When I first visited Dungate Manor I instantly had a feeling that it was more than a care home, it was more like a second home for my wife. The management and staff are wonderful, and nothing is too much trouble. All the staff are genuinely interested in the residents, and it appears that no-one is left unattended or lonely. The food is excellent and varied, the activities are well thought out and structured well, The manor is exceptionally clean and fresh at all times. Exceptional.

I go to visit my husband twice a week, I get to know the managers and staff better. They are very good and hard workers. They look out for all residents, support, helpful, be there for them and having a lot of activities and events planning each month. This place is more like 'down to earth' that what we wanted. Comforable and happy place. The wall being painted is coming along nicely and brightens up the area. At cream tea party on 15th May was very enjoyable afternoon. Very welcome with cream cakes and special tea. They have planned very well, get some families together with their loved ones.

Overall, Dungate Manor is an excellent care home. We feel very much embraced by the whole team. The staff are of a very high standard, and really care for the residents, in a loving, professional manner, with dignity and compassion. The building is kept beautifully to a very high standard, it is situated in beautiful grounds which are immaculate. My sister feels very comfortable here and says how much she likes it here. It is so friendly. We are delighted my sister was fortunate to be given a place here.

Our mum Betty came down from Leeds last May. It was a massive transition for us. We or Betty couldn't have been made to feel more welcome to Dungate. We have nothing but praise from the care she is receiving to the food, activities, outings, events and her room. It is excellent in every way. Everyone goes above and beyond. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

i used dungate Manor for my mother for respite care whilst I took a break. I went to view the home with my mother and as soon as I walked in I felt comfortable, the atmosphere was lovely, activities were going on and the staff were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. The manager Felecia was lovely and understood my others needs and preferences and she draughted a respite care plan to show those needs
The menus were very good and catered for all diets. My mother made a good connection with Gabby the activities lady and the activities and events that were put on were great, everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves.

I would have no doubt in using Dungate Manor again.

Dad has resided at Dungate for almost 3 years. Whilst his health has naturally deteriorated, as a family we rest in the knowledge that he is content and very well cared for.
Over recent months, the home has come under new and much improved management.
All staff are genuinely caring, supportive and always have a smile.
Activities are now run enthusiastically to include all residents to the best of their ability and it is lovely as a relative to be shown footage when we're not present.
Events are now regularly put on so that families can share experiences with their loved ones. From a thoughtful quiet fireworks display to the Christmas carol concert which was bursting at the seams with families. So heartwarming!
There was a recent food taster menu for relatives too, showcasing the new residents' menu. It was of hotel standard - hopefully this will now be standard for all daily meals.

The home has a lived in and comfortable feel well suited to the environment in beautiful surroundings.

My mother has been in Dungate Manor for 4 years. It's not been an easy ride as she struggles to settle. However the carers have pursued with kindness and support for us both. Since the new ownership, I have noticed a positive change in the atmosphere, activities, and now the food. My mother is now calmer and more content. Last night they launched their new food menu at a firework and taster evening. The food has always been a bit of a bugbear with my mother who pronounced the new food as 'excellent' and I agree it was beautifully presented and delicious. I'm now looking forward to joining her for lunch!!

I am extremely glad that we found the best care possible for my Mother. Dungate Manor Care Home in Reigate, Surrey is a gem among care homes.

From my initial conversations with the manager, I knew that I had found the right place for Mum. The team at Dungate is a well knit family, working as one. Over the last few months each individual team member has shown genuine care for my Mother and it was deeply satisfying to see the attention to detail in the care given to her.

In particular I would like to name one staff member as an outstanding care giver and amazing individual who is very much in charge of her team. As with all her staff, she gives 110% every single minute of the day. The manager and this care giver quite obviously have the respect of all their carefully chosen staff and it is clear to see that this is reciprocated by them.

I must mention three other staff members, all of whom I found to be incredibly dedicated and committed to their profession. Every single member of staff was approachable and helpful.

Daisy
Daisy Job Title:Through the eyes of a child Programme Leader

Daisy is an 11-year-old community champion who has been visiting The Anchorage care home since she was a toddler. A few years ago, she created Through the Eyes of a Child, a heartfelt initiative designed to capture children’s honest reflections on their experiences of visiting the care home, helping staff and residents see the environment through a child’s perspective.

What began as a simple idea has grown into a meaningful programme that fosters intergenerational connections. Daisy encourages children from local schools to visit the home, building friendships with residents and taking part in activities, events, and outings. She has also developed feedback forms to ensure children’s voices are heard and valued.

Over the past year, Daisy’s compassion and dedication have been widely recognised. She has received a Champions of Care Special Recognition Award from Person Centred Software, the Community Cup from her school for her empathy and service, and the Saxon Weald Local Community Youth Winner Award for her outstanding contribution to the care home and wider community. She is also due to join the PDCCA Volunteer Friends Scheme in the New Year.

Now beginning to share Through the Eyes of a Child with other care homes across the group, Daisy continues to lead with kindness, empathy, and maturity beyond her years, proving that age is no barrier to making a meaningful difference.
