My little lady is surrounded by lots of tenderness and proficiency from everyone. I'm free to call by any time and made welcome as well. I love their empathy - a really caring team. Last week my father, only a few weeks away from his 89th birthday, peacefully passed away. He had been a resident at Dungate Manor for the past five years and I know these final years were joyful for him. The managers and the care staff treated my father, as they do all the other residents, like a family member. This deep care and sincere compassion continued until his very end. My sister and I were allowed to stay at our father's bedside for the last two days of his life and we were superbly looked after by the Dungate team. I just want to thank the managers and the staff (day and night shifts) for everything they did for my father. Myself and my sister and her husband cannot thank you enough.

My mum arrived at Dungate in March 2022. She was 84 at the time and was struggling with severe dementia. The staff at Dungate welcomed her with open arms and made her 18-month stay with them a happy one. I always felt she was so well looked after. My mum needed round-the-clock care. I loved the way the carers cuddled her and made jokes with her and made her laugh. My mum would laugh and her eyes would light up when they chatted with her. The staff really understood my mum so well, they‘d all taken the time to get to know her.
Dungate is a happy place. The residents are encouraged to spend their day downstairs with the other residents, this was so good for my mum. She thrived on watching what was going on as she couldn’t read or watch the television.
Dungate Manor is a very special place, it has a real family feel.
I really can‘t thank the staff enough at Dungate for all the love they gave my mum.

Dungate deserves a hundred stars. Thank you for taking such great care of my mum.

I wish I could give Dungate Manor 10 stars. My father lived there for the final two and a half years of his life. He had severe dementia and needed a high level of care and I cannot fault them on a single aspect of his care. Residents are treated with love, compassion and dignity. The atmosphere in the home is incredible, it truly is like one big family. Within weeks of my father being there, it was clear to me that the staff were really getting to know him. They would tell me things he had said or done which proved to me they were spending time with him; things like little quirks of his personality or classic things he said that they could only know by being by his side.

My father died peacefully in Dungate in November 2023 and I was with him throughout his final week. I was already happy with the home but the love and care the staff showed both my father and me went above and beyond, I will be eternally grateful for their wonderful care. Dungate Manor truly is the best care home.

My father has been a resident of Dungate Manor for nearly five years now. We were blessed when we found Dungate. From the moment Dad stepped into his new home they have consistently tended to his every need. The whole team are professional, compassionate and work tirelessly to ensure a safe, caring environment. They provide unique personal care tailored for every individuals need.

Great care is also made to the comfort of all residents with lovely surroundings, updated soft furnishings, continued decoration updates that all add to it having the feeling of being a ‘home’. We could not be happier with Dungate Manor. Five star plus for sure.

My mum has been living at Dungate Manor since January 2023. She has found settling in hard having lived very independently at home until she became unable to care for herself any longer. The kindness she has been shown by all the staff at Dungate has been outstanding and my family and I can’t thank you all enough for making her life as happy as it can be. You are all very special and I feel my mum looks upon you as her extended family. Thank you, manager and team.

I looked around many care homes before deciding upon Dungate Manor. Dungate Manor stood out from all the rest because of its buzzy, friendly atmosphere and the professionalism and caring attitude of all the staff I encountered. I was not disappointed. I visited at random times and always found the staff to be caring and friendly in all their interactions. They were thoughtful and resourceful in addressing my father’s needs and always welcoming and attentive.

During my wife's time at Dungate Manor when she had Parkinson's she only experienced kindness and outstanding care. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff in making her comfortable and providing good nourishment, entertainment, and a positive attitude in a situation of declining health. Visiting times were very flexible and encouraged for all the family to see her for both her husband, children and grandchildren. Good advice was provided going forward for both financial and care provision which was helpful and reassuring.

Thank you so much for your help and kindness.

It is really sad that Mum is no longer with us and not living at Dungate Manor. As a family, we have some very happy memories of her living there and really miss everyone who looked after her. The manager and all his staff were absolutely amazing. She initially visited on a daycare basis then as her health declined she became a resident. She had a beautiful room looking out to the golf course which seemed such a personal touch as she loved her golf. The fantastic care and support for her and us as a family was exceptional and we will never forget you all. Thank you!

Now beginning to share Through the Eyes of a Child with other care homes across the group, Daisy continues to lead with kindness, empathy, and maturity beyond her years, proving that age is no barrier to making a meaningful difference.
