My husband I spent a considerable period of time researching and visiting homes to create a shortlist for my father. We loved Ladybrook Manor right from our first visit, it was warm and friendly and the food was good. To us it was head and shoulders above the alternatives that we had found, we were
very glad when my father agreed.
More than a year (and two Christmases later) we are still very glad that he is in Ladybrook Manor. The care is very good, there are plenty of activities to keep him entertained and the food is good (he has put on weight in a good way). My favourite part is their coffee area, every time I visit we get a cuppa there, it's a lovely place to sit and be sociable (but completely separate from the lounge with residents watching TV). Also there is often some baked goods from the kitchen to be had in the afternoon.
Would highly recommend.

Staff are helpful and caring and are willing to spend time with mum. The home is always welcoming when you visit and clean and tidy.
The only slight issue was with washing and clothes being mixed up.

In the eighteen months my mum has been in Ladybrook Manor I have always found all staff to be very friendly and caring both to the resident and family members.
The atmosphere in the home is bright and cheerful and it feels very welcoming.

My Mum is very happy at the home. She is very well cared for. The facilities are exceptional. The majority of the reception staff know me by name and are always welcoming. The carers and managers are always welcoming, polite and helpful. It is lovely to see all the staff speaking not only to my Mum
by name but to the other residents. It shows such care and attention to each individual. My only criticism is that the home does not seem to have an effective system for tracking clothes and belongings of residents that have gone missing, despite being labelled.

I am extremely pleased with Ladybrook manor as a 'home' for my mum. The staff are always pleasant and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. They all make my mum feel valued and part of the community in the home . The staff have always kept us informed of any medical issues / concerns / general
information, and are always quick to respond to any
phone calls , messages or emails . My mum is always greeted with a smile and / or a positive comment . Staff are quick to assess my mum's mood / needs at all times . We are able to ring up at anytime with a question , a reminder for my mum or to pass on information, and are confident that it will help dealt with as soon as is possible .

This is a personal complaint.
Prior to lunch on 12 August 2025 I was waiting at a space of the long corridor to be in time for my lunch. I came up behind a fellow guest, pushing his self, pushing his trolley. I called out that I was attempting to pass on his right as shown level on his R.H. since
he shouted out causing me to jump instantly. This left me dizzy. When I reached the dining room I was quite faint. I called out fortunately one of the members of staff chatting to a lady member it took a lot of minutes to get a response despite explaining I was going to pass out. I spent the afternoon resting and had little or no food.

When visiting my wifes brother we have found the staff both helpful and friendly with a positive approach to residents. The bistro offers an informed space and comfortable environment to have a coffee and chat to family with a pleasant ambiance.

My mother has been in Ladybrook Manor for 18 months now and I am very happy with the care and service provided. The facilities in the home (eg activities, coffee lounge) make it a pleasant environment to live and to visit. The staff are friendly and helpful.

The staff at Ladybrook are amazing, always welcoming and have the time of day for you, no matter what level the staff are. My mother is treated as part of the family at Ladybrook and is happy in her home.

Our Grandad came here in December 2023 and was not in a good place both mentally and physically. Following multiple accidents at his home and long stays in the hospital, Grandad accepted that change was needed and we got him discharged from hospital directly to the home. Grandad was unable to walk
safely at this time. The process was so easy and well coordinated by the team and I am pleased to say that Grandad is enjoying his life here. He is happy, well fed and supported by the team.
Through his mobility classes we are pleased to say that he back on his feet and walking. The team here are brilliant and always available to have a chat about anything. He even gets his fresh oatcakes from Staffordshire!

Our mother had been a resident in 2016/17 and received such great care in what turned out to be her final months. I had no hesitation in getting back in touch when needing the best possible care home solution for our 95-year-old dad. Although no longer under the previous company name, but Ladybrook
Manor, everything from the speedy process to secure a place to the warm, caring, dignified welcome he has experienced has been what we had hoped for! Still early days as we head into week three, but grateful for everything and everybody we have experienced so far!

