My mum arrived at Dungate in March 2022. She was 84 at the time and was struggling with severe dementia. The staff at Dungate welcomed her with open arms and made her 18-month stay with them a happy one. I always felt she was so well looked after. My mum needed round-the-clock care. I loved the way
the carers cuddled her and made jokes with her and made her laugh. My mum would laugh and her eyes would light up when they chatted with her. The staff really understood my mum so well, they‘d all taken the time to get to know her.
Dungate is a happy place. The residents are encouraged to spend their day downstairs with the other residents, this was so good for my mum. She thrived on watching what was going on as she couldn’t read or watch the television.
Dungate Manor is a very special place, it has a real family feel.
I really can‘t thank the staff enough at Dungate for all the love they gave my mum.
Dungate deserves a hundred stars. Thank you for taking such great care of my mum.

I wish I could give Dungate Manor 10 stars. My father lived there for the final two and a half years of his life. He had severe dementia and needed a high level of care and I cannot fault them on a single aspect of his care. Residents are treated with love, compassion and dignity. The atmosphere in
the home is incredible, it truly is like one big family. Within weeks of my father being there, it was clear to me that the staff were really getting to know him. They would tell me things he had said or done which proved to me they were spending time with him; things like little quirks of his personality or classic things he said that they could only know by being by his side.
My father died peacefully in Dungate in November 2023 and I was with him throughout his final week. I was already happy with the home but the love and care the staff showed both my father and me went above and beyond, I will be eternally grateful for their wonderful care. Dungate Manor truly is the best care home.

My father has been a resident of Dungate Manor for nearly five years now. We were blessed when we found Dungate. From the moment Dad stepped into his new home they have consistently tended to his every need. The whole team are professional, compassionate and work tirelessly to ensure a safe, caring
environment. They provide unique personal care tailored for every individuals need.
Great care is also made to the comfort of all residents with lovely surroundings, updated soft furnishings, continued decoration updates that all add to it having the feeling of being a ‘home’. We could not be happier with Dungate Manor. Five star plus for sure.

I looked around many care homes before deciding upon Dungate Manor. Dungate Manor stood out from all the rest because of its buzzy, friendly atmosphere and the professionalism and caring attitude of all the staff I encountered. I was not disappointed. I visited at random times and always found the staff
to be caring and friendly in all their interactions. They were thoughtful and resourceful in addressing my father’s needs and always welcoming and attentive.

During my wife's time at Dungate Manor when she had Parkinson's she only experienced kindness and outstanding care. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff in making her comfortable and providing good nourishment, entertainment, and a positive attitude in a situation of declining health. Visiting
times were very flexible and encouraged for all the family to see her for both her husband, children and grandchildren. Good advice was provided going forward for both financial and care provision which was helpful and reassuring.

We really couldn’t have picked a better environment for Mum. The staff were excellent and handled mums and our needs with the utmost care and dignity. They really made us feel special through exceptional communication with a personal touch and with beautiful and peaceful surroundings on the home’s grounds

It is really sad that Mum is no longer with us and not living at Dungate Manor. As a family, we have some very happy memories of her living there and really miss everyone who looked after her. The manager and all his staff were absolutely amazing. She initially visited on a daycare basis then as her
health declined she became a resident. She had a beautiful room looking out to the golf course which seemed such a personal touch as she loved her golf. The fantastic care and support for her and us as a family was exceptional and we will never forget you all. Thank you!

Being an adult under 50, and having a complex medical history for both physical and mental health, it is extremely difficult to find a care home that will even consider taking me. I needed emergency respite back in June 2022 and that lead me to realize that the care I was receiving in my own home was
totally inadequate. I felt safe in a caring environment for the first time in years. Every aspect of my care needs are being met with respect and dignity. I had a huge input in my care plan and worked closely with the manager here to achieve a care plan that is totally tailored to my individual needs with both my physical health and my mental health requirements. I have become far more independent here, I have gained confidence, and found my own voice and strength. This has been achieved through the careful management of a team that works well together.

Dungate Manor is an amazing care home. My grandmother has been there for a few years and always has the top level of care even when she was ill and had to stay in hospital for a while, the hospital was very impressed with the care she receives. The staff have worked hard through the pandemic and did
everything they could to keep residents safe. The fact every time I see my grandmother she is happy speaks volumes.

Dungate Manor is a five-star care home. The whole team from management, care team, kitchen team, entertainment team, etc. all work together tirelessly to make each resident feel safe, secure, cared for to the highest standard. They take the time to fully understand each residents personal needs, they
focus on maintaining dignity, supporting everyone’s physical and mental health and always with compassion and a smile on their faces. Alongside this they continue to improve the Manor House keeping it to a high standard. During the two and a half years my father-in-law has resided there he has benefited from lovely new carpet, new comfortable armchairs, interactive wall decorations and time in the lovely garden too. Could not be happier with Dungate. Especially how they have managed during such a challenging time through Covid.

