The staff are very welcoming and are open to chatting to us. Their treatment of my nan is amazing, always asking her what she wants to do instead of telling her what to do.
Most of all, they have made her feel welcome. I can tell that they love having her around and truly want to support her in the
best possible way.
It is amazing to see how involved the staff let her get in with the home, cleaning and everything she wants to do to help.
Reply from Kate Wyatt, Group Community Engagement Manager at ChurchfieldsThank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review. We are deeply touched by your kind words and delighted to hear how welcome and valued your nan feels with us.

Our team is passionate about treating every resident with dignity, respect, and individuality, so it means a great deal to know that she is supported in making her own choices and encouraged to stay involved in the home in ways that are meaningful to her. Seeing residents feel comfortable, included, and empowered is exactly what we work towards every day.

Your feedback is incredibly encouraging for our staff, and we're grateful for the trust you place in us. It's a pleasure to have your nan as part of our Churchfields Family.

Jennifer and I are profoundly grateful for the wonderful care that you took of Ian during his stay over the past 3 years. We know that he much appreciated it too. In October 2022, Ian was discharged from the hospital with the prognosis of less than six months of life expectancy. The care and support
that you gave him extended this a few more years, from our prospective he was safe in your hands, and you gave us peace of mind, knowing that any health or medical needs were immediately addressed. This was invaluable. Thank you for everything.
Reply from Kate Wyatt, Group Community Engagement Manager at ChurchfieldsThank you so much for your deeply moving words. It has been an absolute privilege to care for Ian over the past three years and to support both him and your family during that time. Knowing that he felt safe, comfortable, and well cared for means everything to us.
Your trust in our team was truly valued, and we are grateful that we could provide you with peace of mind during such an important period. Ian was a much loved member of our Churchfields family, and he will always be remembered with great fondness by everyone here.
On behalf of the entire team, thank you for your kindness and appreciation. Our thoughts remain with you and Jennifer.

My Mother became a resident in Sept '25, when it became clear, due to her lack of mobility and age she could no longer take care of herself, and with both my sister and I living in the USA, not being able to help.
Having visited with my mother the first two weeks when she moved in, and recently for
a week in the new year, it has become very clear it was the right decision. The care she receives is second to none, the staff are very caring and attentive to her needs, they treat her with respect, dignity and friendliness. I have got to know a lot of the staff myself, and each day I arrive at the home, and during the day, I am greeted with a smile, and they genuinely seem very happy in what they are doing, which directly impacts the well-being and comfort of the residents. If my mother is seen by outside doctors or nurses, I am always kept up to date with and email from the care home nurses.
Living so far away, Churchfield offers me great peace of mind, my mother is in good hands.

It means a great deal to our team to know that you feel confident and reassured, especially while living so far away. Providing not only excellent care for our residents, but also peace of mind for their families, is at the heart of what we do. Your comments about our staff's warmth, dedication, and communication are especially appreciated and will be shared with the whole team.

Your mother is a valued member of our Churchfields family, and it is our privilege to support her with the dignity, respect, and compassion she deserves. Thank you again for your wonderful feedback.

My father has spent almost 6 months at Churchfield, a period which started with an emergency respite care admission under very difficult circumstances which was compassionately and competently handled. He is now a permanent resident and despite presenting many difficulties in his personal life as well
as his health, has settled down due to the patience and endless good humour of the staff.
Churchfield has a cosy family atmosphere, with an emphasis on keeping residents busy, but it's also very efficiently run when it comes to meeting the challenging health care demands of many residents. The staff are painstaking and experienced and diligent about keeping relatives involved about developments in the care of their loved ones. It's probably unfair to single any one person out, but Sharon, the manager, leads brilliantly from the front.
Reply from Kate Wyatt, Group Community Engagement Manager at ChurchfieldsThank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and generous review. We are truly grateful for your kind words and for entrusting us with your father's care, especially during what was such a difficult and uncertain time for your family.
It means a great deal to hear that he has settled and that our team's patience, good humour and compassion have made a positive difference. Creating a warm, family atmosphere while also meeting complex health needs is something we work very hard to achieve, so your recognition of this balance is especially appreciated.
We are also pleased that you have felt well informed and involved throughout your father's journey with us, supporting families is an important part of the care we provide.
Your special mention of Sharon, our Care Manager, and the team will be shared with them all; it will mean a great deal and be very warmly received. Thank you again for your trust and for such encouraging feedback.

Although my husband does not appreciate the care he is receiving, as a family we are very grateful he is safe and well cared for. He is well fed; having put back on the weight he lost during an 8 week hospital stay and has been known to take part in some of the variety of activities on offer. The staff
are all friendly and welcoming and it is reassuring to know there is 24 hour nursing care.