My relative has been made to feel part of the larger family, he is shown compassion, care and friendship, whilst still maintaining as much independence as he wishes. At any point, I can ask questions, which are answered and any issues are addressed, to support his life choices.
There are a wide
selection of activities to participate in, either within the home or planned trips to a variety of places in the surrounding area.
He is offered choices on how he wishes to live his life, to the full, within his own capabilities.

Care home was very helpful in getting my mother out of the rehabilitation hospital and into their care, despite many barriers being placed in their way by the NHS. My mother is now getting the best possible care in a pleasant nurturing environment.

My wife was happy during her stay, made friends with residents and made a good recovery. The management and staff were very professional and made you feel welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. A good variety of activities daily and a good variety of meals served.

My mother has been a resident at Ladybrook Manor since 28.11.16. Mum was moved in the last few months to Reminiscence, the specialist dementia care part of the home. Mum is 91 and I love the fact that when I arrive I know the main reception staff and they know me, also the senior management and
Director which is always very helpful. The staff and management have a sense of humour and do not mind 'frank talking' and respond to your queries. Mum has for a number of years sat in a wheelchair by choice, not medical, but moving to Reminiscence has been so much better because Mum no longer uses a wheelchair and is not sat in her room but in the dining room/lounge area when I visit. The team are dedicated and very special and I receive feedback as to how mum is/has been, to 'she needs some hair clips'. All have a lovely smile and are pleased to see you visit, I think the bags of chocolate also help!

My father has been living at Ladybrook Manor for a couple of years. He is 92 and seems extremely content. All the staff have been very kind and caring and I can’t think of any negative issues at all. His room is very cosy, the communal spaces are comfortable. He enjoys the meals and has been on a
few trips out which he has particularly enjoyed. I am more than happy to recommend the home.

My mother has been a resident at Ladybrook Manor for 6 months now and is well settled into the environment. She has found the transition difficult for an independent person living alone to being within a community, but now feels safe and looked after.
The thing I most notice when arriving to visit
is how personable and cheerful the staff are - there is always a welcome and they recognise and respect all of the residents and visitors alike.
The building has great common parts, a great reception area and in the summer my mother will much enjoy sitting in the gardens - a great view of which she has from her room which is excellently appointed.
Her room is on the small side from choice as she spends so much time around the building in activity rooms, TV area, coffee bar etc.
I feel my mother is safe, stimulated, cared for and active.
Thank you.

Dad seems more relaxed and content than he has done for several years. Our family are at ease knowing that he is in safe hands with caring and attentive staff who are all extremely pleasant and friendly towards him. He enjoys his food and his mealtimes when he socialises with other residents. He
equally enjoys his time alone listening to his music, reading, and watching TV. He is relatively independent but staff are very helpful when necessary i.e. accessing TV channels. His medications and occasional health issues appear to be well managed by the staff.
Mum spent a year in Ladybrook Manor and for the last few months was on the reminiscence unit where she received excellent and respectful care.

Mum has been in the care home approaching 2 years in total, the majority of this time being spent in the Reminiscence Department. The general quality of overall care has been very good, delivered by caring, conscientious and in the main, experienced staff supported by what appears to be temporary or
short-term support staff. The quality of food is excellent though Mum is extremely fussy about what she eats and often eats very little. This is a concern to the family though in fairness in it, difficult to see what staff can do to improve this without force-feeding!
Her room is lovely. Large, well maintained and cleaned regularly.
Overall the family are happy with the levels of support and care Mum receives.

My father has been a full-time resident since my mother passed away in March 20023. He is now 96 and has developed Alzheimer-related dementia.
We decided to see how “respite” worked in preparation for the next stage. Having looked at a number of other establishments, we were impressed by the
set-up at Ladybrook Manor and the general good feeling on our visits.
We arranged for them to go on 2 occasions for 3 months at a time. It seemed like a holiday for them and certainly, when they returned home it became clear they should have stayed.
Dad is settled and happy here, the accommodation is first class as are the meals. The social life is there to participate in should he wish and the medical care is excellent.
It has made our life much better as we can visit at any time and don’t have to worry about anything.
