Clarkston House is a 50 bed care home in Glasgow's Southside providing residential care, dementia care and 24 hour nursing care.
The skilled and experienced team provide 24 hour nursing care which is tailored to each individual's unique support needs and wishes.

Clarkston House is a purpose-built care home where the first floor is designed for and specialised in the care of residents living with dementia, and the second floor is designed in the care of frail elderly residents. Each suite is fitted with a passive alarm sensor for extra security.

The fresh and spacious interiors and bathed in natural light. Communal areas include spacious lounge and dining rooms with balconies to sit out and enjoy neighbouring sights, a luxurious cocktail bar and private dining room, alongside an in-house hair and beauty salon. Externally, Clarkston plays hosts to beautiful gardens and outdoor activities including a putting green and lawn bowls area.

There is a busy programme of activities and entertainment for residents to choose from. Guests are welcomed; they can enjoy a complementary afternoon tea or private meal to celebrate special occasions.

The staff are very friendly and caring. They work hard. The home is clean and tidy. The choice of meals is appropriate and my mother has gained weight while a resident, which she needed to do.I would recommend this facility. I can't comment on activities as my mother does not engage with them.

There are all the natural concerns when your relative goes into care. I feel so blessed to have chosen Clarkston House. I have no concerns and the staff clearly are devoted to their job. It is evident that my mum and her needs are known and more importantly she is loved.
The staff go out their way
to reassure you and event's like birthdays are so special. It feels like a family and can't explain how important that is.
I can't recommend Clarkston House enough.

My mum has been at Clarkston House for just under a year. Prior to this she was living in a retirement home and was often anxious and distressed in her surroundings. She has settled in well at Clarkston House, enjoys the companionship of the carers and other residents, and seems to be very well looked
after.

I can't really express how impressed I am with Clarkston House. The facilities are amazing but don't let that blind you. The best thing about Clarkston House isn't the building, it's the people that work there. They are all fantastic and I'm so impressed with the level of care that they are providing
to my Mum. Care homes are not all the same and the standard at Clarkston House is far superior to the other Care Homes I have visited.

Michelle has been with Northcare since 2014, progressing from Care Assistant to Senior Carer, and now proudly serves as Suite Manager at Clarkston House. With over 10 years of experience in health and social care, she brings dedication, compassion, and strong leadership to her role. Michelle takes immense pride in her suite—both in the committed, caring team she leads and in the residents who make it their home.

Angela Hampson

Angela joined Northcare in 2021 as a care assistant and developed an interest in the role of Hospitality which incorporates her caring qualities with her passion for customer service.