My husband has Parkinson's and confined to a wheelchair. He originally had several periods of respite care here early in 2025.Due to my own ill health he has now been a resident at Churchfields since August 2025.
He is looked after exceptionally well and treated with dignity and compassion. The carers
are amazingly empathetic and really seem to know him well as an individual. He enjoys all the activities and joins in with enthusiasm and interest. He has told me : 'They look after me well here'.
In the summer he was able to sit outside on the terrace and to enjoy playing boules and table tennis from his wheelchair in the lovely gardens.
I am impressed with the different activities the home provides.Live music, visits from an owl sanctuary,Shetland pony visits as well as physical activities and trips out in the minibus.
I have every confidence in the staff and management to look after my husband in a safe and caring environment.I would highly recommend Churchfields Care Home.

My mum became a respite resident in July 2025 (suffering with dementia), from the initial meeting with Sharon (care home manager) and meeting the senior team we realised very quickly that we had made the right decision. I visit at least 3 times a week and I'm always greeted in a professional and friendly
way and my mum is always participating in activities and regular trips out in the minibus to local clubs. I love the regular social media posts that show the activities and the residents including my mum appear to be happy and engaged. I'm sure there are stressful times for the Churchfields team, but I've never seen this, they are always smiling and happy to help. Recently the flu virus hit the care home, Sharon and her team kept us up to date on the situation and still made you feel welcome and making sure that the residents where well looked after. My first experience of Christmas in a care home.......it was fantastic! As always THANKS!

Your recognition of the team's warmth, professionalism, and dedication, especially during challenging times such as the recent flu outbreak is deeply appreciated. Keeping families informed and ensuring residents feel safe, cared for, and welcomed is at the heart of what we do.
We're also so pleased that your first Christmas in a care home was such a positive experience. Creating special moments and a real sense of community for residents and their families is incredibly important to us. Thank you again for your trust, your support, and your lovely words.

My mother was a resident at Churchfields for over five years. Churchfields was chosen because it felt homely (the opposite to institutional) and wasn't too large - and what an excellent decision that turned out to be! Over the years, my mother was treated with warmth, care and respect. Her wants, needs,
and interests were sought out and attended to. This meant that her dignity and individual persona were preserved while she suffered from severe dementia. As my mother's representative, I always felt welcomed by staff. They were understanding and supportive - and my concerns were always listened to and addressed. I will always be grateful for the quality of care that my mother (and I) received.
Reply from Kate Wyatt, Group Community Engagement Manager at ChurchfieldsThank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review. We are deeply touched by your words and truly honoured that Churchfields was your mothers home for over five years.
It means a great deal to our whole team to know that your mother was cared for with warmth, respect, and dignity, and that her individuality continued to be recognised despite the challenges of severe dementia. Preserving each residents sense of self is at the heart of what we do, and your feedback reassures us that this was felt by both your mother and yourself.
We are also grateful that you felt welcomed, listened to, and supported as her representative. Building trusting relationships with families is just as important to us as the care we provide to our residents.

If I could give six stars to Churchfields I would. Our whole experience of settling our mother - from first contact, a visit from us daughters, a video visit, a visit with mum, to the process of integrating her into the life and family of the home was both highly professional and deeply human: exemplary.
I can say with sincerity that it is the most powerful example of individual-centred care in a genuine community setting that I have ever witnessed. Despite the advanced stage of her illness, our mother found a happiness and home in Churchfields we could not have imagined before. She appreciated the food, the activities and the ambiance and most of all the people - and it was very clear to us that all the staff at all levels, appreciated her. The combination of nursing with ''whole person'' care in such a warm, clean, bright and kind setting is remarkable. Their subtle accompaniment to her and us in her final days and hours was indispensable and of enormous comfort to her and all of us.
Reply from Kate Wyatt, Group Community Engagement Manager at ChurchfieldsThank you so much for taking the time to write such a generous and thoughtful review. Your words mean a great deal to all of us at Churchfields.
It was a real privilege to care for your mother and to walk alongside her and your family during such an important chapter of her life. We are deeply moved that she found happiness, comfort and a sense of home with us, and that you felt supported throughout the journey, including in her final days.
Our team strives to combine high-quality care with warmth, dignity and genuine connection, so to hear that this was your experience is incredibly affirming. Your recognition of the kindness and dedication of our staff will be shared with them; it will mean the world.
Thank you for trusting us with your mother's care. We hold her, and your family, in very fond remembrance.

My mother sadly passed away recently but had been resident at Churchfields for two years suffering from dementia. The care she received there was outstanding throughout. All the staff are incredibly invested in the wellbeing of the residents, and because of this they are happy, well looked after, well
fed and kept clean and hygienic. There are activities daily, and residents are encouraged to take part. There is also an emphasis on maintaining self-esteem through things like a hairdressing salon, nail care etc. The grounds are lovely, with amazing gardens and occasional trips to the local pub. As a visitor you are always made very welcome, and in fact my father (who used to visit twice a week for lunch from his nearby flat) was treated as one of the family. The care home manager Sharon is incredibly committed and as she said to me recently: 'The end of someone's life is just as important as every other part and I'm glad we could help.' This attitude is exactly why this place is so good

The care Hilary gets is excellent, staff really go out of their way to be patient, friendly and helpful. There is a distinct atmosphere of kindliness.
