Care Homes Owned by English Oak Care Homes
"My approach when creating English Oak Care Homes was clear: Providing places I'd be happy for my own Mum to live in, places where people receive the respect and have the quality of life they deserve." It is fabulous to be part of a group, or family, but sometimes it's nice to be recognised as an individual that has very specific needs or interests, and carers at English Oak pride themselves on recognising these points very early on so that they can deliver the very best individual care which may be quite uncommon and unique but important nevertheless. An extract from an email to the management team: Just a little note to say a BIG Thank you! You and all of your staff are amazing. So kind and caring! The entertainment you organise and the personal attention that you give to your residents at Willow Lodge is lovely. Dad was not quite himself when we
arrived today but with the music and cheer around the room he perked up and I had a lovely dance with him.
Nothing is too much trouble for the staff at Willow Lodge.

My husband has been at Oak View for just over three months. In that time, despite his dementia deteriorating rapidly, he has always been well looked after, treated with kindness and care, supporting him to retain his dignity and independence, as much as possible. He is safe, warm, and comfortable in
a lovely environment. The staff really understand the meaning of 'care', which is a joy to see in sometimes very challenging circumstances.

My dad has been living at this care home since August 2025 and overall we've been very pleased with the care he's received. The staff are kind, patient and caring and they treat residents with dignity & respect. Communication with the family has been good, and its reassuring to know eh is being looked
after properly. The home itself is clean and welcoming and there's a calm, friendly atmosphere. Well done.

My husband is cared for in Oak View with kindness & compassion. His food is carefully and thoughtfully prepared and the staff look after him with care and attention. All the staff are kind and thoughtful and carry out their duties with cheerful good humour. They are always smiling and providing a kind
and happy atmosphere for the patients. I cannot praise them highly enough for the excellent job they carry out.

I cannot express how excellent the care of my mum was at Oak View Care Home. She was there 4 years and the love and care for her was excellent. We always felt welcome when we visited and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were so caring and understanding when my mum became poorly and she could
not have been in a better place. Thank you to all the staff and keep up your good work.

I wanted to write to someone in authority to express my thanks for the way the Team at Hunters Lodge have been looking after my father. It is nothing short of AMAZING.
You can therefore imagine how distressed we all were when that time came. Mum, 87, simply couldn't manage and it was becoming a living
hell for both. As a result, we visited Hunters Lodge whilst Dad was in hospital and decided to move him in straight from the hospital to Hunters. It was a difficult few weeks whilst he settled. As a family we felt that we had betrayed him.
To sit there today and see my ' hero ' with a smile on his face and happy with life, is something I thought was long gone. So, please, pass on a BIG THANK YOU to everyone. It is greatly appreciated. That love they show to the residents also extends to the family members who are always welcomed by the staff with open arms.

My husband has only been a resident for a short time. From what I have seen the staff seem very caring and are aware of the movements of all the residents. I am made welcome when I visit. My husband is non-verbal but he smiles a lot so I assume that he is happy. I am sure that he is very well cared

Willow Lodge is an excellent facility, it is always very clean and tidy. The rooms are spacious and well presented, the food is of a high quality and there is always plenty to eat. The staff are excellent, very attentive to the residents, very caring and are always there to offer assistance and advice
to both the residents and visitors. You are always made to feel welcome and looked after with tea, coffee and biscuits. My brother could not be in a better place at present and I do not have to worry about his care while he is there.

My mum was given a place at Willow Lodge Care Home in July. After a lot of time in hospital with her broken hip and dementia that had exacerbated during her stay in hospital, she was given a fantastic lodge of her own which she was over the moon with, It took a few weeks to get used to it but during
that time she was 100% happier than when she was in the hospital. I can't thank the outstanding Staff enough for all the fantastic care they give my mum constantly. Most days. I see a video or pictures of her on social media having a brilliant time joining in all the fun activities with staff members and other residence, it bring tears to my eyes to see she's having such a great time especially when at times I struggle to visit due to work commitments, I can be assured and confident my mum is getting the best care she needs and best she has ever had. The staff go over and above always. I am kept up-to-date with any changes to my mum's health. I like to thank everyone at Willow Lodge x

My Father was diagnosed with Ahlzeimers in 2024, having placed Dad in another local home it became apparent that with Dad only being 69, he was to active and aware of his surroundings than the home were equipped to deal with and his stay became very uncomfortable for him and us as a family.
We feel
both grateful and lucky to have found the team at Hunters Lodge, they immediately assured us they could accommodate and work with Dad given he was still very active and had not lost his sense of humour. We immediately witnessed a positive change and through care, patience and understanding of the welfare needs he became incredibly comfortable and happy in this environment and in turn so did we.
His level of care and the dedication shown towards him was faultless, the environment is fun, bright, clean and enjoyable for residents and families. Sadly Dad passed in August, we were truly humbled by the care, diligence, compassion and accommodating nature.
We could not recommend more highly

We have been so impressed with Hunters Lodge since my frail Mother was admitted 7 weeks ago. The staff have gone to great lengths to tailor care to my mother's needs, the staff are excellent, the food is always hot and delicious, and she has been treated with great kindness. The staff went above and
beyond to organise and host a wonderful afternoon tea for my mother's 100th birthday, which she thoroughly enjoyed. It makes a great difference to my sisters and I to know she is in good hands.
Reply from Lauren Geach, Assistant at Hunters LodgeThank you so much for your kind words. It's lovely to hear that you and your family feel supported and that your mum is receiving the care she needs. We do enjoy celebrating milestones with our wonderful residents and their families. It was an absolute pleasure to do so for your mum's 100th birthday.
