Hope Valley Care Home is well equipped and experienced in dementia care and warmly welcomed my husband at the end of June 2025. It is definitely the best place for him to be. The staff and management are professional, competent, and well trained. There is a lovely caring, family atmosphere and
residents are treated with respect and dignity. Each resident is seen and valued as a unique individual and not just a person with dementia. The Activities Co-Ordinator is dedicated and has a lively programme of events, also spending time with each individual, getting to know them and their personal interests and tailoring activities to suit them. Staff and management encourage feedback, they listen and respond to comments and requests, leading to improvements in the service. Dietary requirements and requests are honoured. Visitors and relatives are also made to feel valued, understood and supported in their journey of caring for their loved one.

I have been in care work for 38 years. I have been a support worker, a supervisor, a trainer and a manager for Social Services. Hope Valley has new owners/managers and has only been open since March 2025. I visited Hope valley yesterday 5-2-25, i found the home to be well run, very clean, very
caring. The residents seemed very happy with the care given to them and enjoyed the morning & afternoon activities. They have a large variety of meals on offer which are cooked on the premises. The rooms are large and can be fitted with the residents own items to make them more homely and familiar. Rooms have an-suits with Loo & sink and many have personal showers. The communication system is all done through computer which is connected to smart phones for staffs use to record information on residents and tasks that are done throughout their shifts. Residents can chose when they want to get up and go to bed. Care-plans are designed with person centre planning & are up-dated regularly. All the staff I met were very friendly and helpful. In all my years experience in care I have never seen a nursing/care home run as proficiently as Hope Valley.
