My wife has Alzheimer's and came to Dungate Manor for respite care. I could not have chosen a better place for her. The management and staff are superb, and know exactly what care to give. The manor is clean and well-kept, and the activities and entertainment are first class. The menu is varied, the
food excellent, and all food preferences catered for. The prices are very fair and I would not hesitate to ask for her to stay again. Very impressed.

My auntie has been a resident at the home for approximately 6 weeks. I can honestly say that the experience so far has been outstanding. Though my auntie is still quite able bodied, she has advanced dementia and needs help with all personal care needs. The home holds regular activities for residents
and their families, in and out of the care home, which is on beautiful grounds. The staff are all lovely and friendly and it is so comforting to know that my auntie is being looked after so very well.
Reply from Kate Wyatt, Group Community Engagement Manager at Weald Hall Care HomeThank you so much for your wonderful review.
We are delighted to hear that your auntie's experience with us has been so positive during her first six weeks at Weald Hall. Supporting residents living with dementia while helping them maintain their independence and quality of life is incredibly important to us, and it's lovely to know that this has been reflected in your auntie's care.
We're pleased that both our activities programme and beautiful surroundings have contributed to her enjoyment, and your kind words about our team mean a great deal. Our staff work hard to create a warm, caring, and supportive environment for all our residents and their families.

I go to visit my husband twice a week, I get to know the managers and staff better. They are very good and hard workers. They look out for all residents, support, helpful, be there for them and having a lot of activities and events planning each month. This place is more like 'down to earth' that what
we wanted. Comforable and happy place. The wall being painted is coming along nicely and brightens up the area. At cream tea party on 15th May was very enjoyable afternoon. Very welcome with cream cakes and special tea. They have planned very well, get some families together with their loved ones.

The atmosphere always feels warm and positive every time we enter. Residents are taken care of well and treated with dignity and respect. This is made clear by how comfortable and happy residents look when every time we visit. I feel comfortable that my aunt is being taken care of very well, given how

Everything has run very smoothly and in a very friendly and professional way from searching for the right care home to the organisation of moving my father in law in and the care he has received has been exceptionally good . Although he has probably not been the easiest resident and would rather be
at home - nothing has been too much trouble for the staff and they always communicate both to him and us with a smile on their face. His happiness and safety and health is always top priority. Thankfully after 2 weeks he is going home tomorrow and is in much better health and mindset than when he arrived.

Your kind words about our staff, their communication, and their dedication to your father-in-law's happiness, safety, and wellbeing will be greatly appreciated by the whole team. My father has just spent two weeks at The Anchorage for respite care and we have been extremely impressed. He has Parkinson's and very poor mobility, so it was vital to find somewhere that could keep him safe while helping him regain some strength and confidence. From the moment he arrived, the staff
were warm, patient and genuinely caring, taking time to understand his needs and treating him with dignity at all times. The standard of care has been consistently high and communication with us has been excellent. The management team are visible, approachable and clearly run a well-organised home, and all the staff create a calm, friendly environment. Most importantly, he is coming home in a noticeably better state than when he arrived, stronger and brighter. We are very grateful to everyone at The Anchorage and would not hesitate to recommend them for respite care.

i used dungate Manor for my mother for respite care whilst I took a break. I went to view the home with my mother and as soon as I walked in I felt comfortable, the atmosphere was lovely, activities were going on and the staff were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. The manager Felecia was
lovely and understood my others needs and preferences and she draughted a respite care plan to show those needs
The menus were very good and catered for all diets. My mother made a good connection with Gabby the activities lady and the activities and events that were put on were great, everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves.
