate it more. As a care
home it is utterly wonderful.

Foxhunters Care Community

from Sam T (Great-Niece of Resident) published on 24 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My Great Aunt who was suffering with dementia, was admitted to Foxhunters just before lockdown during the Covid epidemic in 2020 and was there until she passed away in January 2024. The staff were always lovely and care my Aunt received during her time there was outstanding. She always looked immaculate,
even though less mobile during her last two years. She was a bit of a character and had a great rapport with a few of the staff, even having some good banter, which she loved. On her 90th Birthday the caterers made a fantastic spread and beautiful birthday cake for the family to celebrate with her. The home is kept extremely clean, I would liken it to a high end hotel, with it's lovely 'coffee shop' feel near reception and well kept garden for residents to sit out and enjoy. My Aunt's spacious, en-suite room had a lovely view of the Blorenge mountain, where she could watch hang gliders and people watch. She really enjoyed her time there.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Foxhunters.

As a family we honestly cannot thank everyone for their kindness, compassion and excellent care of our Mother. Mam is thriving and so very happy, the care and compassion shown towards her is heartwarming for us as a family. The positive culture and obvious Team ethos is tangible, and seeing such happy
staff ensures that the residents are also relaxed and feel truly valued. It is an absolute joy to visit Glenburnie Lodge - not only do the residents receive the highest quality of care and treated with dignity, but we as family members also feel extremely welcome, it really is a home from home. Glenburnie Lodge is an excellent Care Home and we feel very fortunate that Mam has found such a lovely place to live.

Reply from Jacqueline Orrells, Managing Director at Glenburnie Lodge

Thank you so much for your lovely review, it means a lot to us. Your Mam has settled so well and loves being part of the community. The team work really hard to ensure that everyone is well cared for, loved and happy. It is lovely to see everyone enjoying the communal areas. Thank you for arranging for your Welsh Choir to come in to sing for everyone, it was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Thanks for your time this evening and it was good to know both matters I raised are in hand. I also should have added that you have a very engaging and positive team who strive to give the residents the best care and love they can, even after what sometimes must be a long hard working day. The home
made dessert of apple pie and bread and butter pudding are a particular treat.

Bramshott Grange Care Home

from A O (Son of Resident) published on 3 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Our 95 year old mum was here for eight months after having lived in the nearby Bramshott retirement village for over ten years. She was always very positive about her experience at Bramshott Grange and often said how lucky she was to be there. She really liked her room and loved being able to sit in
the armchairs at the end of the corridor to observe all the comings and goings of residents, visitors and staff. She was particularly appreciative of the care and attention provided by the staff working at the home, who combined great professionalism with a friendly and genuinely caring approach to their work. Mum was lucky, in that she still had visitors from friends at Bramshott Village, and the transition from the retirement village to the care home worked really well for her. She also really enjoyed the option of taking part in various activities, such as exercise classes, which combined with daily trips down the corridor, kept her moving. You'll be hard pushed to find somewhere better !

I wasn't aware that such a place existed. It's permanently changed my view on the care home sector! It's made me consider my own plans, post retirement, even though that is someway off. I could stay here now, it's that nice and that well equipped. In short, I don't think it would be possible to achieve
a better standard for a care home, it's wonderful.

In many ways, Bramshott Grange is like a 4-star hotel. It is fairly new and purpose-built accommodation, with great facilities for those that can use them. The food was good and the chef was even willing to provide special meals tailored to the wishes of individuals.
My Mother could be quite difficult
at times and most of the staff were excellent in the compassionate and patient way they dealt with her. We, as family, were especially grateful for the outstanding support and communication provided by the Client Liaison Manager.
Overall, whilst pretty expensive, we were very grateful that my Mother spent her last 18 months in such a great place.

Mum lived at Bramshott Grange for three and a half years. I could not have wished for a better place for her to spend the last few years of her life. The building, facilities and grounds are lovely and of a very high standard, but more importantly, the quality of care is exceptional. From the management
and administration team to the nurses and carers, the entire team of staff is dedicated to ensuring the best possible care and experience for the residents. The atmosphere is warm, friendly and respectful and the nursing care of a high standard. Mum sadly passed away few weeks ago as a result of a stroke, but thankfully was able to spend her last few days in her own bed. The love and compassion that was shown during this time to both Mum, and to my brother and myself, was exceptional.

Reply from Maggie Griffith, Group Client Liaison Manager at Bramshott Grange Care Home

Thank you for your kind words, we greatly appreciate hearing that you found our nursing care to a high standard and that our care in general was exceptional. We will ensure that all the Bramshott Grange Team are aware of this lovely review and your kind words. Your mum was a very large part of day to day life at Bramshott, she made many friends and is missed by both residents and staff.

Thank you to everyone at Bramshott Grange for looking after my mother. After arriving, she quickly settled in and considered it to be her home and often said we had made the right choice.
The team always made her feel comfortable and looked after her. They put up with her many foibles: from re-arranging
and furnishing her room to her dietary requirements. She did however complain that sometimes her special chicken broth was not as good as it should be: it was her own recipe and nobody else really succeeded either.
As that is all we can find fault with: congratulations to all and thank you for giving her as much enjoyment in the last year of her life as you did. On several occasions, we felt that the team went way beyond what would be reasonably be expected of them.
As a family, we now have experience of four care homes in recent years: Bramshott Grange is easily the best of those four.

Reply from Maggie Griffith, Group Liaison Manager at Bramshott Grange Care Home

Many thanks for your review and kind words. We welcomed her guidance regarding room decor, she had previously worked in interior design, so her room looked splendid! We never did get that much talked about chicken broth to her high standard, but thank you for generously pointing out nobody but your mum ever could. She is missed by all at Bramshott Grange.

This is a modern purpose built care home. It is extremely well run with caring staff who all come across as individuals who really care, are always ready to help and appear happy and fulfilled in their work. A wide range of activities are available seven days a week. My mother was isolated and lonely
as well as prone to worry before moving here. Since then she has turned a corner and is perfectly content.

Mum has been here for over four years now and it's a lovely place for its residents. I've recently visited a number of homes in the area and Brockington House is, most definitely, one of the best and vastly better than most. The building is a safe, clean and good-looking place but of course. it's the
staff that make the difference. Cleaners, maintenance, admin, activities, physio, hairdresser, management, nurses and carers - they're absolutely marvellous. Caring, knowledgeable: keeping residents safe and happy.