Her passion lies in supporting elderly people and finding ways to brighten their day, whether through a kind word, a shared laugh, or simply being there when needed.


Gina thrives on building meaningful connections and is devoted to making Dungate a welcoming, supportive place for both residents and staff. When she’s not at work, Gina enjoys relaxing with music and a good TV show, recharging for the next day of making a difference.

Ania

Ania Odziomek

Job Title: Chef Joined: 2007

Anna has been a dedicated cook at Dungate Manor Care Home since February 2007. With a passion for preparing a variety of cuisines, she brings both flavour and care to every meal she creates. Anna is deeply empathetic and takes great pride in supporting the health and well-being of residents through nutritious, home-cooked meals tailored to their needs.

Marcin Obara

Marcin has been a cornerstone of Dungate Manor since 2004, making him one of the longest-serving members of the team. Known as the go-to maintenance expert, Marcin keeps everything running smoothly, if something needs fixing or repairing, he’s the first person everyone turns to.


Beyond his practical skills, Marcin is also fantastic with the residents, always taking the time for a friendly chat or lending a helping hand. Outside of work, he enjoys countryside drives and catching up with friends.

Fena brings energy and creativity to Dungate Manor as our Lifestyle Coordinator, making sure residents stay active, engaged, and entertained. From games like bowls to themed events and social gatherings, Fena puts real thought into planning fun activities that everyone can enjoy.


She’s fantastic with the residents and always makes an effort to include everyone, creating a warm and lively atmosphere throughout the home. When she’s not at work, Fena enjoys reading and spending quality time with her loved ones and friends.

Fiona has over 30 years of experience working within the healthcare sector and is a Registered Nurse, remaining active on the NMC register. Her management career started as a charge nurse and then as a ward manager within the NHS, working in wards specialising in care for older adults enduring mental health conditions and dementia.


For the last 15 years, Fiona has worked in the Care Home Sector, taking on various Management roles, including Registered Manager, Regional Support Manager, Clinical and Quality Manager, Compliance Consultant and Operations Manager.


Remaining very hands-on clinically, she is passionate about supporting our management teams to deliver exceptional person-centred care, ensuring all individuals can maintain their independence and enjoy the excellent quality of life our care homes offer.

Louise is the Operations Manager at Premium Care Group Ltd, bringing over 20 years of experience in health and social care. Her career began as a domiciliary carer while raising her young children, originally seeking flexible work, she quickly discovered a deep passion for making a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Since then, she has never looked back.


Throughout her career, Louise has held a variety of roles across the sector, each building on the last and shaping her strong understanding of what good care truly looks like. Her journey has led her to her current role, where she oversees multiple care homes, supports managers, and ensures the highest standards of quality, compliance, and person-centred care.


Louise is passionate about fostering environments where both residents and staff feel genuinely supported. She leads with integrity, remains hands-on when needed, and is deeply committed to staying connected to the people behind the work. Supporting others to succeed and feel valued is at the heart of everything she does.

As Customer Liaison Manager, I support families in one of the most important decisions they’ll ever make, finding the right home for their loved ones. I guide and support each care enquiry with compassion and professionalism, ensuring every family feels heard, informed, and confident in their choices.


In addition to my work with families, I also oversee our marketing and advertising, helping to showcase the heart of our homes and the care we provide. I’m a people person at heart, and I’m proud to be part of a business that shares my core belief: life does not end with a dementia diagnosis. Our homes are places to continue living with dignity, joy, and purpose.

Danielle Barham

Job Title: Group Lifestyle Manager

In July 2025, I was honoured to become the Group Lifestyle Manager for Premium Care Group, where I oversee and develop lifestyle programmes across all our care homes to enhance residents’ wellbeing and quality of life.


Before this, I was Care Manager at Weald Hall, having started my career there as a care assistant. I quickly built strong relationships with residents and the care team. My passion has always been to make a genuine difference, caring for every resident as if they were part of my own family.


At Premium Care Group, we are committed to providing excellent, individualised care that promotes independence and enables residents to live their lives to the fullest. I look forward to continuing to create welcoming, engaging environments where family, friends, and our residents feel at home.

Job Title: Group Community Engagement Manager

With 28 years of experience in the care sector, Kate has held a wide range of roles, from domiciliary care to Deputy Care Manager. Most recently, she served as an Administrator, bringing extensive knowledge, dedication, and vital support to her team. Her deep-rooted passion for elderly care shines through in everything she does, and she thrives at the heart of the home, staying closely connected with both staff and residents.


Kate has a particular passion for community engagement. She loves meeting new people, building meaningful relationships, and making a genuine difference in the lives of others. She takes great pride in supporting other homes across the Premium Care Group and is always willing to contribute wherever she can.


Now serving as the Group Community Engagement Manager for Premium Care Group, a role she is immensely proud of, Kate continues to champion connection, compassion, and community across the organisation.


Outside of work, Kate enjoys spending time with her horses and her beloved dog, Selly. A devoted family person, she cherishes quality time outdoors with her two children, Josh and Daisy, and her loved ones.
