I cam to Dungate Manor om the 3rd February 2020, for a period of respite having spent 8 days in hospital following repeated falls at home. My first impressions were very good, both the decor and the welcome from staff was excellent. I have received support and encouragement to get me back to my best
self. This is due exclusively to the staff from every department.

Our relative has been in Dungate Manor since August 2018 and despite her worsening Alzheimers, she has settled as well as possible. The staff are very keen for our relative to retain her dignity and independence for as long as possible. All staff exhibit caring attitudes with patience and in a friendly
manner. Our relative is encouraged to socialise but never forced.

Dungate Manor is a really lovely place. Nan has really settled in and is very happy. The staff are very attentive and nothing is ever too much trouble. Food is fantastic and there is always something for Nan to do! I couldn't recommend highly enough.

During my mother's two years at Dungate Manor, the care home has gone from strength to strength. There has been major refurbishment and the setting on Reigate Heath is outstanding. The staff are supportive and there is a real homely feeling.

Whenever we come to visit our nan, the staff are always happy to help and seem to work very hard all the time.
The care home is secure, comfortable, clean and tidy. Our nan is always happy and well fed and watered. The room our nan sleeps in is very well appointed and decorated nicely.

Moving Mum into a care home was a very emotional time for me, but as soon as I met the Deputy Manager and all the staff all my fears were dispelled. All the staff put me at ease and I can now look forward to spending quality time with her. The staff are excellent and very caring. I know Mum is now in

Abdul

Abdul Rifai

Job Title: Care Home Manager

We offer first-class care for the elderly on a permanent or respite basis, delivered by highly trained professionals in lovely comfortable surroundings.


Our philosophy is simple; we want everyone to enjoy life to the fullest. We never forget that all our residents are individuals and we treat them with dignity, privacy and respect while offering freedom of choice and as much independence as possible.


Friends and family are welcome at any time. Hot drinks and snacks are always available and guests are invited to share a meal with residents. Our cook prepares three nutritious meals a day and the menu changes regularly to reflect seasonal produce. Special diets are catered for.


Residents have the freedom to choose what to do and when. There is plenty going and our activities coordinator puts together a full programme which is adapted to suit the needs and wishes of our residents. Activities include quizzes, sing-alongs, reminiscence therapy, indoor games, arts and crafts, baking and wherever possible, trips out and about.

Alisha Turner

Job Title: Care Home Administrator

As the Administrator at Dungate Manor Care Home, Alisha Turner brings 5 years of customer service experience and 2 years in administration, with a strong background in healthcare support. Before joining the team at Dungate, she worked at 111 NHS, where she developed a deep understanding of patient care and the importance of compassionate communication.


Alisha is a dedicated, empathetic professional who is passionate about supporting the residents, their families, and the staff at Dungate. Her role is to ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes so that residents at Dungate can enjoy the highest quality of care in a welcoming and nurturing environment.

Anna has been a dedicated cook at Dungate Manor Care Home since February 2007. With a passion for preparing a variety of cuisines, she brings both flavour and care to every meal she creates. Outside of work, Anna’s love for cooking continues; she enjoys experimenting with new recipes, spending time with friends, listening to music, and exploring new places through travel. Her warmth and culinary skills make her a cherished part of the Dungate Manor community.

Marcin

Marcin Obara

Job Title: Maintenance

Joined: 2004

Marcin has been a cornerstone of Dungate Manor since 2004, making him one of the longest-serving members of the team. Known as the go-to maintenance expert, Marcin keeps everything running smoothly, if something needs fixing or repairing, he’s the first person everyone turns to.


Beyond his practical skills, Marcin is also fantastic with the residents, always taking the time for a friendly chat or lending a helping hand. Outside of work, he enjoys countryside drives and catching up with friends.

Shree

Shree Shrestha

Job Title: Head of Housekeeping

Joined: 2020

Shree has been a valued member of the Dungate Manor team since 2020, leading the domestic team with dedication and pride. He plays a key role in maintaining the care home's cleanliness and comfort, ensuring it remains a safe, welcoming environment for all.

Job Title: Lifestyle Co-Ordinator

Fena brings energy and creativity to Dungate Manor as our Lifestyle Coordinator, making sure residents stay active, engaged, and entertained. From games like bowls to themed events and social gatherings, Fena puts real thought into planning fun activities that everyone can enjoy.


She’s fantastic with the residents and always makes an effort to include everyone, creating a warm and lively atmosphere throughout the home. When she’s not at work, Fena enjoys reading and spending quality time with her loved ones and friends.

Fiona Charles

Job Title: Operations Director

Fiona has over 30 years of experience working within the healthcare sector and is a Registered Nurse, remaining active on the NMC register. Her management career started as a charge nurse and then as a ward manager within the NHS, working in wards specialising in care for older adults enduring mental health conditions and dementia.


For the last 15 years, Fiona has worked in the Care Home Sector, taking on various Management roles, including Registered Manager, Regional Support Manager, Clinical and Quality Manager, Compliance Consultant and Operations Manager.


Remaining very hands-on clinically, she is passionate about supporting our management teams to deliver exceptional person-centred care, ensuring all individuals can maintain their independence and enjoy the excellent quality of life our care homes offer.

Danielle Barham

Job Title: Group Lifestyle Manager

In July 2025, I was honoured to become the Group Lifestyle Manager for Premium Care Group, where I oversee and develop lifestyle programmes across all our care homes to enhance residents’ wellbeing and quality of life.


Before this, I was Care Manager at Weald Hall, having started my career there as a care assistant. I quickly built strong relationships with residents and the care team. My passion has always been to make a genuine difference, caring for every resident as if they were part of my own family.

Sonya

Sonya Virdee

Job Title: Group Clinical Manager

Sonya has been a qualified nurse for over 22 years, with extensive experience in both Acute and community settings across various National Health Care Services (NHS) in Northwest London. She has also worked in the Middle East with the Government on projects including reducing amputation rates and promoting awareness on wound management. In 2022, Sonya transitioned into the Nursing Home industry to utilise her broad knowledge and skills in managing clients with chronic conditions.


Sonya initially qualified as a general nurse in 2023 and went on to attain further qualifications, including Tissue Viability (specialising in managing all types of wounds, including cancerous wounds, pressure ulcers, and leg ulcers), Teaching and Co-mentoring, Leadership and Management. She also holds a master’s degree in Health and Social Person-Centred Care and a Meta Master's in Behaviour Studies.


She was previously the Home Manager at Kingfishers Care Home in Bourne End, where she had the privilege of being part of a diverse, modern, and dynamic management team at Premier Health Care. In her new role as Group Clinical Manager within the Premium Care Group, Sonya will be using her expertise to support the homes in achieving and maintaining high clinical standards.


In her spare time, Sonya enjoys reading and watching documentaries.
