Clarkston House is a 50 bed care home in Glasgow's Southside providing residential care, dementia care and 24 hour nursing care.
The skilled and experienced team provide 24 hour nursing care which is tailored to each individual's unique support needs and wishes.

Clarkston House is a purpose-built care home where the first floor is designed for and specialised in the care of residents living with dementia, and the second floor is designed in the care of frail elderly residents. Each suite is fitted with a passive alarm sensor for extra security.

The fresh and spacious interiors and bathed in natural light. Communal areas include spacious lounge and dining rooms with balconies to sit out and enjoy neighbouring sights, a luxurious cocktail bar and private dining room, alongside an in-house hair and beauty salon. Externally, Clarkston plays hosts to beautiful gardens and outdoor activities including a putting green and lawn bowls area.

There is a busy programme of activities and entertainment for residents to choose from. Guests are welcomed; they can enjoy a complementary afternoon tea or private meal to celebrate special occasions.

I live in Australia and recently travelled to the UK to support my Uncle as he transitioned from his own home into Clarkston House.
I am very impressed with Clarkston House and the care they provide my Uncle.
Front of House Manager and Home Manager have been wonderful in supporting my Uncle and assisting
me in navigating the complexities of the UK Care Home system.
The facilities are well appointed and clean.
Security is good.
Staff are well mannered, kind, and have a sense of humour. It's nice to see my Uncle having a good laugh with the lovey people supporting him.
The service contracts are well written and easy to understand.
Invoices are prompt and no hidden costs.
In my brief stay in the UK I spoke with the friendly locals and they had positive feedback about Clarkston House, this was comforting to know it has a good reputation in the community.
I wasn't there to see any Activities but the Newsletter provided an overview of the activities available to my Uncle.

The support and care for my Dad has been excellent. The full staff team are amazing and have been so welcoming to Dad, helping him settle in well, and also a great help to our family as we all adjust. He loves the decor and especially the food, and has enjoyed some of the activities so far.

On a recent visit was amazed to see that an already well decorated Care Home and Rooms had been updated, absolutely lovely but also very homely. Staff continue to be welcoming to visitors, informative and attentive and patient with residents. Happy to see our friend/resident is content and obviously

We have been familiar with Clarkston House Care Home since March 2024 and from the very beginning when we were completely delighted with initial contact with staff at reception desk - gave us all the info, so friendly, helpful and supportive (and has continued their fabulous service ever since - 100%
brilliant!) - we knew this was the right place. Staff go above and beyond to help and are so caring and attentive.
I have complete trust in them all to look after and nurture and for those needing care and attention it is the best place to be.

Clarkston House is an amazing place. Comfortable, clean surroundings and lovely atmosphere from the minute you go in the door. The staff are exceptional and they are the ones that make Clarkston House so special. My mum was admitted after a long hospital stay and was in a terrible state. The staff here
have given her kindness and care and nursed her back to health. The food provided is excellent and she now eats well and has put on weight. Every single member of staff that Ive met has been friendly, helpful and welcoming. They make a difficult situation so much better.

Experience of care home is good , I am a bit concerned of the turn around in staff, My dad had got know some staff well but now they have been relocated to other care homes and feel he's not getting the same attention as before, in general all staff are friendly and supportive in dealing with my dad's
condition and needs.

Could not fault this home !! The care compassion & attention given to my Aunt has been exemplary. Staff are diligent, caring & in my opinion go above and beyond for the residents in their care treating them like they were their own family .

An excellent level of care is provided at Clarkston House. 24/7 nursing care is provided by skilled and compassionate staff who are completely approachable if needs be. The care is complimented by friendly and efficient care team and hospitality staff.

My mother has been in the home for 10 years since having a stroke. She arrived from hospital and is part of the furniture. She was still running the company before the stroke so we thought it would have been difficult for her to settle, however she was made welcome and settled immediately. Only one
issue, the moving of staff around the organisation is difficult for her after she has made great relationships with them.

The care provided has been excellent and all of the staff across the board are so kind and attentive.
It really helps knowing that Mum is being so well looked after as I know that the management, nursing staff, carers, caterers and housekeeping are all working together to provide a very high standard
of care.
It is such a homely environment and not clinical at all, making it a lovely place for Mum to stay. Relatives and friends of Mum have commented on how fantastic the home is as the staff are so welcoming and friendly, plus Mum is looking well cared for.
The cleanliness of the care home is outstanding and I would say that rooms and all areas are cleaned to a very high hotel standard.
Any urgent medical issues have been dealt with in a very professional manner.
The daily activities always look fun and cater for every level of participant.

The staff are always available and very friendly and make you welcome from as soon as you arrive and especially the staff member on reception.
The rooms are of high standard and all areas for visitors to use are always clean and tidy.
I believe that my mother in law is getting good care and we have

I work for Marie Curie as a volunteer and visit a client whom is more than a client but good friend too and pleased he is settling into his new environment. It's absolutely beautiful and the staff are so nice too.
On my first visit, I was welcomed by a beautiful friendly smile at reception by a member
of staff. Her enthusiasm and knowledge of the home was so impressive and knew the family had chosen the right location for my client and on first impressions, the staff member ticked all boxes for me and the care home are so lucky to have her there representing the company. I visit my client every Friday and if truth be told, look forward to my wee cuppa, which I always get and have a good blether with my client and the staff member too. Anyway, I take this opportunity to thank all staff for their courtesy shown and sign off by saying, you are all superstars and contribute greatly in giving the patients great happiness and joy at this stage of their lives.

Clarkston House is a fabulous facility with an amazing team staff. They have a very low turnover of carers, everybody is incredibly friendly and caring and the environment is premium, clean and well maintained. I would have no hesitation in recommending this facility to anyone with a family member suffering
from dementia.

Clarkston House is everything I hoped it would be and more for my mum. Yes it's stunning to look at, but the staff are what make it the happy home it is.
The staff here are exceptional professionals and people. I find them to be knowledgeable, thorough and nurturing. They have been supportive of me
too. It's not easy seeing your mum decline. They get that and put an arm round you too.
In such a short time, care home staff have gotten to know my mum exceptionally well. They have created a thoughtful and insightful care plan that addresses my mums needs and beyond.
My mum is someone who always taken great pride in her appearance. The staff in Clarkston House have her turned out immaculately. It's lovely to see her looking so well.

The facilities at Clarkston House are clean, bright and of a high standard, and there are lots of great activities, but what makes it really special is the exceptional staff. Mum has been in Clarkston House for 6 months. She settled very quickly thanks to all the staff. Special mention to 4 staff in particular in reception. To be honest, everyone has been great, mum has been given great care which is a comfort to us. Mum loves her clothes, lipstick and personal care, everyone
has made an effort in keeping her beautiful. Thank you.

In February 2023, I had to place both parents in full time care following simultaneous diagnoses of dementia. I had carried out a number of visits and quality checks on potential suitable care homes. Following such a visit to Clarkston House, owned and run by the Northcare group, and the fact that they
had available 2 adjacent rooms, we agreed on their placement there. The formalities were concluded within days. Every staff member I have encountered since admission has been excellent, carrying out their duties in a professional and sympathetic manner.
On occasions, both parents had required urgent additional medical help, which was readily arranged by staff, and at all times I have been kept updated on their care and welfare.
My mother passed away in December 2023, and all the support, necessary care and arrangements were provided with ease.
My honest opinion is that Clarkston House has attained the standard by which all other care homes should be judged.
