"My approach when creating English Oak Care Homes was clear: Providing places I'd be happy for my own Mum to live in, places where people receive the respect and have the quality of life they deserve." It is fabulous to be part of a group, or family, but sometimes it's nice to be recognised as an individual that has very specific needs or interests, and carers at English Oak pride themselves on recognising these points very early on so that they can deliver the very best individual care which may be quite uncommon and unique but important nevertheless.

After mum was diagnosed with dementia the family realised she needed full time care,
After a short time in another home her health deteriorated rapidly and ended up spending time in hospital,
We found Willow lodge and mum moved there from hospital,
From the first second we had entered the home the
feeling of compassion and care was immense,
Every member of the team welcomed Mum with open arms and reassured her that she was now safe again,
I visited mum regularly and could see how their care and support was making improvements on her health and happiness,
Mums rapid decline was evident though,
I visiting through the night to find one of the carers sat with mum, holding her hand, rubbing her forehead and just quietly talking to her making her feel at ease, it was just amazing to see
They excelled in every way,
You were all amazing, I can't thank you enough for what you did for mum in her last days, the love you showed and the care you gave can't
be taught it's in all of you, Thankyou

I genuinely wanted to THANK Willow Lodge and the team of passionate staff for amazing care for our lifetime family friend. The level of support is outstanding, never too much to ask and always available to talk to us with time, smile and plenty of coffee and biscuits. We are always with deep gratefulness
welcomed no matter what day of the week it is and what activities are planned.
The level of understanding my uncle's needs, his unique way of expressing himself and banter he lived with all of his life is supported, understood and reciprocated with respect and dignity which makes him and us all very happy.
On behalf of my family I truly thank you all at Willow Lodge, you are simply the best we could ever ask for my uncle's life despite all of his health difficulties at the moment you "magic" smile on his face.
We are very grateful.

Reply from Lauren Geach, Assistant at Willow Lodge

I am forever grateful for Willow Lodge and the care they gave my Nan. I was sceptical at first as I had viewed one of the sister homes and I didn't get a homely feel and it seemed very clinical however when walking into Willow Lodge, we were greeted by all staff and all were so friendly and welcoming.
They were very accommodating and little to no restrictions for visits! They made sure my Nan's last weeks were the most comfortable she could be and I couldn't have picked a better place for her. While all the family were around during my Nans last hours, they constantly offered us teas and coffees and even a lunch! But they also made sure we had space to say our goodbyes. Thank you so much for all you did for her and even for us! Forever grateful.

Willow Lodge is truly amazing, the quality of all the staff is outstanding, under excellent management they create a happy, warm, caring atmosphere for the residents. My mother feels safe and well looked after. It is a challenging environment to work in but they are always cheerful and nothing is too
much trouble. I am always reassured that I could not have found better for my much loved mum.

When looking for somewhere suitable for my nan with Dementia I found Willow lodge. From my first visit until the last days of my nan life this place was amazing! From the day my nan arrived and become part of the willow lodge family you see how much each staff member and career gave to every resident
at the home! It was like they was all one big family. The time, love, care they give on a daily basic was amazing. I see this everyday as I would visit nan daily. When my nan got to end of life I couldn't believe how amazing the guys was there. The care plans that was put in place to make sure my nan was safe and looked after was unreal. I was honoured and aloud to stay 2 night the last days of my nans life and you just felt so comfortable and like part of their family there. All of them was on the ball constantly checking in every 20 minutes and just being there not just for nan but for myself. Us as a family will forever be greatful. We couldn't thank you enough! You guys are amazing

My experience so far has been fantastic, right from the reception, the home presents a warm and welcoming environment. The staff are kind and caring to residents and it's not surprising that the residents and their family members feel at home.
Residents are engaged in fun-filled meaningful activities
and of course, the nutritional needs of residents are catered for by the great cooks. Residents also enjoy their individualised personal space. A great home indeed.

Residents are well cared for. Staff are always welcoming, and refreshments offered on every visit. Staff interaction with residents is friendly. Mum always enjoys her meals.
The upstairs lounge is bright and comfortable and there are always staff present. The lounge has an outlook over the recreation
ground so plenty of activities to be seen.

My Husband was placed here as an emergency respite care but from the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with care and helpfulness and a genuine interest in the needs of my Husband. We have very good communication with the Management team and all the staff we meet are friendly and helpful.
He has settled

Dad's room is kept clean and tidy, and all the staff I have met have been kind and courteous at all times. Any questions I have had have been dealt with promptly.
