My mum has been with you for a year now. She is very settled and seems to like all of the staff and other residents. When I visit it feels very much a community and very welcoming to all that visits. There is always something going on and a lovely atmosphere. The staff have great respect in what I have
seen to all.

The staff, without exception are caring and compassionate towards my father. At times his condition causes him to become agitated; however, the staff always appear calm and reassuring.
As a visitor, I always feel welcomed.

As a family we have been very pleased with the care my mother has received during her respite period. My initial enquiry was handled quickly and efficiently when many other care homes failed to respond. Mum settled in quickly and the home is clean, 'hotel like' with excellent staff and activities.

My aunt has been resident at Brockington for two years and has been cared for and supported with the greatest dignity and compassion. The staff are kind and welcoming to family members and friends too; it really does feel like one big happy family at Brockington! Staff members must enjoy working there
as they're always smiling and friendly and it's lovely to see familiar faces every time we visit.

I have been a resident here since October 2024. I am very happy here and very well looked after. All staff have been friendly, caring and always ensure I have what I need. If there is anything wrong, I am always well looked after.
I have no complaints at all!

My mother came to Brockington for respite care in September 2025 following a hip replacement. Her dementia has developed and we're hoping we can make her a permanent resident.
Brockington go above and beyond. It's not like any other care home. They have been incredibly supportive and understanding
of my mothers care needs. It's given me great peace of mind knowing she is so well cared for.

I had two weeks of real T.L.C. while I recovered from a broken femur. I was very impressed with the care & warmth of the staff, food & activities provided.
A happy 2 weeks & able to cope on my own at home afterwards. Thank you

Everything at Brockington House, from buildings and facilities, to human resources, have been meticulously researched, therefore ensuring all care provided meets the individual needs of residents.
When the menu wasn't to my mum's liking, something else of her choice was always provided.
The staff
(pinkies) were amazing and made her remaining time at Brockington House very happy.

Brockington House is a lovely place to live - it's clean and staff are welcoming. It is expensive compared to other homes (inc homes in SE England where one would expect to pay a premium.)
Care staff are generally lovely - kind, patient and caring. Food in the ward for people with dementia is sometimes
not.

Mum is so happy here and considers it her home now. It's like a 5* hotel. Her room is perfect for her needs. Activities are varied 10/10. Rooms immaculate, always clean & tidy. Staff are amazing & always have a friendly word for Mum. As a visitor it is always a pleasure to visit, always made to feel
welcome. A lovely atmosphere in the coffee shop. The trips are a great idea & always popular.

The care and support my father has received since moving into Brockington Care Home with my mother last JUly have been nothing short of excellent. Sadly my mother passed away within 4 weeks of them moving into Brockington and the staff were wonderful to Dad during this very traumatic period and continue
to look after him so well
Even the entertainment staff take so much time and trouble to support the residents and tailor sessions to appeal to different residents

My 82-year-old husband with Parkinson's dementia went into Brockington house care home for five weeks' respite. At first he seemed fine, but within days he was moved to a locked unit because of "wandering" - something the home already knew about. When I returned early from holiday I found him heavily
sedated, unshaven with food stuck in his beard, and looking neglected. Managers told me they could not manage him and he would have to leave. Later I discovered he had not even been given a prescribed calming medication, which may explain the problems they complained of. After moving to a specialist dementia home he immediately joined in activities, was calm, and showed none of the behaviours reported by Brockington house. This experience left me very disappointed in the standard of care he received.
Reply from Shann Thomas, Home Director at Brockington HouseI am very sorry that you disappointed with the care your husband received during the 5 weeks he was in Brockington House. We tried very hard to support your husbands needs but unfortunately, due to his presentation, we were unable to do so. We explained this very carefully to you and also assisted you to arrange his transfer to a specialist unit who were able to meet his needs. At no time was he unshaven nor unkempt and he was only ever given the medication for which he had been prescribed. We liaised with the specialist team at all stages in an attempt to support him but unfortunately without success. The decision for him to leave was not taken lightly and only after every attempt was made to meet his needs. Clearly, in a specialist unit, he is settled which is what was hoped for. I do hope that he will continue to be settled and enjoy his new home

The staff are exceptional in their professional approach. The house keeping staff are outstanding in their diligence and standard of cleanliness.
The food is disappointing and varies in quality. Eg very nice roast pork lunch. Friday fish & chips poor quality fish. Menu lacks imagination, choice & variety
